First, we find that contributions of amino acid classification are differential for predicting protein structural classes and even the performances of some amino acid classification are better than that without using the amino acid classification. This inspires us to observe whether the combination of amino acid classification can improve the performance for predicting protein structural classes. Finally, we convert each Lempel-Ziv complexity distance matrix into a novel kernel matrix and then use Bayesian multiple kernel learning to combine all kernels. Our method is tested on four benchmark datasets and outperforms previous methods consistently. This suggests that our proposed method is valuable for predicting protein structural classes.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128337651","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many efficient and robust three-dimensional reconstruction algorithms in medicine, chemistry, biology and etc. But so far there is no efficient method for the three-dimensional reconstruction in electrical tomography since there are uncertainties, incompleteness, and “soft field” effects in ET measured data. In this paper, a novel three-dimensional reconstruction method is proposed in terms of two-dimensional image sequences from a single sensor. The fuzzy clustering first is applied to segment any original two-dimensional image in the image sequence, the clustering prototypes in any pair of adjacent two-dimensional images are matched to realize the matching of all pixels in the two frames of images, and finally the three-dimensional reconstruction of the investigated objectives is realized in terms of the interpolation algorithms. This proposed method can greatly overcome the problems of low efficiency in the existing algorithms. A group of experiments are performed to validate the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122834738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By employing an intuitionistic fuzzy residual implicator and its dual operator, generalized upper and lower intuitionistic fuzzy rough approximation operators with respect to an arbitrary intuitionistic fuzzy approximation space are first defined. Sequences of instructions are translated from the source to the target instruction set. The semantic equivalence conversion of instructions is the core of a binary translation system. In order to simulate the behavior of a program on the target platform more accurately, the change of the special state register must be exactly simulated. A flag register simulation strategy based on fusion of semantic trees is presented in this paper. First, it is determined whether the instructions meet some special conditions by the relations among instruction semantic trees. Then these instructions will be fused if the conditions are met. Finally, binary translation is carried out on the fused instructions. The experimental results show that the proposed binary translation strategy is effective. The strategy can not only reduce the problem of code inflation, but also improve the execution efficiency of the translated code.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"188 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116011303","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While Meteorological Environment Information (MEI) is a type of fuzzy information, the membership cloud theory is a useful tool for fuzzy data mining and information processing. Therefore, the fuzzy MEI's influence over OEWE is first discussed in this paper, then a method for MEI satisfaction evaluation based on membership cloud is put forward, with its feasibility and practicality analyzed in combination with the application example. Facing with this problem, the existing clustering algorithms usually show high computation cost and low efficiency. In this paper, a granulation-based clustering method is proposed for this problem. In this method, each large-scale time series in the given group is firstly segmented into subsequences (segments or windows) according to some principle, and then in each window a fuzzy information granule is built for the subsequence included. After that, a granular time series corresponding to the processed large-scale time series is obtained. Processing all the original large-scale time series in the given group in same manner will result in a group of granular time series who have good fitness to the original group of time series and are the objects of our new granulation-based clustering method. We regard the clustering result of the group of granular time series as the cluster structure of the original group of large-scale time series. The simulation experiment shows good performance and high efficiency of the new clustering approach in revealing the cluster property of the original group of large-scale time series.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114340609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
