To systematically evaluate various factors and their relative importance in shaping candidate preferences, this study employed the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) as a decision-making tool. The AHP approach facilitated the analysis of findings based on the sum of rankings assigned by evaluators to determine the relative significance of different factors. Additionally, a pairwise comparison questionnaire was utilized to assess the application of AI interview methodology within the research framework. This ensured a comprehensive understanding of its potential advantages and drawbacks. By comparing candidates' interview experiences across four main categories—performance anxiety, environmental compliance, self-trust, and comfort level—the study results reveal that AI-assisted interviews offer a more advantageous experience for candidates. This suggests that AI technology can play a significant role in enhancing the recruitment process. The research highlights ease of use and suitability for job interviews as critical factors influencing companies' adoption of AI interview technology. Furthermore, it sheds light on the aspects that organizations need to consider when evaluating and implementing AI-driven solutions in their recruitment strategies.
","PeriodicalId":35064,"journal":{"name":"Global Business and Organizational Excellence","volume":"43 5","pages":"56-66"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139439205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Employing an extensive literature review, the research initially investigates their broader impact on global supply chains and subsequently focuses on integrated logistics and global sourcing domains. The findings highlight the increasing importance of supply chain integration in contemporary business strategy. The study establishes that integrating logistics and global sourcing is pivotal for achieving performance improvements crucial for success in today's competitive landscape. It demonstrates that this integration yields various organizational benefits, including cost reduction, improved technology access, enhanced sourcing consistency, strengthened supplier relationships, and improved information sharing. Consequently, this paper addresses a significant gap in the global supply chain literature by synthesizing the concepts of integrated logistics and global sourcing, providing a comprehensive understanding of how they collectively enhance supply chain performance in a fiercely competitive market. Spanning from 1995 to 2022, this review adopts the PRISMA and TCCM frameworks to examine 36 studies, focusing on the role of emotional intelligence as a predictor, mediator, moderator, and criterion in career success. The evidences predominantly indicate that emotional intelligence is a critical antecedent for various career-related outcomes including objective and subjective career success. Further, emotional intelligence serves as a pivotal mediator in linking personality traits, career planning, and self-efficacy to career outcomes, as elucidated in few studies. Moreover, some studies reveal its moderating role between career commitment and both objective and subjective career success. Additionally, emotional intelligence emerges as an outcome influencing emotional exhaustion and balance. The review synthesizes findings from nine theoretical frameworks, establishing a robust link between emotional intelligence and career success. This review not only affirms emotional intelligence as a substantial contributor to career advancement but also opens avenues for future research and practical applications in organizational contexts.
","PeriodicalId":35064,"journal":{"name":"Global Business and Organizational Excellence","volume":"43 4","pages":"5-25"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139387837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, we broaden the scope of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by including constructs related to health consciousness (HC), concern with personal appearance (CPA), and environmental product value (EPV). Our research explores the complex relationship between purchase intention (PI) and the various stages of change (SOC) associated with the consumption of products in the green category. The investigation examines the unique factors that combine attitudes and intentions while simultaneously analyzing the socio-demographic influences on the progressive stages of behavioral change. By employing techniques such as structural equation modeling and variance analysis on an extensive dataset collected from 679 participants, our findings reveal a positive correlation between PI and the SOC. Notably, aspects of HC, CPA, and the EPV significantly influence attitudes toward green personal care products (GPCPs). The conclusions drawn from this study resonate with deep theoretical implications and simultaneously provide a substantial and practical framework for commercial enterprises.
","PeriodicalId":35064,"journal":{"name":"Global Business and Organizational Excellence","volume":"43 4","pages":"45-64"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138600591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Self-perceived employability (SPE) instills in students the confidence needed to pursue their desired career paths, showcase resilience, and effectively market themselves to employers in an ever-changing business environment. In this paper, we present a comprehensive and systematic review of the existing literature, synthesizing the insights from 88 relevant articles in Web of Science Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) through a structured framework that delineates the key antecedents, decisions, and outcomes related to SPE. This framework also encompasses underlying theories, contexts, and methodologies of study. While we highlight a plethora of research gaps, the most glaring is the inadequate conceptual development. Current theoretical approaches often lack a student-focused perspective, sidelining critical modern viewpoints that could deepen our understanding of SPE. We advocate for richer operational definitions and introduce a blueprint of dimensions poised to nurture the evolution of such metrics. Additionally, we propose sophisticated methods to elevate the empirical exploration of the construct, ensuring a rigorous foundation for upcoming research. We further discuss potential antecedents, outcomes, and contexts, offering them as focal points for future investigative pursuits. Ultimately, our research offers invaluable insights to higher education professionals, illuminating strategies to bolster employability confidence in students, ensuring they are fully prepared for the workforce.
