Purpose: the purpose of the article is to justify the need to study the characteristics of generation Z (centennials) in the psychological and pedagogical context, as their socialization occurs in radically different conditions from previous generations. Methodology and Approach: the author analyzes scientific and popular sources, which allowed us to systematize a number of trends in the formation of psychological characteristics of centennials, and offers some pedagogical measures that are adequate to the peculiarities of perception and process-ing of information by representatives of the digital generation. Results: the results of a local (28 people) empirical study are presented, which refute the data of some scientific studies on the decline in morals among modern youth.
