The D-STATCOM is placed in shunt with a sensitive load and possesses the ability to respond speedily against the voltage sag experienced by sensitive equipment of end user. This paper explained shunt reactive injection. The suggested methodology is to establish analytical aspects and to demonstrate this by a case study of 39 bus IEEE RTS system. Voltage sag can be eradicated by continuous injection of very small Voltage or reactive power to the system.
