Variants of the Motif of Housing Estates in Contemporary Czech Prose1 The housing estates represent one of the newest forms of urban space which mass expansion over several decades has significantly altered the character of not only Czech cities. Our contribution focuses on the representation of the housing estates, its varieties and its forms in the latest Czech prose. On a selected sample of works the paper follows the character and identity of this space and it deals with assessing the presence of ideological influences in the memory of place. In some cases, also the contemporary literary image of the housing estate is compared to older literary works that originated during the period of normalization.","PeriodicalId":34160,"journal":{"name":"Bohemica Litteraria","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44264882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It analyses the mechanisms of dreaming to describe the role of the unconscious and its characteristic features. Based on the theory suggested by Anton Ehrenzweig, the study defines the role of both the conscious and the unconscious from the perspective of their cooperation. The concept of syncretistic vision, which was introduced by Jean Piaget and developed by Anton Ehrenzweig, is used to analyse the interrelationship between the conscious and the unconscious in the process of creation and imagination. The theoretical concepts support the analysis of selected methodical approaches used in the courses of creative writing.","PeriodicalId":34160,"journal":{"name":"Bohemica Litteraria","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49273846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately, his writings still today remain almost unknown in the Czech Republic. He contributed to the history of Czech journalism when he, along with his friends, established Mladá Fronta Journal that has been published regularly since its inception. He may be associated with this event more than with his literary and cultural contributions which were created in the 1940s in the former Czechoslovakia and in the following years in France and Portugal. In 1948, he left Czechoslovakia and travelled to post-war Paris and Porto and finally settled down in Lisbon, Portugal. This study attempts to assemble the important events in Listopad’s life until 1948 and review them together with particular pieces of his literary work and it’s critical","PeriodicalId":34160,"journal":{"name":"Bohemica Litteraria","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47853396","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through a comparative analysis of various historically anchored approaches, it shows the possibilities of using these methods in the educational process. The very term „creative writing“ appears to be inaccurate in this context, and some authors replace it with their own terms („textual intervention“, „transformative writing“, „literary experiment“). The aim of these methods is to understand literature. Writing becomes part of an interpretative dialogue.","PeriodicalId":34160,"journal":{"name":"Bohemica Litteraria","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42893702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the field of biblical studies, cognitive linguistics offers a valuable methodological tool for analysis, interpretation, and translation of metaphorical expressions. The legal language of the Hebrew canon is extremely specific and formalized. One can find numerous examples of general reflections regarding the motives of obeying and disobeying the law accompanied by reflections of topics that are today associated with legal theory and philosophy of law. These are especially frequent in the preambles to collections of laws in the Pentateuch, but one will also find them in the psalms, prophecies and wisdom literature.","PeriodicalId":34160,"journal":{"name":"Bohemica Litteraria","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44370847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
