The article is divided into two parts. The first part is the theoretical part, the second part is empirical together with a summary. The theoretical part is devoted to the theoretical basis of various authors who dealt with the issue of motivation and the concept of personality. In the empirical part, we focused on the research, which we carried out using a questionnaire. We then processed it and analyzed the results. In the end, we summarized the research and tried to suggest possible solutions to the so-called recommendations for practice. We want to reach the knowledge of the mentioned goal based on the analysis of their economic and social level. The contribution has 5 parts: in the first, we present the characteristics of the content of regional differences, regional economic-social differences and their measurement. In the second, based in the creation of the gross domestic product (GDP), we assess the economic level of the regions. In the third, we analyse and evaluate the economic activity of their inhabitants. In the fourth, we express the differences of the regions based on the analysis of the development of their cities and salaries. {"title":"Životní úroveň v krajích České republiky – změny za dvě desetiletí jejich existence","authors":"Adam Kadlec, Ivana Kraftová","doi":"10.33542/vss2022-1-01","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33542/vss2022-1-01","url":null,"abstract":"Living standards in the regions of the Czech Republic - changes in two decades of their functioning The aim of the article is to present the changes that have occurred in the standard of living in the regions of the Czech Republic established in 2000, during their twenty years of functioning. The means for this comparative evaluation is a model in the 3*4 format, i. e. four relevant indicators in three main areas. The result of the analysis is to capture changes in the position of individual regions in each of the selected indicators, in each area of evaluation and in the overall assessment of the achieved standard of living. It shows that while the variability taken together is decreasing, this is not always the case in the individual indicators assessed. The findings presented can provide an impulse for managing the strengths and weaknesses affecting the standard of living at both the regional and national levels. The research sample consisted of 118 university students from different study fields of helping professions (M = 22.34; SD = 1.62). Females represented 89,8% of all respondents (M = 22.10; SD = 1.4), males represented 10.2% (M = 22.9; SD = 1.6). Slovak version of Short Dark Triad (Čopková & Šafár, in review) and Work Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation Scale (WEIMS) (Tremblay et al., 2009) were administred. At first, Slovakia responded by employing the long-term unemployed and by increasing internal migration, but there was also a gradual pressure on employing foreigners. Foreigners gradually began to come to Slovakia, not only from the EU, but also from third countries. For a more detailed analysis, 5 countries were selected, which in the last analysed year accounted for the highest percentage of the employment of foreigners from third countries. Based on the syntheses of the essential data, the authors try to highlight the probable problems that might occur in the applicable practice caused by the absence of the legislative consistency. Poverty is the primary attribute of most developing countries; this study aims at investigating the extent to which poverty can contribute to the continual uprising of climate change through specific causes like environmental degradation. The study adopted a a mixed methods approach utilizing quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon through interviews and questionnaires. Findings indicate that poverty is among the principal sources of environmental damage in North West and South West regions of Cameroon. The paper further found out that poverty has greatly contributed to environmental degradation as a result of deforestation of existing forests with some statistics of 32.5%. This is explained by that fact that, the massive rural exodus into urban areas creates scarcity of suitable land for agriculture. As a result, the population tends to encroach into the forest thereby destroying the existing ecosystem. The concepts of \"legitimacy\" and \"legality\" are directly linked to the exercise of official authority. Both the terms \"legality\" and \"legitimacy\" have a common basis, based on the law, the law, what is in line with the law. The clarification of legitimacy is based on the premise that what is legitimate must be legal (legal) and, in view of the legal basis, in accordance with objective law. Many ambiguities arise regarding the legitimacy of public authorities, which is questioned and criticized. It affects the relationship to work, work behaviour and, while respecting other determining factors, affects the employee's performance. The impact of personnel procedures on job satisfaction has been an area of research for a long time. The study aims to determine the degree of job satisfaction of civil servants with selected attributes of personnel activities (remuneration, education, qualification development and evaluation) according to socio-demographic variables (gender, job position, location of the district office). The goal was also to find out and analyse the existence of statistical differences between socio-demographic variables and selected attributes of personnel activities. An author's questionnaire on civil servants' satisfaction with the attributes of personnel activities was used to obtain empirical data. The data were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The highest level of job satisfaction among civil servants at district offices in the Slovak Republic was found with performance appraisal and the lowest with financial remuneration and career growth opportunities. The existence of statistically significant differences was identified with all sociodemographic variables.
