The proposed approach consists of three phases. Specifically, in the first phase, we utilize the principle component analysis transformation to reduce the dimensionality of the CSI data and produce a set of principal components that can explain the variance within the CSI data. In the second phase, we extract 17 time- and frequency-domain features from the computed principal components obtained from the first phase. Furthermore, the minimum redundancy maximum relevance algorithm is applied to select a subset of the extracted features. Finally, in the third phase, we use the selected features to build a set of support vector machine classifiers to recognize the performed two-human interactions. A publicly available CSI dataset, which includes CSI signals that were acquired from 40 pairs of subjects while executing 13 two-human interactions, was used to assess the performance of our proposed approach. The average accuracy achieved by our proposed approach was 86.21%. Moreover, the reported results illustrate the efficacy of our proposed approach to accurately recognize various two-human interactions.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133999341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To solve this challenge, this paper proposes a robust optimization model to obtain the optimal solution for the worst-case scenario of photovoltaic generation. A Mixed Binary Linear Programming problem is transformed into a trackable robust counterpart to provide immunity against the worst-case realization. Through the budget of uncertainty, the risk of the solution can be adjusted. The results demonstrate that the influence of Battery Energy Storage System and Electric Vehicles against uncertainties leads to higher economic gains up to 6% reduction.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":" April","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113946900","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The association of several residents with PV production (prosumers) is also allowed, increasing the value of the total installed production capacity, also increasing the scale factor of prosumers. This work explores shared self-consumption in a multi-apartment building, and based on real electricity production and consumption data, an optimization model based on Mixed Integer Linear programming (MILP) was implemented. The main goal was to minimize the electricity consumption costs from the external electrical network of each apartment, maximizing the benefits of non-production consumers in joining the self-consumption program, and maximizing the profits of prosumers. A sensitive analysis of total cost and prosumer/consumer benefit was evaluated. The obtained results show that prosumers and consumers can both have interesting financial benefits for participating in shared PV generation programs.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121511772","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim is to study the reduction in gate leakage current for Nano-scale devices. High-K Dielectric having K ≥ 20 is beneficial for CMOS Nano-devices, reducing the gate leakage current when EOT ≤ 0.5 nm. MOS structure with high-K, i.e., HfO2 and ZrO2, has been simulated in SILVACO T-CAD to consider as gate stack: metal/oxide/p-Si for the different FAB nodes; 45, 32, 22 & 14 nm. SiO2 is considered a reference to optimize the MOS structure with high-K dielectric. As a result, 7–8 times the higher physical gate oxide layer is achieved compared to SiO2, which has a significant impact on minimizing the gate leakage current.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121953860","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A prosthetic robotic arm helps disabled people increase their movement, manage their everyday activities, and maintain independence. Prosthetic arms currently on the market are prohibitively expensive for the financially disadvantaged and less user-friendly. This work aims to develop a low-cost, three dimensional (3D) prosthetic robotic hand that focuses on children. The prosthetic robotic arm was built using a compact microcontroller (ESP32). Every time the user desires to grasp and pick an object, the force sensor receives a signal of muscle flex activity. Besides that, the proposed robotic arm is equipped with a patient monitoring system consisting of a heartbeat tracker that measures the user's pulse, heartbeat, temperature, and location via a global positioning system (GPS). The prosthetic robotic hand lifted objects consisting of the cylindrical bottle up to 1 kg of weight, rectangular bottle up to 500 ml, and square bottle up to 300 ml. The patient monitoring system shows the temperature of 32.87 Celsius (C) and the user's pulse of 71 beats per minute (bpm) in the monitoring GUI.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126790429","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, the high deployment costs of EV charging systems along with the currently low, but increasing, penetration of EVs both slow down the investments in EV charging infrastructure. This raises concerns of range anxiety for current and prospective EV owners, for fear of running out of charge without completing their journeys or reaching a nearby charging point. Accordingly, dynamic wireless charging (DWC) solutions are introduced to enable charging EVs on the move, thereby reducing range anxiety and eliminating charging downtime. Due to their high implementation and operation costs, optimal planning of DWC infrastructure is essential to determine the most suitable locations for allocating the charging lanes. In this paper, an optimal allocation process is presented for planning the locations of DWC lanes within the city of Dubai, UAE. First, data on traffic congestion levels is collected through Google Traffic application programming interface (API) to choose a set of candidate locations for deploying the DWC lanes. An energy analysis is then conducted on the selected 19 candidates to provide recommendations on the most energy-efficient subset of locations for the deployment of DWC lanes, acknowledging the number of hours in congestion and average traveling speed at each location.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125873056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The classic passive filters still retain their practical utility, due to their advantages related to the wide spectrum of operating frequencies. In this context, the paper is focused on the analysis of constant-k passive filters. The aim is to find constructive variants that would ensure the best possible attenuation slope in the vicinity of the cut-off frequency, an aspect that offers a better selectivity of the signal frequencies that cross the filter. The influence of losses due to the resistances of the elements on the filter performance was also analyzed. The analyses and the obtained results complete the existing notions in the specialized literature.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123456617","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides that, the objective is also to identify the most affected surface of the Li-ion battery towards the temperature during the charging and discharging process. An experiment is carried out for five different conditions of battery to obtain the data for heat load calculation purposes. The five conditions are differences in discharge ampere. From the result obtained there are differences in heat load generated by the battery during the charging and discharging process for every condition. Furthermore, the greater the discharge ampere, the lower the time taken for the battery to discharge and the higher the heat load generated by the battery. Besides that, an experiment to investigate the temperature distribution along the experiment is also carried out. Four surfaces of battery (front, right, left, back in vertical position of battery) are put into concern in obtaining the temperature distribution. Every surface gives a different temperature distribution during the experiment. Surface 4 recorded the highest average temperature distribution. Thus, the cooling system will consider the cooling capacity at this surface.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114405755","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system has a battery energy storage system (BESS) and flywheel energy storage system (FESS). Due to communication components, communication time delay is often occurred in the LFC system in practice. For this reason, this delay is added to system model. In order to improve the system performances, fractional order proportional-integral-derivative PIλDµ) controller is used and it is tuned via recently developed Equilibrium Optimizer (EO). The present study, three different analyzes are performed. First, effectiveness of proposed controller and method are compared with the literature. Second, impact of variations of communication time delays are analyzed. Finally, the impact of changing of system time constants are examined. Obtained results are shown that system performances have been improved. In addition, the effects of variations in time delay and time constants on the system are shown comparatively.","PeriodicalId":375340,"journal":{"name":"2022 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129456770","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
