While translating, it is of paramount importance to take into account the extent the culture is involved into the text, and the text is involved into the culture. Language, being a semiotic system, is projecting onto sociocultural and semiotic aspects of translation. The translator should be aware of the culture, customs, traditions, social background expressed both in the source language and the target language as he is presenting to the foreign language audience not only a literary work but also the country of its origin, constructing its image, and the image of its culture In this respect it is important to analyze the role of individuality in translation process. It has been offered to disclose the major stages of a translator’s individuality development process in the creative activity of translating fiction. An American scholar and translator Dr. Michael M. Naydan and f Canadian scholar, translator, and editor Roma Franko have been chosen as a model of a translator in a contemporary translation industry. The choice has been stipulated by a number of reasons: the wide-world recognition of their achievements and their constant striving to popularize the Ukrainian culture in the Anglophone world. The major stages of Michael M. Naydan’s personality as a scholar and as a translator as well as Roma Franko have been considered in the article. Major emphasis is laid on their Ukrainian-English translations which includes prose and poetical works. An attempt has been made to reveal the basic translation tools which they employ to achieve an adequate translation. The article contains the information about the creative activities of Michael Naydan and Roma Franko, offers further perspectives of their study.

The methodology of training international relations specialists to the English dialogue communication has been characterized. The interaction of competitive, cognitive-communicative, personal and professional-oriented approaches to learning has been analyzed. The basic principles (general-didactic and special) that ensure the effectiveness of the educational process have been defined. All defined principles, focused on the development of professional speech of students, are closely interconnected, each of them complements another, therefore they are also interdependent. The traditional methods of teaching English dialogue communication, such as verbal-informative, visual-heuristic and practical-research, and active learning methods (business games, project methods, case-method, analysis of specific situations) have been singled out. Technique as an integral part of the method has been described. Techniques of mental activity (didactic: comparison, generalization, assessment of activities) and techniques of teaching (methodical: the implementation of didactic tasks according to the model, making up a dialogue at a given beginning, working out of a presentation)have been single out. It has been proved that such forms of educational activities as conferences, presentations, excursions, and conducting classes of real professional activity were effective. Non-traditional forms of training contributed to immersing students into professional activities, help them to enhance their professional interest and allow them to demonstrate the ability to interact. The article states that the basis of the preparation of international relations specialists for the English dialogue communication is the expedient choice of forms and principles of training, the development of an excellent method of conducting classes, the use of balanced, thought-out and effective methods and means of teaching.

Pohrebinska and "A Dream in a Olivier's Salad or the Tail Slave." By N. Vorozhbyt. The author focuses on rethinking of the social and political myths of that era, their devastating impact on the process of self-identification, even in today's information space. \u0000 \u0000 Pohrebinska in the play “Autumn flowers” unfolds the story of a woman, who is immersed in the pathological nostalgia for the Soviet times. The main character – Vilena – is fixated on the unraveling of her own mother’s death and the man, who caused it – Victor Mykolajovych – and who is her biological father and unchanging bureaucrat. \u0000 \u0000In the plot of the play “A Dream in a Olivier's Salad or the Tail Slave” N. Vorozhbyt captures the colonial consciousness of an entire generation that grew up on the collapse of the totalitarian epochs through the psychological problems of the main character – Mariia (the inability to get rid of the Soviet past, which became in fact her personality). \u0000Both heroines view the Soviet past as their own individuality. The injection of collective historical memory into personal one has been traced, because Soviet slogans, mottos and behavioral patterns have become the organic part of being for those women. They made up their own personality from the typical Soviet ideological puzzles and way of life. In fact, individual memory has been replaced by collective memory. \u0000The article proved that one of the key identities of Soviet myths was "happy childhood". The artistic images of Mariyka and Vilena represent the scenarios of children's behavior, prescribed in accordance with Soviet norms. At the same time, their memories illustrate the psychological traumas of childhood caused by the ideological machine and the totalitarian system. Both women are amazed by the image of the "young Leninist", and the prerogative of a "happy childhood", no matter what. \u0000The Soviet myths are firmly anchored in the collective consciousness of the citizens of the former communist empire. Even today, they continue to produce quasi-memories about "happy childhood", "right authority" and "just order".

The comparison of the work of the Ukrainian playwright with the dramatic works of the world level made it possible to distinguish the laws that show that Ihor Kostetskyi's drama is a multi-faceted and ambiguous phenomenon in the literary process of the second half of the twentieth century. The study of the peculiarities of the literary heritage of I. Kostetskyi involves a profound analysis of the influence of the emigration factor on creative process of the writer. His close interweaving of universal, national, and moral issues was caused by life in emigration and the loss of Ukraine. The combination of Ukrainian mentality with the understanding of the philosophical concepts of the West allowed the playwright-emigrant to consider social and moral problems more panoramic. Using techniques such as phantasmagority of individual scenes, deconstructivistic distrust to language, the destruction of syntactics and paradigmatics and logical structural connections in some places allows us to characterize the poetics of I. Koste-tskyi’s style as an absurdity experiment based on the drama of the Baroque era.In the result of comparison of the heritage of Eugen Ionesco and Ihor Kostetskyi the author found that both dramatists rejected the canons of classical drama with its traditional plot, experimented with the form of works, the language of characters. The artistic material of their dramatic works unfolds through absurd situations that contrast with the world of reality. One of the problems raised by the authors is the problem of human communicability, which leads to leveling of the personality. Their verbal experiments are one of the factors in the creation of new generations of heroes. The dramatists did not abandon one of the main problems of existentialism - time as characteristics of human being.

