The lung infection, SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID-19, was caused by a brand-new coronavirus (coronavirus disease 2019). Since then, infections have increased exponentially, and the WHO labeled the outbreak a worldwide emergency at the beginning of March 2020. Infected and asymptomatic individuals who can spread the virus are the main sources of it. The transmission occurs mainly by airthrough the air through the droplets, however indirect transmission is also possible, such as through contact with infected surfaces. It becomes essential to identify viral carriers as soon as possible in order to stop the spread of the disease and reduce morbidity and mortality. Imaging examinations, which are among the specific tests used to make the definite diagnosis, are crucial in the patient’s management when COVID-19 is suspected. Numerous papers that use machine learning techniques discuss the use of X-ray chest radiographs as a component that aids in diagnosis and permits disease follow-up. These types of words are called out-of-vocabulary words (OOV). They are often the subject of representation, local slang, or typing mistakes. These types of content have grown exponentially as the Internet has popularized, making people interact more assiduously through texting. Given the importance of this subject, we present three OOV classification models based on deep learning using a corpus with words in Portuguese as a case study. These models are bidirectional simple recurrent neural networks (RNN), short-term long memory (LSTM), and gated recurrent units (GRU). The purpose is to enable the system to recognize the embedding of OOV and place them in a vector space. In addition, the meaning of the words was verified using cosine similarity. The results of LSTM are promising for identifying OOV and generating semantically similar words. As part of this process, we collect tweets on Twitter that mention aspects of celebrities and train and evaluate a token classification framework to judge whether or not tweets represent reviews on aspects of celebrities. Specifically, we develop a dataset by annotating the collected tweets whether or not aspect’s names of celebrities and adjectives/adjectival verbs have review relationships or not. We train and evaluate the token classification framework using BERT to determine whether the tweets represent reviews on aspects of celebrities. In the evaluation, we evaluate whether or not the TARGET and REVIEW labels annotated by the token classification framework using BERT are correct or not. Along with the dataset, supportive tweets are extracted according to their relevancy with answer span keyword which is used to gauge opinion changes of OTT series characters over a given time period. Most of these people are cared for by informal caregivers at home, i.e. people who are not paid for their work and who are usually family members without professional training. The lack of skills and knowledge necessary to carry out this work causes stress and leads to increased levels of overload, anxiety, and depression in informal caregivers. This paper presents work in progress on the design of an intelligent assistant (IA), named Alzaid Assistant, for informal caregivers of people with dementia (PwD). This IA aims to promote social support in informal caregivers of PwD by providing them with information and strengthening coping strategies for problem solving and emotional regulation to reduce levels of overload, anxiety, and depression. Particularly, the phases of requirements elicitation, design, implementation, and preliminary validations are presented. A high-fidelity prototype of the IA was evaluated by 20 participants using a questionnaire based on the technology acceptance model to assess the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Though we have presented our study for a large platform dedicated to discussions around financial topics, the proposed methods are generic and applicable to all platforms. Along with an extension of topic extraction method using Latent Dirichlet Allocation, we propose a few measures to assess user participation, influence and topic affinities specifically. Our study also maps user-generated content to components of behavioral finance. While these types of information are usually gathered through surveys, it is obvious that large scale data analysis from social media can reveal many potentially unknown or rare insights. However, in the presence of information flow from a subjective source with no digital footprint, such as a claim, or a promise, there is a gap in the application of the Blockchain framework in supply chain risk management perspective. The existing mechanisms such as Proof of Work (PoW), Proof of Authority (PoA) or Proof of Stake (PoS) do not verify and validate subjective information presented in Service level agreement (SLA). We address this open issue in this paper by proposing the Proof by Earnestness (PoE) consensus mechanism that aims to validate the authenticity and legitimacy of such information. Dissimilarity exists among individuals and medical institutions for treating patients with diverse medicines. Specific drugs might treat a patient positively while they might not turn out to be that effective on others. Hence, understanding each patient’s body and the side effects of the drugs on them is crucial for doctors. The work of the doctors can be eased if they can refer to the patient’s medical records. On the contrary, it is a tedious and meticulous job for the patients to maintain their own drug history. The proposed model Medibox will become a bridge for the doctors and the patient’s smooth communication. The users can easily upload their prescriptions that will be converted into a digital repository along with more features. These nodes are called Structural Hole Spanners (SHS). SHSs have many applications, including viral marketing, information dissemination, community detection, etc. Numerous solutions are proposed to discover SHSs; however, most of the solutions are only applicable to static networks. Since real-world networks are dynamic networks; consequently, in this study, we aim to discover SHSs in dynamic networks. Discovering SHSs is an NPhard problem, due to which, instead of discovering exact k SHSs, we adopt a greedy approach to discover top-k SHSs. Motivated from the success of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) on various graph mining problems, we design a Graph Neural Network-based model, GNN-SHS, to discover SHSs in dynamic networks, aiming to reduce the computational cost while achieving high accuracy.
