Ko","doi":"10.1109/TENCON.2001.949717","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/TENCON.2001.949717","url":null,"abstract":"The temperature measurement of very high temperature core melt is of importance in LAVA (lower-plenum Arrested Vessel Attack) experiment in which gap formation between core melt and the reactor lower head, and the effect of the gap on thermal behavior are to be measured. The existing temperature measurement techniques have some problems, which the thermocouple, one of the contact methods, is restricted to under 2000/spl deg/C, and the infrared thermometry, one of the non-contact methods, is unable to measure an internal temperature and very sensitive to the interference from reacted gases. So, in order to solve these problems, the delay time of ultrasonic wavelets due to high temperature is suggested. As a first stage, a molten material temperature was measured up to 2000/spl deg/C. Also, the optimization design of the UTS (ultrasonic temperature sensor) with persistence at the high temperature was suggested in this paper. By using the proposed generator together with an elliptic curve cryptographic (ECC) system, we can save hardware and software components. Since the proposed random number generator is based on the core operation of ECC, it can be designed and implemented efficiently using existing components. The period of the bit sequences is analyzed theoretically. Moreover, sequences produced by this generator have passed the FIPS 140-2 statistical tests of the cryptographic standards and validation programs at NIST. ATM Adaptation Layer Type 2 (AAL2) is recommended for use as the basic switching and multiplexing technology for third generation mobile access networks since it allows for efficient and low delay transport for these VBR streams. We give quantifiable quality of service (QoS) description of the requirements for real time signal transfer and explore the possibility of service differentiation within the AAL2 multiplexer for different classes of voice calls. It has been found that a 9% increase in trunking; bandwidth efficiency can be obtained when employing service differentiation and priority queuing techniques-over the more common first in first out (FIFO) single queue system.","PeriodicalId":358168,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of IEEE Region 10 International Conference on Electrical and Electronic Technology. Medical decision-making relies on imprecise information gathered in a variety of ways and interpreted in a largely intuitive fashion. This paper proposes a novel method that integrates neural network and expert system paradigms to produce an automated knowledge acquisition system. Possible usage of the simulator includes checking the behavior of CAI systems, to be adopted as a novice agent in CAI systems, and for a teacher to check contents for study by observing the response of the simulator. The learning simulator learns interactively. First, a teacher (or a CAI system) gives background knowledge as basic rules and examples. Next, a teacher asks the simulator some question. Using the background knowledge, rules generated by ILP and examples stored in the memory, the simulator answers the question. Then, the simulator stores the examples and updates rules for the next question, after the teacher tells the correct answer. We implement the simulator using a Prolog interpreter and ILP system FOIL. As a result, the CCCA scheme shows considerable Erlang capacity improvement with an increase of carriers of hybrid FDMA/CDMA. For a fixed number of carriers, the Erlang capacity of CCCA is almost the same as that of ICCA with small channel elements (CEs). We have designed a reusable soft IP of parallel structure Viterbi decoder. It can automatically generate synthesizable Verilog-HDL source codes of the Viterbi decoder and convolutional encoder, synthesis scripts and a simple testbench with user defined parameters. The Viterbi decoder core generated from the IP has state-parallel structure with path memory of register exchange type.
