The article presents the results of the study of social representations of the Sakha people about “the character of people living in Yakutia”. Methodology and Approach. The study was conducted throughout Yakutia in 2018. The results were processed using prototypical analysis of social representations by P. Verges. The sample of the study is divided into four age groups, taking into account age characteristics and a significant social event for the Yakut society – the adoption of the Sovereignty by the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 1991. To present the summarized results of empirical studies conducted over 20 years aimed at the study of Thanatos-centration. Methodology. The research was performed with the diagnostic toolkit including 13 diagnostic tools. Results. 1796 respondents took part in the research. The results of many years of empirical study make it possible to conclude that Thanatos centration happens gradually, as a person grows older. It increases in connection with the death of a close person. Thanatos centering captures the consciousness of people who work professionally with death as a powerful wave. It becomes especially evident among people who survived combat operations. Any information about the tragic events produces and “enlivens” the thanatos-centering at the moment of getting it and in the memories of it. It is fueled by cinematic and television products, that in conjunction leads to the addiction to it. Research implications. To identify the socio-psychological determinants of the psychological well-being of respondents during a pandemic. Methodology. The study involved residents of Russia, Germany, Italy and Holland. The data were obtained on the basis of respondents’ answers to 95 questions of the questionnaire developed by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences. The content of the questionnaire included non-standardized and standardized scales. Results. It was revealed that the psychological well-being of respondents during a pandemic is sig-nificant with age, living conditions and resilience. The determinants of psychological well-being of the respondents were identified, which include the size of the area of residence, resilience and satisfaction of respondents with remote work. There are cultural and national characteristics in the severity of the listed determinants. Research implications. The theoretical and practical significance of the study lies in identifying uni-versal determinants and their cultural and national characteristics during the pandemic. The purpose of the article is to study the socio-psychological adaptation of the personality of the university students, to examine the position of researchers in relation to this problem. The results of the survey of 74 students of the University of Architecture and Building are analyzed. Procedure and research methods. Theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis) and practical (question-ing, processing and analysis of results) were used. The methodology of the study was a systematic approach that allowed us to consider the socio-psychological adaptation of the personality of a university student as an integral system with its elements. Results. As a result of the study, it was revealed that during the adaptation process the interviewed students had certain problems. It was difficult for freshmen to join the team. Their training duties were more complex than they had imagined. At the same time, the majority of respondents success-fully coped with the tasks set, and completed adaptation.
