Web browsers are tools used to display the data in graphical forms. With the evolution of Web 3.0, data has become an important part of human daily tasks, where it is used to process information, and formulate important decision rules for many organizations. Current tools used to conceptualize data are catered for some of the world well known languages such as English. However, these tools may not be able to support other languages as there are a wide range of languages with different syntax and representation. In this paper, we present a novel lexical semantic based database tool called MalayWordNet, specifically written for Malay language. Our tool is helpful for high end semantic based applications which use Malay language as part of their data presentation.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121746285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the weak fault-tolerant ability of traditional filtering methods, an approach to spam filtering based on α - positive-region of decision-theoretic rough set (DTRS) is developed. Firstly, α -positive-region attribute reduction theorem is adopted to reduce email attributes. Then, according to the minimum risk Bayesian decision theory, a three-way decision, named spam, doubt and non-spam, is realized by depicting the undecided emails using boundary region of DTRS. The simulation results show that this approach is effective and helpful to improve the performance of spam filtering.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124944420","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This algorithm is composed of the matching mask, the optimal interpolation, the filter of the parallax and the smoothing of the point cloud. First, the average intensity image and the co-occurrence matrix based on the gray and modulation levels are used to obtain the object mask. Then, a novel weighted interpolation is adopted to get the sub-pixel parallax. Next, a filter is used to remove the solitary points and smooth the parallax between intervals. After this operation, the parallax becomes smoother. Finally, a Gaussian smoothing is applied on the point cloud to reduce the burr within an interval. Experiments show that the proposed method can acquire the rebuilding region and the point cloud rapidly and accurately.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"153 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127270606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the key issues for the smart home service system is how to process real-time data from IoT layer rapidly and supply an initiative service with precision, individuation and intelligence. This paper proposes a smart home service framework based on event matching, and designs a hierarchical model for smart home services supporting real-time data awareness, data processing, event processing and service mapping. At the same time we improve the Rete algorithm to implement event engine and analyze the performance of the improved Rete algorithm. At last, an application is used to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the smart home service based on event matching.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"2004 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128823823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By extremizing Tsallis entropy within the framework of fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering, a membership function similar to the statistical mechanical distribution function is obtained. The extent of the membership function is determined by a system temperature and q. In this study, a multi-q extension method of Tsallis entropy based FCM is proposed and investigated. In this method qs are assigned to all clusters one by one. Each q value is determined to make the membership function to fit to a corresponding cluster distribution. This method is combined with the deterministic annealing (DA) method, and Tsallis entropy based multi-q DA clustering algorithm is developed. Experiments are performed on the numerical and Iris data, and it is confirmed that the proposed method improves the accuracy of clustering, and is superior to the standard Tsallis entropy based FCM.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128824099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Traditionally, IAP is created manually and presented as an oral or written plan. With advances in computers and information technology, it is feasible to generate IAP based on Emergency Management System (EMS). This paper starts with a brief explanation of the state-of-the-art of compilation of IAP. Next, the typical incident response procedures in EMS are presented and further an EMS-based IAP generation framework is proposed. In particular, the core logic of IAP generation is explained on a basis of incident-independent IAP elements analysis. Lastly, the paper concludes with the promising application of the proposed framework and several aspects worth further improvement.","PeriodicalId":368964,"journal":{"name":"2013 10th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD)","volume":"125 ","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120979806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the proposed compound attribute measure, an efficient rule extraction algorithm is presented in decision systems. Before mining the classification rules, the redundant attributes are removed in the attribute reduction stage, such that the algorithm can extract brief classification rules.
