The study used literature analysis of the subject as well as the analysis of internal data of the Project Master competition. The main results of the analysis are: presentation one of the forms of promoting project management, which is the organization of the Project Master competition; identification of research areas in the field of project management among students and doctoral students. The conclusions obtained have a practical importance, because they allows identification areas of interest within the field of project management among future employees. Banking products are becoming more and more important to the citizens allowing customers to have 24/7 banking services without going to the bank. Consequently, products and services development is crucial to bank’s business values, strategic positioning and profit. Project-based management has become increasingly important in the banking sector in the last decade. This paper aims to present project management as an adequate tool by which many innovative ideas can be brought to the life. The idea of a new product can be realized through the five stages of the project life cycle. Based on the fundamental characteristics of the traditional PMI, IPMA and PRINCE2 methodologies, as well as on the specifics of the agile approach, a comparative analysis of theoretical aspects of traditional and agile methodologies is made, with the emphasis on Scrum, thus a comparison is made between applications of both types of methodologies on examples of projects in the service sector. Okwara","doi":"10.18485/epmj.2020.10.2.5","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18485/epmj.2020.10.2.5","url":null,"abstract":": The purpose of this paper is to explore barriers to green supply chain management (GSCM) implementation in the Nigerian construction industry with a view to providing a sustainable environmental friendliness and green construction practice. The research approach deployed for this study includes targeting purposively selected construction firms that are involved in GSCM in construction related projects in Imo State, Nigeria. A questionnaire survey was deployed amongst a sample of construction firms. Barriers to GSCM implementation were identified via an extensive literature review. Specifically, data for the study was acquired via questionnaires from relevant industry practitioners. The study was limited to construction firms that are involved in GSCM related activities within Imo State which is located within the high construction /‘Niger Delta’ hub of Nigeria. With the limited nature of the study in terms of geographic coverage, the results from this study can be extrapolated to cover other parts of the country. The findings revealed that barriers to GSCM implementation were mostly lack of knowledge and experience which headed the list of barriers as stated by the respondents. This is followed in that order by lack of top management support, cost of implementing GSCM, lack of government regulations and support systems amongst others were ascertained to be obstacles to GSCM implementation in Imo State. However, it is still often debated what exactly it means and what its negative sides are. Crisis and crisis management are concepts that are constantly being researched, and projects of special events that should happen during a crisis, whatever it may be, are usually postponed or cancelled completely. Digitalization of such projects brings a large number of new opportunities and indicates a completely new approach to project implementation.
