Effectively managing political hazards in the developmental sector is essential for project performance, achievement and success. In developmental projects, The Organization Control theory, upon which this research is anchored, applied quantitative methodology with a positivist paradigm using SmartPLS as a statistical tool to take into account the moderating function of governmental regulatory controlling procedures to gauge the effect of political concerns on managing risks in Saudi Arabia's developing sector. Survey questionnaires were sent to the top contractors (those with more than 250 employed workers) with an 81.9% completion rate. The findings indicate that political influences in Saudi Arabia's developing sector have a favorable impact on risk management, which is moderated by governmental regulatory controlling procedures. The connection among political influences and risk management is statistically significant ( = 0.338, M = 0.324, T = 6.185 and p < 0.05), governmental regulatory controlling procedures and risk management is statistically significant ( = 0.438, M = 0.451, T = 8.36 and p < 0.05) and the interaction of governmental regulatory controlling procedures between political factors and risk management is also statistically significant ( = 0.263, M = 0.255, T = 5.339 and p < 0.05). Professionals, specialists and experts can minimize damage resulting from political concerns and conflicts by putting risk management concepts and principles into practice.","PeriodicalId":371624,"journal":{"name":"European Project Management Journal","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121215376","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on a qualitative approach, 22 semi-structured interviews with the representatives of four categories of open innovation project members within the three Moroccan clusters were conducted. The results demonstrate how certain aspects of national culture influence partners’ behaviour in open innovation projects within innovation clusters, and what dimensions of the organisational culture of the members involved in these projects should be modified to match better with an open innovation paradigm. The findings confirm that only organizations with strong dynamic capabilities will be able to take full advantage of open innovation practices and that one of the three high-level dynamic capabilities is transformation capability that is about transforming organizational culture by promoting the open innovation culture.","PeriodicalId":371624,"journal":{"name":"European Project Management Journal","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129307401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Prominent amongst them is the hazardous effects filling stations who are involved in the sale of oil products as the downstream sector have on the environment coupled with the fact that most filling stations do not comply with the reports of Environmental Impact Assessment carried out sequel to their construction. As such, this study sought the significance of EIA exercise in filling stations construction and the extent to which their activities affect the environment in other to ascertain how sustainable the filling stations are. The study which is descriptive survey has a sample size of 110 respondents. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and for the hypotheses, using t-test and correlations to ascertain relationships. It was found that the significance/importance of carrying out an EIA exercise is non-negotiable. Further analysis also showed that the filling stations do not go through with what is contained in the EIA reports, as their operations are not also done in accordance with best practices as they release a lot of pollutants to the environment which aids in rapid degradation of the environment. All these prove beyond doubt that filling station construction projects in Owerri, Imo state are not on a sustainable path and as such it is recommended that all stakeholders such as Government regulatory agencies which include the Department of Petroleum Resources, Filling station owners/workers and even personnel in the Construction sector should join hands in ensuring that filling stations are properly planned, constructed and that their operations are environmentally friendly. The Federal Ministry of Environment (FME), Environmental activists, Civil Societies, etc. should also embark on a massive orientation as a large part of the populace do not know what EIA is all about.","PeriodicalId":371624,"journal":{"name":"European Project Management Journal","volume":"137 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124305595","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
