Shortest path maps are used for planning short length paths from a fixed source point s to varying goal points. In the standard shortest path map the implied shortest paths can have any turn angle. Such paths may not be acceptable for planning routes for robotic vehicles with limited turn-radius. We propose a modified shortest path map that can be used for planning turn-constrained collision-free paths. We present a simple algorithm for constructing turned-constrained shortest path maps and discuss interesting extensions.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131809228","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Risk-based testing consists of a set of activities regarding risk factors identification related to software requirements. Once identified, the risks are prioritized according to their likelihood and impact and test cases are designed based on the strategies for treatment of the identified risk factors. Thus, test efforts are continuously adjusted according to risk monitoring. The paper also briefly reviews available risk-based approaches, describes the benefits that are likely to accrue from the growing body of work in this area and provides a set of problems, challenges and future work.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130835044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quantum measurement schemes employing adaptive feedback are most effective, since accumulated information from measurements is exploited to maximize the information gain in subsequent measurements. Yet devising such feedback policies is complicated and often involves clever guesswork. Here we present an automated method, based on machine learning, to generate adaptive feedback measurement policies. We apply our technique to adaptive quantum phase measurement, which is important for applications such as atomic clocks and gravitational wave detection. Our algorithm autonomously learns to perform phase estimation based on experimental trial runs, which can be either simulated or performed using a real world experiment.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127814412","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed model consists of three interconnected queue processing nodes. Expressions were derived to calculate performance measures, namely; throughput, and average queuing delay. In order to investigate and analyze the effectiveness and flexibility of the proposed model, two scenarios were performed. These scenarios investigate the variation of packets arrival probability against throughput), and average queuing delay. Beside that we compare between the three queue nodes of the proposed model using the derived performance measures to identify which queue node provides better performance. Results show that queue node one has better performance than queue node two and three with regard to throughput. All the above performance measure results for the queue nodes are obtained only based on the queuing network setting parameters. Therefore the node which offers better performance results than others is solely based on the given values for the setting parameter.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133765365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main objective of this approach is how to obtain systematically a DSL from a domain analysis that may be using the system code compliance to all Business Rules outlined, and no documents and settings very complex. Many problems of Systems Computer Software Computer Software Systems-CSS) are derived from a specification with and without its behavior defined. To resolve these problems, business rules will be treated since its formalization to its construction and testing. In this context, Petri Nets provide a graphical description technique easy to understand and, closed to state-transition diagrams. Parallelism, concurrency and sincronization are easy to model in a Petri net. Add to this, many techniques and tools (in software) are available for the analysis of Petri nets. However, too much formalization can bring problems to software development and the time and cost grow. Furthermore it is suggested that formal methods have fewer errors than the heuristic methods.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"328 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115385821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a scheme of node behavior classification was proposed based on the analysis of mobile Ad Hoc networks’ own laws in practical application. Analytic hierarchy process is used in conjunction with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to classifying nodes’ behavior according to their motion state, so that the design complexity of networking protocols can be simplified and different set of networking protocols that best fit the circumstances can be disigned correspondingly. The scheme is applied under an example network for rescue, where different routing policies are used by corresponding nodes classified by proposed node behavior classification scheme. Simulation results demonstrate the accuracy of the scheme.","PeriodicalId":379699,"journal":{"name":"2010 Seventh International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116945277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work aims to propose a set of indicators that show how a deterministic error affects the business of the organization. They use the approach Goal-Question-Metric (GQM) which allows the analysis of the goals of the organization questions, and from these questions develop metrics that consider the variables that impact the business of organization. Measurements are performed when justified by a clearly defined goal and the indicators are generated if they are strongly related to the business objectives of this organization. After these indicators, is a report indicating what steps the organization should take to ensure that errors do not occur further.
