They are eligibility, fairness, security, verifiability, coercion resistance and receipt-freeness. Presently, most electronic voting systems fulfill only some of the required properties. Among these properties, receipt-freeness and verifiability properties contradict each other. So, this paper aims to describe a voting protocol that satisfies both properties simultaneously without effecting security. And an electronic voting system is implemented and formally analyzed by using AVISPA tool.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122909261","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the important problems is how to use records with unknown values from training as well as testing data. Many approaches have been proposed to address the impact of unknown values at training on accuracy of prediction. However, very few techniques are there to address the problem in testing data. In our earlier work, we discussed and summarized these strategies in details. In Lazy Decision Tree, the problem of unknown attribute values in test instance is completely eliminated by delaying the construction of tree till the classification time and using only known attributes for classification. In this paper we present novel algorithm ‘Eager Decision Tree’ which constructs a single prediction model at the time of training which considers all possibilities of unknown attribute values from testing data. It naturally removes the problem of handing unknown values in testing data in Decision Tree induction like Lazy Decision Tree.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133303212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a new grid synchronization method for three-phase three-wire networks, namely dual second-order generalized integrator (SOGI) frequency-locked loop. The method is based on two adaptive filters, implemented by using a SOGI on the stationary αβ reference frame, and it is able to perform an excellent estimation of the instantaneous symmetrical components of the grid voltage under unbalanced and distorted grid conditions. This paper analyzes the performance of the proposed synchronization method including different design issues. Moreover, the behavior of the method for synchronizing with highly unbalanced grid is proven by means of simulation and experimental results, demonstrating its excellent performance.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134104982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper three strategies; a classical Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID), a Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) and a Model Predictive Control (MPC) are designed and implemented for the DC motor speed control. All these strategies are compared on the basis of output response, steady state error, controller efforts, and constraints handling for the reference tracking. Performed simulations shows that though the controller efforts are less in PID and LQR but MPC outperforms for reference tracking and constraints handling.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124792688","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cost and time over run of projects occur due to delay in communication. Despite of being one of the oldest industries, construction industry is still fragmented. Transferring and updating of information takes place repeatedly between different phases among different stake holders throughout the project lifecycle. Cloud Computing (CC) is a recent IT advancement which can be used as an effective tool to alleviate these issues. Cloud computing technology offers a good platform for sharing, accessing and storing of huge data involved in construction projects. Using CC, an individual can access and share information at any time and place via internet. The main objective of this research is to study and explore cloud computing technology as a tool to improve collaboration and communication in supply chain management. The traditional method of data storage and information transfer has its own limitations. Many construction projects are being delayed and there is a huge variation of planned and actual cost of construction. The factors which lead to these effects are very minor and if managed efficiently, we can achieve expected results using cloud computing. Many researchers have stated that deployment of cloud computing in construction process can improve communication and coordination, as well as mitigate delays and disputes. This paper tries identifying and solving various problems associated with in supply chain management of construction sector (e.g. Miscommunications, improper transfer of information etc. among various parties involved in supply chain process) using cloud computing technology.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125322435","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many works have been proposed and commented on various data structures and allocation policies for a real-time job on the cloud. Most of these technologies use a queue-based mapping of tasks to VMs. This work presents a novel, min-heap based VM allocation (MHVA) designed for real-time jobs. The proposed MHVA is compared with a queue based random allocation taking performance metrics makespan and energy consumption. Simulations are performed for different scenarios varying the number of tasks and VMs. The simulation results show that MHVA is significantly better than the random algorithm.","PeriodicalId":343232,"journal":{"name":"2017 2nd International Conference for Convergence in Technology (I2CT)","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125492809","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
