Biodiversity in question includes the diversity of genes, species, and ecosystems. The folk tales studied were stories that had been transcribed into a book entitled East Borneo Folklore (1981) published by Balai Pustaka. There are 20 titles of stories in it with the background of the life of the people of East Kalimantan and 3 stories were selected as research samples. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data was obtained by using reading and note-taking techniques. The approach chosen in this research is the study of children's literature and eco-sastra. The purpose of this study is to describe the diversity of genes, species and ecosystems typical of East Borneo in folklore so that they can be used as learning media for children to recognize, love, and protect the natural environment of East Borneo. The results of the study found the diversity of flora and fauna typical of East Borneo. There are not many forms of exploration of genetic diversity in the research sample. Data on species diversity was found in the research sample, namely various types of fish endemic to East Borneo: biawan fish, jelawat fish, haruan, porpoise fish. It also explained the myth of the formation of the dolphin fish and the Borneo rhinoceros. The river ecosystem dominates daily life which is clearly visible in all of the existing folklore. Through cheerful people, children will recognize the culture of their homeland through the following stages: (1) introduction, (2) love, (3) habituation, and (4) preserving.","PeriodicalId":33926,"journal":{"name":"Diglosia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47537837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through critical discourse, it can be seen how the language of the media conveys information to readers through the emphasis on actors positioned in the text. This qualitative descriptive research emphasizes documentary analysis by reviewing published written sources, namely the news entitled “Kisah Pilu Korban Pemerkosaan Dipaksa Menikah dengan Pelaku”. Based on the discourse strategy used by the author, it can be seen that this “heartbreaking story of a rape victim” becomes the object of the story. It is evidenced by the use of markers such as a child, sexual violence, forced marriage, rape, exacerbating trauma, and the victim getting worse. The news is presented based on events that emerged because of the description of other actors as the storyteller's subject, not based on the victim's information about what he experienced. The news text reveals a picture of the position of the subject and the object of the story so that it can determine the way the text is presented to the reader. The news text contains a gender bias because the incident is not told from the perspective of women as victims.","PeriodicalId":33926,"journal":{"name":"Diglosia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46743436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research design is quantitative with an experimental method between two classes, experimental and control class. The subjects of this study were 20 students. As a result, the ability of students who took advantage of the game application increased significantly than students who did not use the application. It can be proven by the value of the pretest and posttest results. During the pretest, the experimental class had a score of 64.70, and the control class had a score of 65.50. Meanwhile, after practicing for 6 times with a duration of 30-50 minutes, the posttest score for the experimental class was 89.60, and the control class was 79.40. Another accurate proof as the answer to the research results of a 2-way (t-tailed) significance value between the two classes shows the number 0.000 on the posttest, so there is a very significant difference. The conclusion again states that the Speedy Grammar game application can be used as a solution to problems when learning English grammar.","PeriodicalId":33926,"journal":{"name":"Diglosia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45201621","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The design of this study was qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The data were obtained from the recording technique/the inventory of Indonesian slang utterances. The list of slang utterances was comprised of familiar utterances and those used by Indonesian speakers during face-to-face or virtual interaction. Based on the analysis, Indonesian slang words were formed by morphological process and phonological structure change. The data sources are social media and police reports which are collected with documentation, listening, and followed by note-taking techniques. Data analysis used the extralingual equivalent method. The results show that each social media has language use characteristics that are influenced by user segments and service features. Jungle movie presents the mindset and behavior of men through four male characters (Yossi, Marcus, Kevin, and Karl) towards the wild (wilderness) as a masculinity framework. Using a qualitative method with an ecocriticism approach, especially related to ecological masculinity by Hultman and Pulé, this study shows how the construction of human-nature relationships through masculinity framework presents ecological masculinity as a form of hegemonic masculinity negotiation. The analysis focuses on two aspects of film studies: narrative and cinematographic by Bogss and Petrie. The results of this study indicate that in the depiction of nature through the Amazon Forest, nature is positioned as something dangerous, wild, scary, and capable of killing humans. Therefore, nature is represented as an entity that dominates humans. However, men's mindset and behavior towards nature present the illusion of a human versus nature dichotomy; in this case, the Jungle movie tries to present a critique of anthropocentrism. In addition, the mindset and behavior of male characters toward nature represent male masculinity models, especially ecological masculinity, as an alternative to hegemonic masculinity.","PeriodicalId":33926,"journal":{"name":"Diglosia","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48590773","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
