It refers to the changes in the operational\u0000environment which can be observed nowadays. Educating senior officers is\u0000a process which requires proper tools, techniques, methods and approach. War Studies\u0000University tries to respond to these appearing needs in the field of operational planning\u0000process, especially in understanding the operational environment. The article looks at\u0000the elements of this process. Implementing the design thinking may possibly be an\u0000offer that has to be tested. A general overview of the testing model is the aim of the\u0000second part of this article. A description of the experimental model includes control\u0000and experimental group, dependent and independent variables. Additionally, selected\u0000tools are presented. The conduct of the pilot research to verify methods and the way\u0000of conducting the experiment is also predicted. The article also refers to the problems\u0000of cultural adaptation of the scenario. First of all, the scenario has to be of complex\u0000context. This is the consequence of used typology of the operational environment. In\u0000the Cynefin framework, environment is divided into four types: simple, complicated,\u0000complex and chaotic. The\u0000article starts with an overview of basic requirements set for civil protection in Poland\u0000in peacetime. It looks further at the current state of the legal framework, organisation\u0000and resources for such civil protection. Finally, the article identifies requirements for\u0000improvement of civil protection in peacetime in Poland and assesses the chances for\u0000implementing them. The research revealed that the problems related to civil protection\u0000were not covered in the existing literature in a coherent manner. The current legal\u0000requirements for civil protection in Poland in peacetime can be found in various legal\u0000regulations and are not contained in a single framework document. The assessments of\u0000the current state of civil protection in Poland in peacetime conducted by the Supreme\u0000Audit Office suggest an urgent need for improvement. The resulting integration of civilian and military logistic personnel and systems to form a joint military-civilian/ public-private integrated logistic system has required a number of adjustments and changes in order for the product to be efficient, effective, and functional and remains a dynamic and ongoing process. In 2018, commercial logistic support is now at the point where certain militaries are deploying non-military logistic contractors forward into 1st and 2nd line logistic support roles. This article will briefly describe the western military trend to commercial logistic contracting, highlighting key points and considerations of which any military will require awareness, if contemplating a similar expansion. It will also emphasise that this growth of civilian contracting has been predicated on low intensity, counterinsurgency conflicts such as deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. 1st and 2nd line commercial logistic support hence remains completely untested in the event of a potential peer or near-peer conflict. The untested nature of commercial contracting in a forward support role is the greatest potential critical vulnerability of militarycivilian integrated logistic systems, especially in the context of a potential NATO Article V -type conflict. The following article looks at the planned modifications in the context of\u0000training aviation personnel for the needs of the Air Force. The “Training military\u0000pilots” section discusses the process of training candidates to be military pilots, the\u0000main problems related to it as well as the nature of the system of training and educating\u0000the cadets of the Polish Air Force University. The considerations in the next section\u0000of the article concern the selection of candidates for military pilots. The recruitment,\u0000consisting of several stages, aims to efficiently identify the best candidates for service\u0000in aviation. The screening training, the aim of which is to check the predispositions of\u0000candidates for serving as pilots, is a novelty in this process. The chapter “Selection”\u0000looks at the solutions applied so far in the School of Eaglets, and also analyses the\u0000benefits of the new recruitment method.
