In other words, the lack of uniformity reduced the capability for expandability within a topology. Within a mesh type connectivity pattern, the topology is very scalable and is truly uniform, but nonetheless there is a problem with the structure due to topology-inherent communication delays. Therefore, having identified the problem, the approach taken to attempt a solution was to somehow realize the possibility of developing a network topology (TM-Cube) that is purely uniform and still performs at maximum efficiency. Comparison will be based on our assumed reference model, the N-Cube.","PeriodicalId":359363,"journal":{"name":"The 24th Southeastern Symposium on and The 3rd Annual Symposium on Communications, Signal Processing Expert Systems, and ASIC VLSI Design System Theory","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1992-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115755417","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This architecture offers advantages both over traditional scan as well as circular scan. Compared to traditional scan, cellular scan shortens required test time with vectors generated deterministically. Compared to circular scan, cellular scan requires less hardware, has no limitations on state coverage, and can significantly improve random pattern testability of sequential logic.","PeriodicalId":359363,"journal":{"name":"The 24th Southeastern Symposium on and The 3rd Annual Symposium on Communications, Signal Processing Expert Systems, and ASIC VLSI Design System Theory","volume":"8 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1992-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123611013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The goal is to identify and develop mechanisms to reliably dispatch or receive a page of text or graphical material to or from any place worldwide within one minute. To allow universal compatibility, the system is designed based on the CCITT recommendations for Group 3 fax apparatus. Automated sending and receiving processes are devised in a user-friendly, menu-driven environment to minimize human intervention. The information dispatching mechanism is integrated with existing PC wordprocessors, graphics editors, and image databases. In addition, the system software is implemented at the application layer of an OSI LAN model as a fax server to provide a cost effective solution for information exchange that rivals existing document delivery system.","PeriodicalId":359363,"journal":{"name":"The 24th Southeastern Symposium on and The 3rd Annual Symposium on Communications, Signal Processing Expert Systems, and ASIC VLSI Design System Theory","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1992-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121129337","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis is based on an angular spectrum interpretation for free-space optial propagation. A relative error between the two impulse reponses is evaluated and plotted. The results indicate that the relative error between responses does not continue to increase monotonically as the paraxial approximation becomes less valid. The relative error is peaked along a V shaped curve centered along the forward direction in the propagation plane.","PeriodicalId":359363,"journal":{"name":"The 24th Southeastern Symposium on and The 3rd Annual Symposium on Communications, Signal Processing Expert Systems, and ASIC VLSI Design System Theory","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1992-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121559812","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
