The purpose of the research is to determine the ways of developing the methodology of early foreign language teaching. As a result, a quantitative and qualitative analysis of 123 dissertation studies on scientific specialties 13.00.01 General pedagogy, history of pedagogy and education, 13.00.02 Theory and methodology of teaching and upbringing (by fields of education), 13.00.08. Theory and methodology of vocational education, for the period from 2012 to 2021, that allow to determine the main directions of the methodology development of early foreign language teaching. The question of the interdisciplinary orientation of the works is considered. Scientific developments are devoted to the methodology of early teaching foreign languages, in particular, the integration of foreign language education in the process of education of value orientations, moral education, intellectual development, the development of speech communication. It is concluded that most studies in the field of foreign language teaching methods are devoted to the formation of language sub-skills, speech skills, and the formation of competencies, however, they are focused on school-age students, adult learners. Insufficient attention is paid to the methodology of early learning of foreign languages; despite the fact that many local and foreign researchers believe that preschool children are ready for foreign language learning. The variety of digital tools and the ubiquitous availability of information anywhere and at any time create tremendous opportunities for the creative use of diverse approaches to assessing student learning in higher education. One of the widespread methods of online assessment used in higher education is online testing. Increasing the use of online tests requires the study of various resources and their capabilities in assessing learning. The article analyzes the role of online tests in higher education, their capabilities in assessing the results of students’ learning in distance and mixed formats, as well as the issues and problems they pose. The article discusses the stages of development of test tasks, as well as the rules that must be followed when compiling them. An analysis of some interactive tools for the development of various test materials has been carried out, on the basis of which several tools are proposed. At the same time, the professional activity of police officers in ensuring public order and protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens is of great importance. In a situation of negative social transformations caused, among other things, by the pandemic, disputes about vaccination, only a positive civil dialogue can relieve tension in society. In this regard, the requirements for the social and communicative competencies of police officers as representatives of the authorities and subjects of civil society are increasing. The article provides a scientific and methodological description of the activities of teachers of short-term courses of universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the direction of optimizing the professional and personal training of students. The content of the concept of “social and communicative competencies of a police officer” is substantiated; possible methodological techniques and forms of competence development are shown. Some results of their application in educational practice are given, taking into account the results of the scientific research conducted by the author in 2019–2021. Attention is focused on the features of interactive learning in connection with the problem under consideration. The study focuses on the issues of TED Talks potential for being used at foreign language lessons. The relevance of the study is caused by the need to concentrate on TED Talks efficiency for soft skills development in teaching foreign language. This research aims at studying and analyzing the advantages, as well as the results of using TED Talks services for the development of public speaking skills. The methods we applied involved the study of theoretical works on the problems of using TED Talks video materials and some empirical methods including observation and analysis of experience in using these materials. The results obtained represent the practical importance of a complex of special tasks for the students of International Relations major. The article analyzes the regulatory documents that set the guidelines for the development of environmental education for sustainable development. Comparative analysis of empirical data from questionnaires (2010 – 152 people and 2020 – 106 people) was aimed at identifying ways to improve the professional training of bachelors of education in the context of increasing global and regional environmental problems, the development of a “green” economy and politics, formation of ecological culture as key factors of sustainable development of society.High and average values of correlation loads by types of activity, influencing the formation of competencies among students in the field of environmental education (educational, research and pedagogical practice (r = 0,968), scientific research work with pedagogical practice (r = 0,713)). A connection has been revealed between the use of environmental technologies and government measures (r = 0,999; p≤0,05), which characterizes the readiness of bachelors of education to perceive environmental problems and interact with objects of the natural environment through the active and systematic use of environmental technologies. The necessity of implementing common methodological foundations in the process of training future teachers (the concept of sustainable development, ideas of axiological, socio-cultural and competence-based approaches, noohumanistic values) has been substantiated. The article reflects the stages, content, processes and research tools for the formation of technical and technological competence in future engineers-teachers in the process of professional training. The analysis allowed the authors of the study to determine the content of the technical and technological activity of the engineer-teacher, to carry out a conceptual and terminological identification of basic definitions, and then