A typical rule of thumb is 20% of the routing resources allocated for power distribution network. However, with the introduction of 2.5D packaging for multi-chip on package, the power budget allocation is yet relax for additional IR Drop in interposer layers, hence a power distribution network engineering change order (ECO) is a function of design implementation flow, to be explored and deployed. This paper will share the in-design power distribution network ECO and results. The seamless in-design power distribution network ECO results in 7% IRDrop improvement compared to out of the box solutions from EDA tools.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132898541","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, it has been demonstrated that the Free Space Optical (FSO) communication system has characteristics that match the above benefits over other forms of communication systems. However, a significant degrading component that considerably impacts its propagation is the occurrence of atmospheric fog, which greatly diminishes its quality when it propagates over an atmospheric scattering medium. This paper evaluates the degree of the effects of various atmospheric conditions within the eastern coast of South Africa: Durban as a case study, using different approaches available for Free Space Optical communications. This work also classified the entire visibility range into different classes, to properly account for all the atmospheric conditions in this location. The collected visibility data were used to estimate the specific optical attenuation magnitude and the received optical power over Durban for the entire year 2011. The results obtained showed that there are several occurrences of severe atmospheric attenuation especially during the worst-case scenarios, reaching as high as 169.81 dB/km which can cause optical link failure or outage. The results of the computed link margin also showed that during situations of thick, moderate and light fog conditions with expected atmospheric attenuations as high as 340 dB/km, 85 dB / km and 34 dB / km, the optical link cannot transmit further than 0.34 km, 0.70 km and 1.24 km respectively.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125370743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The steady state performance of the AFPMG is predicted based on a magneto-static analysis. The magnetic flux and air gap flux density distribution are obtained from the FE model where initial results are validated by experimental setup. A custom macro is developed to extract the induced voltages and the harmonics contents in the output waveform of the generator. Finally the FE no-load and load performance results are obtained and compared with experimental test results.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125275627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It shows very uncommon behaviour, that a pneumatic platform that can be grasped, contract, extend (stretch), and bend in all directions based on the three designed muscles that connected and operated as parallel actuation. This idea had been launched from an animal whose body has no rigid structures (without bones), like an Octopus, Elephant trunk, and some other animals. The pneumatic muscle actuator (PMA) represents a valuable addition and expansion to the robotics investigation area 20 years ago. These actuators (PMAs) give worthy additions to the robotic systems. These actuators support considerable features like flexibility, lightweight, high force according to weight ratio and the ability to have changeable shapes. This paper has studied a new length model 50 cm to every single extensor PMA. The proposed arm shows about 50% extension ratio and the ability to bend along the three dimensions.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"144 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129800424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A cascode scheme (common source transistor followed by common gate transistor) is employed in the design of the achieved power amplifier. To boost the power gain, two stages cascode amplifier with a common source (CS) scheme as the third stage are used covering the operating band. This PA attains a power gain of about 18.86 dB and reaches an excellent flatness of about ±0.3. The output P1dB is about −3 dBm. A broad range of impedance matching at input and output is accomplished. The input return loss (S11), the output return loss (S22), and the reverse isolation (S12) equal about <-5 dB, <−3 dB, and <-100 dB, respectively.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"21 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120836223","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, sign languages are not commonly understood, and this poses a great communication barrier between the hearing-impaired and the rest. This paper builds, based on prior wok, a novel approach that breaks the barrier one-way with accessibility and accuracy as the key objectives. It achieves accessibility using mobile devices for user-facing interactions and accuracy using a transformer model. The system uses a four-stage pipeline to enable one-way communication between hearing-gifted and hearing-impaired: audio capture, audio-to-text conversion, text-to-gloss transliteration, and gloss animation. The user-facing first and last stages of the pipeline are implemented on mobile devices to ensure wide accessibility, while the computationally intensive middle stages are implemented on cloud servers. Empirical evaluations show that the approach has a high accuracy.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123469619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It focuses on the distribution of the ultrasonic sensors, data reading, and graph plotting. The system is developed around seven HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors, a servomotor, a Bluetooth adapter, and an SD card adapter. An Arduino Mega development board controls all these components. First-time, the circuit functionality was tested on a breadboard. The final system was implemented on a custom PCB. Scannings of round and square shape objects were conducted, which reveals the scanning capability of the system and the resolution of the sensor distribution as a critical factor.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"144 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127559701","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this process, selecting classification algorithms and tuning classification parameters are crucial for efficient classification. In recent years, many deep learning algorithms have been used successfully in text classification tasks. This paper performed a comparative study utilizing and optimizing several deep learning-based algorithms. We have implemented deep neural networks (DNN), convolutional neural networks (CNN), long shortest-term memory (LSTM), and gated recurrent units (GRU). In addition, we performed extensive experiments by tuning hyperparameters to improve classification accuracy. In addition, we implemented word embeddings techniques to acquire feature vectors of text data. Then we compared our word embeddings results with traditional TF-IDF vectorization results of DNN and CNN. In our experiments, we used an open-source Turkish News benchmarking dataset to compare our results with previous studies in the literature. Our experimental results revealed significant improvements in classification performance using word embeddings with deep learning-based algorithms and tuning hyperparameters. Furthermore, our work outperformed previous results on the selected dataset.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"115 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121385200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The traction GMB is provided for installation on a motor trolley as part of an asynchronous electric drive of a suburban electric train. Railway transmission systems operate in an environment with various sources of mechanical and electromagnetic excitations, where the possible unstable operation of the traction motor is one of the most critical indicators. This paper describes the structure and functionality of the physical test equipment and a model of a coupled system with a complete electrical circuit, including a rectifier, a DC link, a traction inverter, a motor-gear unit, and a system of mechanical connections, including flexible damper couplings and shock absorbers. This approach makes it possible to determine the intrinsic resonant frequencies of the GMB design, as well as the level of vibration activity of the GMB under dynamically changing loads. The obtained cascade characteristics of vibration activity correspond to both a long-term steady-state mode and transient mechanical disturbances during start-up, a change in rotation speed and the transition of the GMB to the run-out mode.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132046317","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Over voltage or voltage strike is the most important phenomena for the transformers. Thus, the evaluating and estimating the effects and stresses of these sudden high voltages is important during the transformers life time operation and design stage. Accordingly in this paper the electromagnetic field analyses of the lightning impulse on Photovoltaic (PV) transformer are investigated using ANSYS Maxwell software. The 3D and 2D model simulation of the PV transformer is carried out to determine the electric field and voltage distribution on critical regions which can cause breakdown on insulation material and damage transformer windings and affects transformer working. Afterwards according to the simulation result, the subjected transformer was designed considering the relative critical regions and performs the full wave lightning impulse test in factory area to verify the dielectric strength of the transformer. This study provides better understanding of the lightning impulse voltage effects with localization of the critical regions on the PV transformer and helps to improve the withstand capability of the transformer against the lightning impulse voltages during the design and production stage.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131133782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
