The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of HOTS assessment instruments on ecosystem material. The sample of development included 4 validating experts, 40 students in limited test, 140 students in field test using Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) assessment. Data analysis was carried out using Quest program. This research is designed with pre experiment method with one shot case study design, that is sample consist of one experimental class that get a treatment, that is implements STEM Project Based Learning in science lecture at grade of teacher candidate of SD PGSD FIP UPGRIS Semarang. Based on the results of N-Gain analysis, the data obtained obtained the improvement of the scientific work skills of prospective teachers of SD Prodi PGSD FIP UPGRIS by 0.8 in the classical or in the high category of improvement. Improvement of scientific work skills per indicator from the highest to the lowest ie communication and interpretation skill, planning the experiments skill that each get the value of N-Gain 0.9 ie in the high category, the classification gets value of N-Gain 0.8 ie in the high category, the observation skill get the value of N-Gain 0.7 is on the high category, and ask questions skill get the value 0.5 that is in the category of being. The habit of using palm oil for cooking repeatedly has an economic value for the seller, but has a bad potential for the health of consumers. One of the causes is the increase of the oil peroxide number due to heating process. Peroxide in the long term in the body can cause destruction of vitamin E which is useful to ward off free radicals. This study aims to determine the maximum repetition of palm oil used in the process of frying catfish. A number of bulk oils are used to fry fifteen catfish with frying repetitions five times in constant fire. Oil taken on each fryer is inserted in a bottle in a cold state. The peroxide number on each oil sample was determined by iodometric method using 0.01 Nodium Thiosulfate solution and starch indicator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aspek konten, substantif, dan sintaktikal pembelajaran usaha dan energi yang dilakukan di kelas X MIA 4 MAN 2 Garut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif metode penelitian analisis wacana. Hasil analisis terhadap data yang didapat di lapangan menghasikan aspek konten sebesar 64.29%, aspek substantif sebesar 28.57% dan aspek sintaktikal sebesar 7.14%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek konten mendominasi aspek-aspek lain.
