Katouh is a Syrian-Canadian novelist who is concerned about empowering female victims of their war trauma The demonstration of the dynamic circumstances that suppress and challenge the protagonist, Salama, to navigate her gendered experiences during the Syrian civil war, makes the current study as intersectional study. Intersectionality is a common term that connects the involvement of race, gender, class, and sexuality, which complicates an individual’s experiences in certain situations. Using Hooks’ intersectional feminism and Herman’s feminist trauma theory, the analysis reveals how Salama’s suffering and resilience during the war may create a feminist consciousness that challenges both patriarchal oppression and Western misconceptions about Middle Eastern women. Using a qualitative textual analysis, this study selects and examines primary data from the novel to unfold the intersectionality. Key narrative moments were primarily gathered to uncover how Salama’s trauma differs from that of her male counterparts due to the gendered burdens she bears. The study ultimately shows that her experiences of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and hallucinations are mainly intertwined with societal expectations and moral responsibilities. This situates her in a dual role, as a caregiver and a freedom fighter, intensifying her psychological and social struggles. Despite this burden, Salama’s resistance to oppression and her active role in advocating for freedom, especially for women, may be considered as subversion against the dominant Western narratives that often regard Arab women as passive or voiceless. Her journey particularly exemplifies the transformative power of trauma, portraying that survival and resistance against the oppressive war are essentially feminist acts. Katouh's novel thus offers a fresh perspective on feminist resistance within the context of war, showing how trauma can catalyze empowerment and social change while also revealing that Salama’s exceptional survival cannot represent the many women whose suffering remains unheard and demands a more inclusive feminist response. This boycott caused a decrease in revenue for several Israeli companies in Muslim countries, including Arab countries. Media as one of the institutions that participate in shaping public image and opinion on various matters certainly has a hand in the spread of boycott propaganda. Moreover, media such as Al Jazeera which has a wide reach and high credibility in Arab countries, play a significant role in the spread of boycott propaganda. One of the features used by the media, which can construct a person's concepts and arguments fundamentally, as well as persuade, is metaphor. Moreover, one of the metaphors that is widely used in various fields, especially politics, to attract public attention and create influence is the war metaphor. This study aims to describe the conceptual metaphor of war and to reveal the ideology behind the use of war metaphors in the Israel boycott discourse on the Al Jazeera Arabic online newspaper. This study reveals that the war metaphor is not merely linguistic, but also expresses Al Jazeera’s ideological stance, shaping public perception of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, especially regarding the boycott. The news data source was obtained from the Al Jazeera Arabic online newspaper since the Tūfānu ‘l-ʔAqṣā or 'Al-Aqsa Flood' operation from 7 October 2023 to 31 May 2024. This qualitative descriptive study analyzes metaphors through three stages of Critical Metaphor Analysis: metaphor identification using MIP, interpretation using conceptual metaphor theory, and explanation. A total of 74 metaphorical expressions were identified from 12 war-related lexemes. All war metaphors frame the boycott positively by highlighting its urgency, power, effectiveness, and impact, especially within the context of Palestinian resistance. These findings indicate that Al Jazeera aligns with the ideology of resistance and promotes it through metaphorical framing. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to understanding how ideological war metaphors influence public perception and mobilize political action. Using qualitative methods, data were collected from student responses via questionnaires. The findings reveal that Canva positively influences the four dimensions of engagement: behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and agentic. Behavioral engagement is supported through its intuitive tools that promote focus and persistence. Emotional engagement is enhanced by evoking positive emotions and reducing stress. Cognitive engagement is fostered by encouraging critical thinking and creativity, while agentic engagement empowers students to take ownership of their learning processes. Despite challenges such as limited free features, students effectively utilized Canva’s resources to overcome these barriers. The study concludes that Canva offers a transformative approach to education, promoting 21st-century skills and bridging traditional learning with digital literacy. The film is based on Lewis Carroll's classic novel, which tells the story of Alice's adventures in Wonderland. The adaptation process brought several changes in the form of the latest story. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to investigate and examine the reimagination markers and reimagination functions from the animated film Alice in Wonderland (1951) to the live-action version (2010). This study utilizes the reimagination theory of Purnomo et al., which categorizes markers into mutations and presences in textual, visual, and operative elements. These markers allow the work to fulfill various functions, including Stylistic, Ludic, Metathetic, Media, Branding, and Cultural Functions. This study found significant variations between the 1951 animated and 2010 live-action versions of Alice in Wonderland. The most common reimagination markers were in the visual elements. Meanwhile, the stylistic function is most frequently found in the function section. This study aims to (1) reveal the strategy of impoliteness of sarcasm displayed and (2) reveal the markers of impoliteness that show sarcasm of netizens in the comments column on Ganjar Pranowo's Instagram account. Data were obtained from 7 posts on Ganjar Pranowo's Instagram account from March 28 to April 4, 2023. This research is descriptive qualitative research using the methods of listening, noting, and recording with a pragmatic approach. The results showed that netizens used irony in writing sarcasm disrespect strategy comments. In addition, four markers of sarcasm impoliteness strategy are in the comment column on Ganjar Pranowo's Instagram. These markers include the use of profanity-related diction by 35%, the use of ALL CAPS by 25%, excessive use of exclamation marks by 20%, and inappropriate name-calling used by 20%. There were no markers found related to taboo language, such as animal names or body parts. Some data also showed the use of figurative language to indicate sarcasm. Traders in the market are identical to using certain language codes to sell their goods to attract buyers. Using speech codes during buying and selling transactions shows the trader's self-identity in the market environment. Market traders use various speech codes to talk to buyers. This paper focuses on the speech codes the traders use to convince customers. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The research data source comes from the speech of market traders, especially herbal medicine traders in the Magetan Market. The data were collected with the support of recording, note-taking, and interview techniques. The data analysis starts by grouping the speech data based on the speech code used and then analyzing the speech code based on the problem formulation. The results of this study show that traders in the market interacting with buyers use speech codes of Javanese 'ngoko' and 'krama' and Indonesian. Based on that problem, this study aims to describe (a) the power of male patriarchal necrophilia over women; and (b) the attitude of women as an effort to free themselves from the necrophiliac power of men. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive content analysis techniques. The research findings show two things. First, the poems \"Nikah Sungai\" dan \"Nikah Pisau\" reflect men's efforts to destroy women's natural reproductive abilities using the power of necrophilia through manipulating various natural resources such as plants, rocks, sand, animal carcasses, soil, and poison as weapons. This study is a qualitative study in which researchers serve as research tools. The research data collocates with the word 'lu' processed using the Sketch Engine Tool. The hate speech corpus was compiled from Rachel Vennya's Instagram comments from 2020 to 2022. The Instagram Comments Scraper tool was used to capture these comments. The total number of utterances is 4,865, with 22,986 words. The word 'lu' appears in 88 different speech patterns in Instagram comments. The collocation analysis also reveals differences in the proclivity to utilize terms in R1 and L1. Apart from 'dakjal' vs 'setan' and 'kya' vs 'kek,' there was also a proclivity to use other words with similar meanings. One example is the colloquial R1 for the word 'anjing' in the (n+lu) pattern.