to determine the essence of the technical and technological competence of engineers-teachers, the structure of which is a system of interrelated components – motivational-value, communicative, cognitive and reflective. The authors refer to the theoretical foundations of the study as a set of methodological approaches to the formation of technical and technological competence: competence-based, practice-oriented, activity-oriented, personality-oriented, com- municative, integrative. As a result of the study, the diagnostic tools have been improved in the context of determining the criteria (motivational-value, cognitive, communicative and reflexive), indicators and levels of formation of the technical and technological competence of future engineers-teachers. Attention is focused on the substantiation and development of pedagogical conditions for the formation of technical and technological competence in future engineers and teachers. The mechanisms and tools by means of which the complex of pedagogical conditions in the process of professional training of students of the experimental group was realized are described. The effectiveness of the developed pedagogical conditions, their productive influence on the formation of all components of technical and technological competence are shown. It was revealed that only under the condition of the comprehensive implementation of the presented pedagogical conditions there is an effective formation of the technical and technological competence of future engineers-teachers, which is confirmed by the methods of mathematical statistics. Two directions of the social education implementation are identified: one focused on the preparation of a citizen subordinate to the state interests, considered from the standpoint of an authoritarian approach, and the other – related to the education of an initiative active, creatively self-fulfilling personality, conditioned by a humanistic approach. The author of the article emphasizes the anthropological significance of the social development of the individual, formulated the fundamental principles of positive social education. It shows the departure in subsequent years from the leading positions of humanistic reform pedagogy and the ideas of the classics of Soviet pedagogy. At the same time, the continuity of the personal orientation of social education in the theory and practice of V. A. Sukhomlinsky and such Transbaikal historians of pedagogy as G. A. Barkin and A. F. Verkhotina is revealed. The author of the article characterizes the contribution of the Transbaikal scientists who reveal their own understanding of the process of social formation of a person on the basis of understanding the humanistic component of the concept of the founders of Soviet pedagogy. The article indicates that the accumulated significant historical and pedagogical potential of positive socialization can be useful for solving modern problems in the field of social education. The relevance of the article lies in the recent trend in learning a foreign language through the comprehension of culture. During the study, some results were achieved that contribute to the optimization of the work with feature films at the Russian as a foreign language lessons. The main directions of its analysis in a foreign student audience are described: textocentric, audiovisual, linguoculturological, communicative. The significance of a comprehensive feature film analysis for better knowledge of culture and language learning is determined. The complexity involves the interpretation of the visual series and audio order, the discourse meanings analysis, the definition and development of sociocultural and linguistic cultural components, as well as the identification in the film of the most typical speech behaviors. It is noted that when analyzing the film in the textocentric aspect, discourse should be considered taking into account pragmatic, sociocultural, psychological factors, students’ ethnic characteristics, differences in behavior patterns in similar situations among different countries representatives. The article considers the linguoculturological component, the use of which, when analyzing the film, helps to reveal linguistic and cultural universals for students, teach to draw parallels, adequately evaluate the situation, and identify themselves in it. The pre-viewing and post-viewing tasks system developed and tested in practice is also presented and it contributes to better assimilation of the film text in Russian cinema classes at the university. An important place is taken by personal manuscripts, memories of Anna Philippovna’s sister and pupils. A. F. Verkhotina’s contribution to the development of children’s movement in Transbaikalia is emphasized. The article notes the desire to theoretically comprehend the strategy and tactics of the “Republic of Young Transbaikalians”. Anna Philippovna was involved in preparing future teachers for educational work with temporary children’s groups during the summer holidays, the creation of methodological support for this work. She was a leader of any group and a professional organizer of different events. A. F. The purpose of the article is a linguodidactic analysis of theoretical and practical material in the educational and methodological complex of the linguoculturological module “Transbaikalia Studies. Living Word of Transbaikalia” of the integrated school course “Transbaikalia Studies”, which examines the issues of interaction of languages and cultures in the polyethnic Trans-Baikal Territory, allowing to form the linguoculturological competence of schoolchildren. An effective means of forming linguistic and cultural competence, according to the authors of the article, is the “Living Word of Transbaikalia” used in textbooks (grades 6 and 7) a contrastive approach to the study of the facts of the Russian language, Buryat and Evenk languages with the identification of common properties and differences with a projection on the representation of the peculiarities of national cultures. The article shows how to demonstrate national identity and unifying universal values of the peoples living in Transbaikalia through consideration of regional linguistic features.
