The purpose of the article is to study the socio-psychological adaptation of the personality of the university students, to examine the position of researchers in relation to this problem. The results of the survey of 74 students of the University of Architecture and Building are analyzed. Procedure and research methods. Theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis) and practical (question-ing, processing and analysis of results) were used. The methodology of the study was a systematic approach that allowed us to consider the socio-psychological adaptation of the personality of a university student as an integral system with its elements. Results. As a result of the study, it was revealed that during the adaptation process the interviewed students had certain problems. It was difficult for freshmen to join the team. Their training duties were more complex than they had imagined. At the same time, the majority of respondents success-fully coped with the tasks set, and completed adaptation.
