The studied region consists of a PV power plant, a conventional source represented by a small synchronous generator with the speed controller and a load. The frequency control defined by the recent ENTSO-E Grid Code for generating units of type B is applied on the PV power plant operation and the influence of such control on frequency changes is studied. Obtained simulation results are used to outline a possible solution for future Smart Grid regions' frequency control.","PeriodicalId":369251,"journal":{"name":"2016 ELEKTRO","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131648355","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using methodologies often covers estimation of validity, reliability and transparency. Of course quality tests depend on quality learning objectives and difficulty of questions. Such a study adds another dimension to perception of the causes of poor test results. Even though many authors warn about these criteria, these tools can provide useful information to the teacher. This paper presents the developed software for quality of test evaluation. The evaluation is carried out using real data sets describing test evaluation of the course Probability and Statistics at the Faculty of electrical engineering and informatics, University of Pardubice.","PeriodicalId":369251,"journal":{"name":"2016 ELEKTRO","volume":"147 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116085410","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first part of the paper includes the mathematical description of the rotor speed observer. The second part describes Kalman filter that is used for the filtration of measured stator currents and obtaining their time derivatives. The third part describes a laboratory stand with the induction motor drive and active load unit that was used for an experimental verification of the rotor speed observer. In the last section of the paper, experimental results are shown for different changes of the induction motor speed which confirm good dynamic properties of the induction motor drive with sensorless control.","PeriodicalId":369251,"journal":{"name":"2016 ELEKTRO","volume":"239 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123888233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The possibility of changing transmission properties of the grating via the cross phase modulation (XPM) between the probe and pump signal has been shown. Several cases of switching the probe signal controlled by the pump have been presented. The schematic illustration of the switch based on nonlinear fiber Bragg gratings has been also presented. To achieve an effective exploitation of battery packs it is important to have a robust and reliable battery management. Accurate State of Charge estimation in battery management is the basis of economical and energy performance assessment of battery pack including lifetime extension. The most popular used State of Charge estimation methods are analyzed and compared in this paper including Kalman filter approach. An interesting option is also a combination of two or more methods to achieve effective estimation with acceptable computational demands. Self-learning algorithms such as Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic or Support Vector Machine are not included in this comparison since these methods need large amount of training data. The goal of this paper is the selection of accurate and simple SOC method suitable for battery pack used in stand-alone energy system.","PeriodicalId":369251,"journal":{"name":"2016 ELEKTRO","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123272227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main goal was to implement known control algorithm to the industrial converter SINAMICS S120 with the control unit CU320 using Drive Control Chart programming tool. The reference torque of a load machine is calculated through the closed-loop control algorithm using PI estimator. Proposed implementation enables the user the emulation of various mechanical loads with the industrial drive dynamometer, although only variation of the inertia and the viscous friction is reported here.","PeriodicalId":369251,"journal":{"name":"2016 ELEKTRO","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126454618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main idea of this paper is to present an independent, comparative study and some of the benefits and drawbacks of these most popular image recognition methods. Two sets of experiments are conducted for relative performance evaluations. In the first part of our experiments, the recognition accuracy of PCA, LDA and LBPH is demonstrated. The overall time execution for animal recognition process is evaluated in the second set of our experiments. We conduct tests on created animal database. The all algorithms have been tested on 300 different subjects (60 images for each class). The experimental result shows that the PCA features provide better results as LDA and LBPH for large training set. On the other hand, LBPH is better than PCA and LDA for small training data set.","PeriodicalId":369251,"journal":{"name":"2016 ELEKTRO","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-05-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129614424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
