These changes are due to socio-economic development, demographic processes, needs of society, peculiarities of production, where human potential is replaced by artificial intelligence and other environmental factors that have a significant impact on the microenvironment of an educational organization. All these processes require a change in the management model, which could meet the trends in the development of society, quickly transform and modify. The article proposes a project management model, flexible, situational, as well as organizational and pedagogical conditions that contribute to the implementation and use of the developed management model in preschool educational organizations (PEO), regardless of the form of ownership (municipal, state or private). One of the most important conditions for the transition to digital management of PEO is the professional development of teachers in the field of digital education, the practical use of digital equipment and interactive platforms in the classroom, it is also very important to select management personnel, change the scheme for appointing managers who must have competencies in the field of management , marketing, economics, risk management and personnel, and not just have a set of pedagogical knowledge, skills and abilities, as it is now. However, the implementation of the project management model at the moment turns out to be difficult, the transition to it should be phased, as the first stage, the authors of the article propose the implementation of the organizational and pedagogical conditions described in the work.","PeriodicalId":371624,"journal":{"name":"European Project Management Journal","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135824769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Companies that provide a flexible and positive environment tend to have better staff engagement. Therefore, this study aims to test the relationship between the four dimensions of HR (human resource) flexibility (Resource flexibility in HR practices, and employee skill behavior, and coordination flexibility in HR practices and employee skill behavior) with employee engagement. The proposed study gathered 267 responses from IT (information technology) employees and data were analyzed using AMOS v22 software. Findings revealed employee engagement has a strong positive relationship with the four dimensions of human resource flexibility which account for 92% of the variance, except a negligible correlation discovered between employee engagement and coordination flexibility in human resource practices. the findings of this study act as a strategic tool for HR practitioners to design their organization environment in such a way that fosters employee engagement.","PeriodicalId":371624,"journal":{"name":"European Project Management Journal","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135824767","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study focuses on the use of digital applications specifically designed to enhance project management processes and data management, with a particular focus on work turnarounds in oil and gas company located in Kazakhstan. These innovative digital applications offer a way to facilitate efficient planning and analysis, adhering to the Minimum Functional Objectives (MFO) culture. That’s how they play a pivotal role in optimizing expenditures, preventing mishaps, and improving overall operational efficiency. However, the successful implementation of these applications is often hindered by several challenges, including the lack of appropriate digital platforms, a shortage of personnel trained in digital technology use, and a limited understanding and implementation of the MFO culture. This paper proposes a comprehensive suite of digital applications, encompassing Salesforce, TA Notes, TA Pro, PWC & A, and Mistras. These applications are specifically designed to improve the planning and execution of work, thereby playing a vital role in the digital transformation of project management processes in the oil and gas industry. The paper also underscores the potential of these technologies to revolutionize project management, while also discussing the challenges to their implementation and providing actionable solutions to overcome these hurdles.","PeriodicalId":371624,"journal":{"name":"European Project Management Journal","volume":"162 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135824941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is particularly due to the fact that the awareness of the need for project management competences to achieve project success is poor. This paper aims to close this awareness gap. The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationships between leader-leader exchange (LLX), sharing values, result orientation and personal communication as critical project management competences and their impact on project success in NPOs. The research which is based on social exchange and leadership theories, includes a testing of the research model and hypotheses using the structural equation modelling and bootstrap method. Data were collected during a survey organized in March-May 2023 that targeted more than 100 NPOs in order to apply the quantitative research method. The research findings indicate that the mediating variable “Result-Orientation” has a stronger impact on project success than the positive effect “leadership” and “sharing values” have on project success. However, the significance of leadership and sharing values for project success is increased by personal communication as an important moderating variable. The contribution to the science of this paper lies in the fact that the quantitative method was applied for the first time for the impact study with the chosen project management competences on project success. The practical relevance of the research is to encourage the adoption of social exchange and leadership theories in NPOs, to increase project contribution to civil society.","PeriodicalId":371624,"journal":{"name":"European Project Management Journal","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135824768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
