Proof of Earnestness- Subjective information’s Trustworthiness in Blockchains as a Service
Blockchain is being used in the supply chain from a local to a global scale with its ever-increasing maturity and ubiquity. However, in the presence of information flow from a subjective source with no digital footprint, such as a claim, or a promise, there is a gap in the application of the Blockchain framework in supply chain risk management perspective. The existing mechanisms such as Proof of Work (PoW), Proof of Authority (PoA) or Proof of Stake (PoS) do not verify and validate subjective information presented in Service level agreement (SLA). We address this open issue in this paper by proposing the Proof by Earnestness (PoE) consensus mechanism that aims to validate the authenticity and legitimacy of such information. Subjective Information Authenticity Earnestness Framework (SIAEF) seeks to be a decentralised application to enable the trustworthiness of subjective information to become accountable.
