This material is basic knowledge, so students need to understand these three aspects, namely: the concept and function of chemical instrumentation, the basics of chemical instrumentation analysis, and the classification of chemical analysis.The research method is quantitative descriptive with 80 students and the main data collection tool is a questionnaire / instrument. Variables were examined from all three aspects, each aspect contain 20 questions, so that in the whole questionnaire there were 60 questions. efore the questionnaire was used to retrieve data, the validity and reliability tests had been carried out and the results were declared valid and reliable, while the data analysis technique was used descriptive analysis by comparing the calculated results with the criteria set by the researcher.The results of the study concluded: 1) the concept and function of chemical instrumentation obtained a score of 69 or 86.25% with very good criteria; 2) the basics of chemical instrumentation analysis obtained a score of 72 or 90.00% with good criteria; and 3) the classification of chemical analysis obtained a score of 73 or 91.25% with very good criteria, so the final conclusion is the perception of Health Analyst students' study programs on the urgency of chemical instrumentation material is very good.","PeriodicalId":358891,"journal":{"name":"JURNAL PENDIDIKAN SAINS (JPS)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129380259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research method used is qualitative with the type of experimental research used, namely True experimental with the Control Group's pre-post test Design research design. In this study using two research samples, which were divided into control classes and experimental classes with a sample of 47 students. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental research. Based on the results of the study, the posttest results showed an average value of 78.4 which means reaching the KKM value standard of 75. The new course was deemed necessary to prepare our future chemical engineers that could apply their knowledge in sustainability frameworks. This course is taught at 8th semester of curriculum thus it should accommodate the depth learning materials that integrate basic knowledge of chemical engineering and apply it in the context of sustainability. Problem based learning is considered appropriate to accommodate these needs. Furthermore, we measured the difference of students’ learning approach before and after participating 1 semester problem based learning session, using Study Process Questionnaires (SPQ). It was found that there was increase of deep approach with decrease of surface approach values. In this study focused on discussing the ability of students to understand the concept of kinetic energy. To achieve this goal, 5 reasoned multiple choice questions were used. The question is a standard test of basic physics lectures at UM. This research is a descriptive research. The study was conducted on 50 students in the \"Physics Content and Its Pedagogic I\" course. The results showed that only 13 (26%) students correctly answered the relationship of K(x) from the F(x) graph and 10 (20%) students who correctly answered the K ratio of the two objects driven by the same force and displacement. Based on the results of the validation of experts and junior high school science teachers for the components of content, presentation, and language, it can be concluded that the instruments developed were valid with very good categories. The method of this research is quantitative descriptive. A questionnaire was used to collect data. The questionnaire was applied in four classes in order to collect data and independent T-test was used to analyze them, the findings proved that generally both male and female use their metacognitive skills in learning. In addition, there are no significant differences between male and female students in metacognitive skills especially in the following domains: knowledge about cognition. The results are discussed in relation and compared with previous researches to show gender differences in chemistry learning and opens the door for future research and educational practice. The research conducted is qualitative research with a case study approach. The population was residents of Genito Village, Windusari Subdistrict, Magelang District who still carried out the tradition of betel chewing. The research sample was determined using cluster random sampling technique and selected 4 respondents. The instruments used in the study are interview guidelines and observation guidelines. The results showed that the betel chewers believed that betel chewing could strengthen the teeth. Unfortunately, betel chewers do not maintain oral hygiene so that the activities of the chewing can have a negative impact. The type of this research was Quasi Experiment by which the research design was in the form of Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Measurement of students' creative thinking ability used questionnaire data and observation sheets, in which data analysis techniques in questionnaires used nonparametric statistical tests namely Mann-Whitney test and observation sheet data used the score of observation sheet reference score. While the measurement of cognitive learning outcomes of students used pre-test and post-test questions in which data analysis techniques used nonparametric statistical tests namely Mann-Whitney test. Statistical test resulted on the creative thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes of students obtained the significance level (2-tailed) of 0.049 and 0.044 (both are <0.05). The research was conducted in State Senior High School 5 Yogyakarta, on 10th grade of mathematics and natural sciences, in the academic year of 2017/2018. The type of research was quasi-experiment with the research design of Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique was a simple random sampling. The data collection instruments included pre-test until post-test, critical thinking skill test, observation sheet, and student response sheet. The research also carried out an analysis of the stages of students' critical thinking skill, those are clarification, assessment, inference, and strategy. Based on statistical tests, the results showed that the use of L-Bond learning media had an effect on students' critical thinking skills. However, it did not affect students’ learning outcomes.
