When the burst entering the source node, finds the server free it reserves the server and gets transmitted immediately. In case that the server is blocked, the incoming burst waits in the buffer available in the source node of the selected pair and tries retransmission till it reaches the destination successfully. In this paper, we studied a method which combines buffering and retransmission to resolve contention and the effect of maintenance activity and buffer search of the server on the bursts being handled (processed) in the network.","PeriodicalId":344188,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Current Trends towards Converging Technologies (ICCTCT)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129444628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In most research reports so far, photons' count and intensity are the parameters for investigations. This paper describes the merits of using Hue and spectral analysis for replacement of photons' count as parameter. Encouraged by the report of experiments on intention/ meditation showing the blue-yellow ratio to increase during meditation and consciousness studies, this paper is devoted to experiments on Biofield images from Theosophical Society literature using Hue as the single parameter to represent the dominant color in the spectrum, and its wavelength. Considering Color, Shape, and Outline (CSO) as the main factors, two renowned Theosophists captured thought forms images in real situations which were published nearly hundred years ago. Comments of ‘Good, Bad, or a mix of both’ were attributed to each of the images with regard to the nature of persons. Motivated by the similarities in views between Theosophists and Biophysicists in respect of biofield and spectral characteristics of biophotons, the authors recently investigated the truth of the theosophists' comments, using lower and upper thresholds of Hue, obtained through trial and error. Results proved the comments to be true in more than 90% of the sample of images. Applying these thresholds in biofield images of eleven persons, captured in real situations, from another theosophical text, it is shown that the choice of thresholds are also valid for biofield images.","PeriodicalId":344188,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Current Trends towards Converging Technologies (ICCTCT)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128568627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a consequence, divergent solutions have been hunted to compensate this voltage sag to evade financial losses in commercial industries. Distribution Static Compensator (D-STATCOM) is now turning into more recognized in commercial industries to reduce the bad impacts of voltage sag in sensitive loads. The D-STATCOM is placed in shunt with a sensitive load and possesses the ability to respond speedily against the voltage sag experienced by sensitive equipment of end user. This paper explained shunt reactive injection. The suggested methodology is to establish analytical aspects and to demonstrate this by a case study of 39 bus IEEE RTS system. Voltage sag can be eradicated by continuous injection of very small Voltage or reactive power to the system. The scheme incorporates the method of instantaneous symmetrical components.","PeriodicalId":344188,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Current Trends towards Converging Technologies (ICCTCT)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130850301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The angle error and turning angles are the main factors that affect the accuracy performance of the interfacing system. It is important to notice that these control loop parameters error cannot be eliminated from the interaction system completely. Within these possibilities, the control system's performance and the robustness must be considered as important. The aim is to provide solutions and improve the general behavior of a control system, with a Single-Degree-of-Freedom (1DoF) Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller structure. Even after calibration, these errors still exist and will be fluctuated during the operating system running. This paper proposed a new method of finding the best position and orientation for turning to perform a specific working path based on the current accuracy capacity of the control loop system. By analyzing the system forward/inverse kinematics and the angle error sensitivity of different combination in the PID system, a new evaluation formulation is established for combined operation and performance trade-off autotuning methods for PID controllers. The accomplishment of the claimed robustness is checked. The influence of different position and orientation on the movement accuracy of the end effector has been verified by experiments and discussed thoroughly.","PeriodicalId":344188,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Current Trends towards Converging Technologies (ICCTCT)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122919008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mechanical stress is applied that can pull out the energy from piezoelectric material. The piezoelectric material can generate the milliwatt. Such that the output energy conversion level is very minimum. Here DC output voltage is needed. So the AC-DC boost converter and the DC-DC buck-boost converter can be used to get a perfect DC output. In that paper, bridge rectification is avoided and straightly converts the minimum ac input voltage into needed maximum dc output voltage level. The major purpose of this study is implementing a method that combines Random-Forest classification technique and K-Means clustering Algorithms. In misuse-detection, random-forest algorithm will build a patterns of intrusion over a training data. And in anomaly-detection, intrusions will be identified by the outlier-detection mechanism in the random-forest algorithm. This hybrid-detection system will combine the advantage of anomaly and mis-use detection and improves the performance of detection. This paper mainly focused on evaluating the performance of hybrid approaches namely Gaussian Mixture clustering with Random Forest Classifiers and K-Means clustering with Random Forest Classifiers in-order to detect intrusion. These algorithms were evaluated for the four categories of attacks based on accuracy, false-alarm-rate, and detection-rate. From our experiments conducted, K-Means clustering with Random Forest Classifiers outperformed over the Gaussian Mixture clustering with Random Forest Classifiers.","PeriodicalId":344188,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Current Trends towards Converging Technologies (ICCTCT)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125650345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
