This paper presents a real-time and non-contact heart rate (HR) assessment based on imaging photoplethysmography (iPPG) – Power Spectral Density (PSD) to quantify dynamic changes of blood volume at the forehead due to cardiac activity. The HR assessment was implemented on ten healthy subjects using a built-in camera laptop with an executable algorithm (Python-OpenCV) in PyCharm environment. A commercial pulse amped sensor was attached to the subject’s right index finger to extract contact photoplethysmography (cPPG) signal simultaneously. The cPPG signal was processed using the post-processing techniques in the MATLAB environment. The statistical analysis was demonstrated on HRcPPG and HRiPPG to determine the correlation between the measurement. The results show correlation between the measurement with correlation coefficient, r = 0.67, and the linear regression, r2 = 0.49, p-value = 0.024. The 95% of the Limit of Agreement (LOA) from the Bland-Altman plot was 12.77 to -22.37 (BPM). Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has leveraged on the ICT agility to manage the pandemic. A mobile compatible web application, Employee Self Health Declaration (ESHD) was developed in-house by the ICT Division through Agile Project Management Process to manage and ensure staff safety during the pandemic. The Agile Project Management Process includes continuous development process iteration with methodology used in the study Agile Project Management Process highlights on the incremental, continuous iteration of development and testing. It chucks the product into pieces and amalgamate them for the final testing. ESHD was developed using Agile process through scrum methods and the software used in the development was .NET Core 2.0.The study leads an operational review of the ESHD at the organizational level. The critical challenge in IoT systems is to achieve service levels and secure the uninterrupted flow of business-critical data; emphasis is on the speed of making new business data available as soon as possible.The critical challenge in IoT solutions is that they are subject to inherent uncertainties in their operational contexts. Moreover, IoT resources are also constrained with compute power, sensing, communication, battery levels. So operational contexts and IoT resource constraints cause a significant challenge to make this solution available 24*7. A key question is can we address all these operational context challenges during development time? Not really; these uncertainties are difficult to predict during IoT blueprinting, which would sometimes result in Over/ Under provisioning of the resources. The resource demands of IoT applications fluctuate during run-time purely due to their event-driven nature.This paper details an approach to handle those challenges. It starts with how IoT service management differs from regular IT Management. It then details what challenges IoT deployment faces and its impact on the sustainability of the solution. Finally, a self-adaptive approach is explored, i.e., the ability of a system to adjust its behavior in response to the perception of the environment and the system itself. A wearable was used during the experiment to acquire the subject's HR and EDG signals simultaneously while watching 360O videos in VR. The acquired signals are then classified with SVM in a multi-class model for valence and arousal. Throughout the years, these optimization problems moved from classical problems to more challenging complex problems and these transformations were direct results of industrials demands. Consequently, this has given rise to one of the new classes of challenging optimization problems known as expensive optimization. A problem is considered expensive when it involves very high computational costs due to the complex evaluations of high-dimensional and time-consuming objective functions. The drawback of the conventional smoke detector systems are commonly expensive and cover a short distance. Thus, the proposed design aims to develop a cost-effective system, compact design, expandable, simple installation, and broader coverage area. In the proposed system, smoke detectors are connected to a centralized system using ESP8266-01 and NodeMcu WiFi modules. The low-powered smoke detector nodes sense smoke and activate their wireless module by sending high signals to the central system and logged into the cloud database using the Thingspeak website. The nodes are battery-operated and wirelessly connected. The system used a low power mode to minimize the power consumption at the nodes. The system had successfully worked in low power mode and communicate with the central unit. The proposed module is able to test Open and Short, DC parametric and functional parameters. Hence, the objectives of this project are i) to design the IC testing module using the microcontroller system for hardware and the MATLAB for Graphical User Interface (GUI); ii) to integrate the software and hardware based on the design specification; iii) to test and analyze the proposed module based on the open and short, DC parametric and functional testing parameters. The device targeted in this design is 74 series ICs which the test conducted using the Design Under Test (DUT) board. Moreover, the project involved system design, test specification, hardware and software development, system integration, and prototype testing. The result shows that the proposed IC tester produced the exact result for the open and short, DC parametric and functional test where the input and output test parameters are drives from MATLAB.
