The antennas can synchronously operate in multiple frequencies, covering the four required frequencies, 2.4GHz/3.5GHz/5.2GHz/5.8GHz, for WLAN/WiMAX application. The antenna surface currents are simulated by CST Microwave Studio®, a 3-dimension full-wave electromagnetic simulator, and the multiband operating mechanism has been explained from analysis of the simulated results. Then model of the proposed monopole antenna fed by coplanar waveguide has been obtained. Finally, prototype of the antenna has been manufactured and measured in anechoic chamber. The results well match the simulated, which verify the feasibility of design idea. A simulation model was established corresponding to the theoretical model, based on the analysis of simulation data, it matched well with the theoretical model. It is thus concluded that the proposed model is effective in analyzing the propagation characteristics, optimizing the modulation and coding schemes and simulating the performance of HAP (high altitude platform) communication systems. Some research aimed at providing broadband services for the passengers on board of a train via a HAP system has been resolved, such as CAPANINA project in Europe. However, there is no correlative research about HAP based the environment of high-speed train in China. The suboptimal power allocation is based on the path loss fading information, and it needs less feedback information than other power allocation schemes which are based on channel mean or covariance matrix. The suboptimal power allocation scheme is applicable for arbitrary antenna number at both the transmitter and receiver sides. The proposed power allocation solution has a closed-form expression and has a water-filling interpretation. A novel multiple PUs localization algorithm was proposed, which seeks non-cooperative PUs' position by executing k-mean clustering and iterative operations. Many properties of the FT including the generalized sampling theorem have been extended to the FRFT. However, the existing extensions of the classical generalized sampling theorem for the FRFT are derived from the lowpass signal viewpoint, and the implementation of those extensions is inefficient for the effect of spectral leakage. In this paper, we propose a new generalized sampling theorem associated with the FRFT from the fractional bandpass signal viewpoint. In this work, a Spectral-efficient Layered Broadcast/Multicast (SLBM) mechanism for 4G Wireless networks is proposed to solve this problem in a Rayleigh fading channel. With consideration of both the efficiency and reliability, a spectral efficiency evaluation function is formulated, and to facilitate the decision process of optimal modulation parameters, a modulation solution set for SLBM with multiple layers is defined. Based on the modulation solution set, a layered modulation solution selection algorithm is illustrated to determine the optimal modulation parameters effectively. Video-on-Demand (VoD), as one of bandwidth-exhausted services, it is expected to be efficiently supported over FiWi access networks. However, considering that the ever-increasing concern on energy-saving FiWi access networks and the self-configured network connectivity of wireless subnetwork, it is challenged to guarantee a better level of VoD service over FiWi access networks. In this study, we will focus on addressing how to minimize worst-case playback delay (WPD) which can avoid unpleasant experience of wireless customers. Specifically, we first design a PON architecture supporting direct inter-ONU broadcasting. Then, under the constraint of the limited storage capacity of ONUs, an ONU patching scheme is proposed to achieve minimum WPD over FiWi access networks with the designed PON subnetwork. DSAJ applies the opportunistic spectrum access concept of cognitive radio to the anti-jamming communications. Making use of the properties that there are many “spectrum holes” within HF band where no jamming exists or the power of jamming is below a particular threshold, and durations of the spectrum holes in each day are correlated, DSAJ is able to perform real-time transmit frequency selection and system parameter adjustment by detecting spectrum holes in its system bandwidth and tracking the variations of jamming in the spectrum holes. Composite fading channels are assumed, which include path loss, lognormal shadowing and multi-path Rayleigh fading. Analytical approximation of the capacity's cumulative distribution function (CDF) is derived by means of a moment generation function (MGF) based approach. The influence of transmit/receive antenna number on the capacity distribution and the impact of receiver location on the 10% outage capacity are investigated. Simulation results agree with the analytical approximations well.
