The preamplifier can be implemented in 0.18 μm CMOS, with 1.8 V supply voltage. By using a novel structure, a high gain, high bandwidth and low power preamplifier is obtained. To increase the bandwidth, an active inductor is designed. In order to increase the gain, crossover transistors pairs are used. In addition, the parameters of the circuit are tuned to obtain high gain in a high frequency range. Therefore, this circuit is employed as a band-pass preamplifier. By using the results of simulation with HSPICE software, the gain, gain-bandwidth product and power consumption are 41.8 dB, 12 GHz and 1.39 mW, respectively.","PeriodicalId":369687,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130528661","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Semen analysis is one of the principle tasks to evaluate male partner fertility potential. It has been seen in many researches that life habits and health status affect semen quality. Data mining as a decision support system can help to recognize this effect. The artificial neural network (ANN) is a powerful data mining tool that can be used for this goal. The performance of ANN depends heavily on network structure. It is a very difficult task to determine the appropriate structure and is a discussable matter. This paper utilizes a genetic algorithm to optimize the structure of artificial neural network to classify the semen samples. These samples usually suffer from unbalancing problem. Thus, this paper attempts to resolve it by using the bootstrap method. The performance of the proposed algorithm is significantly better than the previous works. We achieve accuracy equal to 93.86% in our experiments on a real fertility diagnosis dataset that is a good improvement compared with other classification methods.","PeriodicalId":369687,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130675994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As known, solar panel experiences multiple maximum power points (MPPs) if PSC occurs. Therefore, MPP tracking (MPPT) becomes harder compared with the uniform irradiance condition in case of usage of classical algorithms. In this regard, analyzes for uniform and PSC are made by using perturb and observe (P&O) algorithm in this study. By performing several simulations, behavior of the GMPP under PSC is aimed to detect accurately. With the help of these simulations, range of voltage (region for GMPP) can be estimated as user defined accuracy.","PeriodicalId":369687,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO)","volume":"111 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123979083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Four different algorithms are proposed for density estimation problem with different perspectives. All these proposed algorithms have been tried to estimate next state of the road by looking at history of density data. Algorithms are inspired by the methods used to estimate spectrum holes in cognitive radio channels. A similar approach is used for estimation of traffic density. In this study, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Traffic Control Center data received from the busiest roads of Istanbul in 2013, have been used as traffic data. Different simulations have been performed using these algorithms and results are evaluated based on several performance criteria.","PeriodicalId":369687,"journal":{"name":"2015 9th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ELECO)","volume":"486 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114799551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed topology consists of an extended high voltage gain converter along with a buck converter. The extended high voltage gain converter is operated with a fixed conversion gain whereas the buck converter is controlled to do the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) which is an important advantage of proposed structure. The most important benefits of the proposed structure are approximately continuous input current, reduction of the number of power electronic switches and costs.