","PeriodicalId":35064,"journal":{"name":"Global Business and Organizational Excellence","volume":"43 4","pages":"88-110"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.1002/joe.22245","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138600695","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was conducted in Indian organizations. Data collected from 112 team members (with experience in innovation projects) were analyzed using structural equation modeling and bootstrapping procedure. The findings reveal that team members' capability (knowledge management capacity, adaptive capacity) plays a significant role in team innovation when there is team decision-making. However, the study found no significant relationship between absorptive capacity and team innovation. However, this strategy fails to account for what happens to organizational followers when leaders are rotated to new positions. This research aimed to explore followers' experiences when exposed to rotating leadership. A sequential explanatory research mixed-methods design was used to identify the types of followers in the global organization and their perceptions of this leadership phenomenon. Phase 1 collected data from 302 members of a global organization and identified participants by follower type. Phase 2 included semi-structured interviews with 29 participants identified in Phase 1 and explored the followers' lived experiences when subjected to frequent changes in leadership. This study advances previous research that explores employee behavior and organizational change and presents new findings about follower perceptions of frequent leadership changes. First, this study found that followers exposed to fewer leaders were more likely to identify themselves as exemplary followers. Second, the perceptions and experiences of rotating leadership varied by follower type. Third, this study found varying perceptions among followers when compared by job function but found frustration the most common among all follower types and job functions. Finally, regardless of type or job function, all followers shared negative experiences and effects of the leadership rotation phenomenon. Based on these results, we discuss theoretical and practical implications for the global organization and offer recommendations for practice and continued exploration.
","PeriodicalId":35064,"journal":{"name":"Global Business and Organizational Excellence","volume":"43 3","pages":"72-88"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139267164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The paper critically analyzes the AIA from a business and computer ethics point of view—a perspective currently lacking in the academic (e.g., GBOE-related) literature. It evaluates, in particular, the AIA's strengths and weaknesses and proposes reform measures that could help to strengthen the AIA. Among the AIA's strengths are its legally binding character, extra-territoriality, ability to address data quality and discrimination risks, and institutional innovations such as the AI Board and publicly accessible logs and database for AI systems. Among its main weaknesses are its lack of effective enforcement, oversight, and control, absence of procedural rights and remedy mechanisms, inadequate worker protection, institutional ambiguities, insufficient funding and staffing, and inadequate consideration of sustainability issues. Reform suggestions include establishing independent conformity assessment procedures, strengthening democratic accountability and judicial oversight, introducing redress and complaint mechanisms, ensuring the participation and inclusion of workers, guaranteeing political independence of the AI Board, providing enhanced funding and staffing of market surveillance authorities, and mandating “green AI.”
","PeriodicalId":35064,"journal":{"name":"Global Business and Organizational Excellence","volume":"43 3","pages":"106-126"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134957471","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The problem is access to financial capital is a constraint for minority entrepreneurs and negatively impacts their ability to stay in business. Minority borrowers face more difficult borrowing conditions than Caucasian entrepreneurs. The results from this case study demonstrated the pecking order theory and the resource base theory, and that there is no relationship between the source of the funding and the success and failure of 11 minority-owned small business startups. Case study is an excellent research design for this study because it allows a researcher to investigate the lived experiences of individuals who have shared experiences of a particular event or condition. The results from this case study showed a majority of the research participants indicated that avoidance of debt is a primary motivating factor to use personal savings as a primary choice in funding their respective businesses. This article is designed to assist policymakers at both the state and federal government levels in better understanding how to provide accessible financing to these entrepreneurs.