A LINGUISTIC PICTURE OF THE WORLD OF HUTSULS THROUGH THE PRISM OF BELLETRISTIC LANGUAGE. WUIKO (UNCLE) 通过文学语言的棱镜描绘胡索人世界的语言图景。WUIKO(叔叔)

The author of the article in the methodology of the study of the world language picture proceeds from the position that the modeling of the world's linguistic picture by lexical means is carried out primarily in the lexical-semantic structure of words. Information about the world is structured by lexical meanings by discretization of knowledge, their objectification and interpretation. When it comes to the linguistic picture of the world of a particular ethnographic group, it is necessary to take into account that its linguistic picture of the world is formed and manifested in the linguistic units, the overwhelming part of which coincides with the normative standard of the literary language, while the other part is characterized by differences that are characteristic only of the corresponding dialect or else the adjacent dialects that do not have a national distribution range. Dialect words perform special functions of nominating such realities of extra-ordinary reality, which in the language to which this dialect belongs does not have one-word nominative means. In the Ukrainian belletristic language, lexical dialectism wuiko (uncle) functions in the Hutsul dialect as a multi-valued construction, in which the segment of the linguistic picture of the world is embodied, defined by the different lexical meanings of the word, in particular: 1) “the mother or father's brother”; 2) “aunt’s husband”; 3) “adult or senior man in general”; 4) “bear”; 5) fig. “awkward, clumsy man”. Dialecticism wuiko (uncle) also reveals a certain derivational activity, which also indicates its significance in the formation of the linguistic picture of the world of Hutsuls. Ukrainian belletristic texts model Hutsul's linguistic picture of the world in the segment of dialecticism wuiko (uncle) more abundantly than the Hutsul dialect dictionaries, which do not capture the lexical-semantic variants of ‘aunt's husband’ and ‘awkward, clumsy man’.

Each phenomenon in science life has fundamental basis and modern humanitary communication is not an exception, because it has own invariable ontological basis of origin, existence and development. Professional communication in the humanities is based on immanent constituents that bear multifaceted ontological reflection to be investigated with a view to objectivise truth. Modern professional communication in the Humanities has a number of immanent constituents among which the leading place is taken by the linguistic process of philosophy of history and pragmatics as some of the sources the development of science. Modern humanitary communication is based on ontological peculiarities, regularities of its origin, existence and development. If one does not pay enough attention to the ontological aspects in research of the communicative process together with the anthropocentrism and humanism, it results in the one-sided enlightenment of relevant problems, connected with the humanitarian communication of the present time. The philosophical and linguo-psychological lexical units perform in German texts and discourses sometimes an expressive function and various connotations. They serve as vehicle of expressing pragmatic traits of corresponding notions owing to their being euphonious and exotic in our modern life. Particular attention is paid to the way of the linguistic, pragmatic and philosophical mental intelligence strategies that characterise the speaker/writer as an authoritative linguistic personality. Emphasized here are discursive and interpretive strategies tactics used to construct a cooperative scholarly communication, which sometimes depend on epochal intelligence, political, cultural, immanent philosophical peculiarities and development of present nation and civilization.

The educational sphere is not an exception. Successful teaching in the modern classroom setting requires more than a proficiency in the field and/or skills to apply effective pedagogical techniques. A successful 21st century teacher needs to be socio-culturally conscious, willing and capable to relate to their students and build trusting relationships, especially in culturally, socially, demographically diverse classrooms. \u0000This article profiles the culturally responsive teaching model through the lens of an immigrant’s experience as an educator in the USA. The research focus covers four motivational conditions (establishing inclusion; developing positive attitude; enhancing meaning; engendering competence) that can spark inquiry in learning. Analyzing Dr. R. Wlodkowski’s “Motivational Framework” used as a teaching strategy in the classroom, the author of the article highlights its impact on students’ intrinsic motivation. A favorable learning environment that boosts motivation should contain following elements: students feel connected and respected, relate to their personal experience, voice, choice, cultural values, as well as understand and correlate their learning with their goals. \u0000In addition, an observation is made that a personal story of immigration enhanced senses of students’ equity and solidarity based on cultural diversity. Barka "The Yellow Prince" that showed the truth about the terrible crime of the Stalinist totalitarian regime of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933 to the whole world was published in 1962 in New York. Immediately after its publication, it was translated into English. Thirteen years later (1981), its French translation appeared in France; in 2016, the Italian translation followed. In 2009 M. Ostheim-Dzerovych made the German translation of the novel “The Yellow Prince” by Vasyl Barka as the novel entitled "Der gelbe Fürst". The translator was born in Lviv, studied at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Vienna, since 1958 she has been working as a translator. \u0000The individual-authorial innovations operating in the novel "The Yellow Prince" demonstrate the literary skill of the writer and the peculiarities of his individual style. The reproduction of an individual style of the author is the most difficult task in the translation of an artistic text. \u0000By way of forming calques it was possible for the interpreter to reproduce the words adequately and therefore correspond to the individual style of V. Barka as well as to find certain equivalents. In some cases, the translator uses the lexem Getreide, and in the others she uses the word Brot. \u0000Vasyl Barka accurately and clearly conveys the realities of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933. His individual names of the months deserve special attention. Using calques while copying the structure of the output lexical unit, the translator reproduces the newly created words.
