Two dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DGE) is a technique used to study protein expression in this field. In 2DGE process, large number of protein spots are separated on the basis of their molecular weight and isoelectric point. A complete automated system is required for the analysis of 2DGE images. 2DGE images have non-linear background and are noisy. Hence, Image Registration and efficient pre-processing are the major challenges involved in automated analysis of proteins. We have used the Non Sub-sampled Contourlet Transform for denoising of 2DGE images and then registration of 2DGE images is accomplished by Coherent Point Drift (CPD) point-set registration algorithm. It has been shown that NSCT based denoising improves registration and it outperforms some of the existing registration methods.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116236861","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore quality testing has become an essential part of treatment. Currently in India, monitoring of water quality is done by physically going to water bodies and collecting samples which are then sent to be tested in laboratories. This is time consuming and inefficient method. To automate this process, water quality monitoring sensors, arduino IDE and RF module are placed in water sources. The sensors gather data like pH, temperature and turbidity which is forwarded to arduino IDE for binary to digital conversion. This data is transferred by radio frequency transmitter module to the lab, thus eliminating the need of physically going to the water bodies, ensuring real time on demand data of contamination level and also acts aswarning system for hazardous levels of contaminants.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116751325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Much work is already been done in Nano technology and the Nano sensors have pervaded into various fields. If these Nano-sensors are equipped with internet then the applications can be monitored in real-time from anywhere. Few applications have been presented in this paper. In health care lot of work is already done, whereas areas like smart cities, accident avoidance and remediation are new. In order to provide zero delay toll collection system, so many modern toll collection systems are used like RF Tags based toll collection system, Barcode Scanner based toll collection system, and number plate recognition based toll collection system. As all the aforesaid systems are reliable, but still it's not defined as system without human interaction. The paper presents smart toll collection system using embedded Linux environment. The whole system is balanced and focused to design and develop an entirely automated license plate recognition system which will be an excellent low-cost alternative to all other systems. The entire system is design using embedded Linux development board such as Raspberry Pi. The board is most suitable for Implementing Image processing algorithm. In the suggested system one webcam is interfaced with Raspberry Pi Board which is used to capture the image of vehicle's license plate which will pass through the toll booth. These images of license plates are processed through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) engine such that image of license plate will be converted into equivalent ASCII characters. This extracted information will further send to the RTO server to identify the type of vehicle and owner of the vehicle. The retrieval information will once again send to the system through GSM module interfaced with raspberry pi. According to the type of the vehicle the nominal toll will be deducted from owner's account. After receiving the notification message on registered mobile number of the owner about the deducted amount from owner's registered account, the barrier will open and vehicle is allowed to leave the toll booth.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130628054","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The popularity and need of video surveillance at residential, Industrial, public and business locations have supported the widespread use of vision based fire detection system. The colour of fire is the basic technique for identification of fire in an image. However, the colour of fire varies from red, orange, yellow to white. Also, there are non-fire objects with fire-like colour. In order to improve the accuracy of fire detection system, colour detection is combined with various other techniques. Edge detection, motion detection, area covered by flames, existence of smoke, growth of fire and background segmentation are some techniques which are combined by various researchers and used to correctly classify the fire images and fire-like non fire images in a video. There are also various thresholds that are used to differentiate fire in any frame. These thresholds need to be adjusted based on the type of area and its brightness level. Also, the difference in the subsequent frames and area covered by the flames supports the existence of fire if it is greater than the threshold. This paper presents the comparative analysis of five recent vision based fire detection system. These fire detection systems are based on flame colour detection combined with other features such as motion and area of frame. The fire detection system based on LUV colour space and hybrid transforms is proposed.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121194335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aerodynamic coefficients are estimated using an aerodynamic prediction code, Missile DATCOM. The predicted dynamic derivatives will determine the design criteria, and also their effect on the design aspects (stability and accuracy) of the projectile. To satisfy the condition of stability for the trajectory of projectile, a model of 6 DOF equations has been used. The result parameters, such as static margin of the projectile, force and moment derivatives in all the three modes, spin rate, angle of attack, and time rate are shown. The accuracy of the rolling moment derivatives is uncertain due to the limitation of DATCOM, but it is the general method applicable at the initial design stage of any projectile and therefore falls in the realm of aerodynamic database. The results address the problems of static and dynamic stability by giving initial perturbations, effect of spin on thrust misalignment, and effect of variation in the geometric parameters during the power on and off cases. Therefore, there is a need for full aerodynamic characterization of the projectile, in which sufficient derivatives are computed for accurate results.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121672548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At high speeds of flight the residence time of the atmospheric air in the combustion chamber is very low it is of the order of milliseconds, within this short time the fuel injected in to air must efficiently mix and react to release energy in the combustion chamber. The Combustor length and Weight can be minimized and Thrust produced can be maximized by rapid and effective mixing of fuel and oxidizer. The present study focuses on using coaxial type fuel injectors and studies the characteristics of SCRAM Jet Engines. From the results obtained it is observed that the turbulence kinetic energy of the coaxial jets is improved by the four times at the point of fuel injection when compared with the circular jet injector. As Turbulent kinetic energy is one of the parameter indicating the mixing of the fuel and oxidized (air), it is concluded that by employing the coaxial strut fuel injectors the mixing of fuel and oxidized can be enhanced.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121958419","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
