Armstrong once stated that he believes movements using the hands were the earliest form of complex human communication. The beginning stage of human computer Interactions is a gesture recognition system. Here, we have designed a Dynamic Hand Gesture Recognition (HGR) System using a Neural Network, which can recognize the gesture using the Computer or Laptop’s Web Camera and do the corresponding tasks. The model has been divided into mainly three modules. Firstly, Module 1 is about building a CNN model which we use to predict the gestures. Our second module is about predicting the gesture through live video feed. The final module is about assigning a specified task for a particular predicted gesture. For the predicted gesture, we use PyAutoGUI module to control devices like mouse and keyboard. Finally, the system is made to do some desired tasks in response to the gestures and obtains 99.84% of accuracy.","PeriodicalId":334645,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Energy, Signal Processing and Cyber Security (iSSSC)","volume":"280 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115425479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Identifying power line outages becomes very difficult and complex when the size of the system increases. The two main limitations for simulating power system networks in real time are computational complexity and data storage. Here a new methodology is proposed for finding real-time updated system matrices using the Woodbury formula. This paper gives information about the identification of power line outages in AC load flow using PMUs. Pre-outage and Post-outage time required by PMUs to detect the line outages in different IEEE bus systems are compared. Pre- and Post-outage values of active power, reactive power, voltage magnitude, and phase angle are also compared for IEEE-14 and IEEE-30 bus systems and for the system to operate economically, PMUs are placed at optimal locations in this work.","PeriodicalId":334645,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Energy, Signal Processing and Cyber Security (iSSSC)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122158128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is capable of dealing with almost all type of Power Quality Problems (PQP). It is the combination of Series-Shunt Compensation (SSC). It employs two converter topology namely series connected and shunt connected with the utility system. Conventional converters are designed by employing 2-Level Voltage Source Inverter (2LVSI). The 2LVSI suffers from high loss under high voltage conditions, hence this paper proposed a Multi-level Inverter (MLI) based Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) converter topology for designing UPQC. The comparative analysis of 2LVSI and NPC-MLI based UPQC is presented for simultaneous voltage regulation and mitigation of harmonic to check the topological superiority of the converter design.","PeriodicalId":334645,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Energy, Signal Processing and Cyber Security (iSSSC)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122652963","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

BLDC motors are more efficient, have a wider speed control range, and have a higher torque ratio. There are so many techniques, which can be used to regulate the speed of the brushless DC motor and limit the torque ripple. Due to the complexity of most methods and their disregarding of stator flux linkage control, high-speed performances are impractical. To overcome this problem, PI controller is used, which can proceed the current speed, evaluate this value to the operating point, and determine the frequency of the output signals. The motor has driven using a modified hysteresis controller, which limit the torque ripple and regulate the current under predetermined range. Through simulation results by using MATLAB software, the postulated three-phase BLDC motor control scheme’s viability and practical applicability are verified.","PeriodicalId":334645,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Energy, Signal Processing and Cyber Security (iSSSC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130560083","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study proposes an Ant Colony Optimization approach with the Traveling Salesman Problem (ACO-TSP) for DNA Sequence Optimizations. The proposed technique is a unique ant colony optimization approach for reconstructing DNA sequences from fragments of DNA. Existing meta-heuristics, on the other hand, are consistently outperformed in terms of performance by newly invented constructive heuristics. This model was developed based on these novel heuristics, with four nodes (cities) representing the four DNA bases. According to the findings of the experiments, the new approach is more reliable and generates higher-quality results.","PeriodicalId":334645,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Energy, Signal Processing and Cyber Security (iSSSC)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121193340","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The increasing demand requires an effective and noninvasive retinal imaging tools to manage the growing retinal abnormality. A promising strategy in this area is the use of portable fundus cameras and handheld mobile cameras that are connected to a smartphone. In contrast to retinal images taken using traditional equipment, the fundus camera and smartphone images are frequently of poor quality and difficult to segment the optic disc due to nonuniform illumination and a small curved surface of the retina. To alleviate the segmentation problem, this paper proposed a non-convex rank approximation technique for efficient segmentation of optic disc. Adaboost, KNN, Randomforest and SVM are the four machine learning classifiers used after OD segmentation in order to compare the results of the proposed method and for better accuracy. This method achieved an accuracy of 89.25% using SVM classifier for REFUGE dataset.","PeriodicalId":334645,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE 2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Energy, Signal Processing and Cyber Security (iSSSC)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127850156","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
