To identify the factors that determine the economic behavior of indigenous peoples of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. Methodology. The structured interview as the main research method is aimed at identifying the features of the modern household structure of farms, consumer habits, attitudes to money, wealth, and economic institutions. Results. In the course of studying the literature, six determinants affecting the economic consciousness and behavior of indigenous peoples of the Russian Arctic were identified: geo-ecological, social, psychological, economic, political-legal, and demographic. The empirical study in the Nenets ethno-cultural environment confirmed the presence of these determinantfactors, the first four of which being decisive. Research implications. To develop conflict-free communication skills among employees of the medical and genetic center. Methodology. To achieve the goal of the study in accordance with its objectives the following methods were used: the questionnaire on behavior in a conflict situation (K. W. Thomas, R. H. Kilmenn, adapted by N. V. Grishina), the method of personal aggressiveness and conflict (E. P. Ilyin, P. A. Ko-valev), the comparative analysis of dependent and independent samples according to the student’s t-criterion. When processing the empirical data, the statistical package from SPSS Statistics 23 for Windows 7 was used. Results. The developed training for conflict-free communication helps to reduce the level of conflict, negative and positive aggression, as well as to develop constructive ways out of a conflict situation. Research implications. Purpose: To identify the role of life-orientation and motivation to achieve success and avoid failure in leisure activities of youth. Procedure and methods: The authors performed an empirical study on the example of the youth of the Moscow region (124 people) using the author’s questionnaire, SJO by D.A. Leontiev, MSF by A.A. Rean. Results: Correlation analysis showed that the components of life-orientation orientations are positively associated with the preference for more active forms of leisure, the predominance of positive emotions in connection with leisure activities, developing senses of leisure, orientation to socially useful leisure, and the motivation to achieve is positively associated with the significance of some obstacles to spending leisure time and denying forms of leisure that damage the individual and family. Is to determine the role of social and humanitarian education in the system of higher professional education and justify the need for its actualization as an important resource in the field of higher education, analysis of existing educational practices and educational needs of students of Russian universities. Methodology and Approach. The article presents three stages of the research, during which university students’ current attitudes to social and humanitarian knowledge are studied (on the example of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow Institute of Economics, Politics and Law). The study used such empirical research methods as questionnaires and focus groups. When interpreting the research results, general scientific methods, such as comparison and generalization, were used. Results. The study examined educational practice in the field of social and humanitarian education. The educational needs of Russian students and their attitude to social and humanitarian knowledge are identified. Theoretical/practical significance: The results of the study contribute to the theory and practice of socio-humanitarian education in Russian higher educational institutions, the necessity of changing and updating the content of socio-humanitarian knowledge in today’s educational practice. Purpose: the purpose of the article is to justify the need to study the characteristics of generation Z (centennials) in the psychological and pedagogical context, as their socialization occurs in radically different conditions from previous generations. Methodology and Approach: the author analyzes scientific and popular sources, which allowed us to systematize a number of trends in the formation of psychological characteristics of centennials, and offers some pedagogical measures that are adequate to the peculiarities of perception and process-ing of information by representatives of the digital generation. Results: the results of a local (28 people) empirical study are presented, which refute the data of some scientific studies on the decline in morals among modern youth.
