It is partly due to the traditional argument that the university has been detached from the community development. A simple random sampling was employed, and 52 respondents managed to participate in this study by answering questionnaires. Next, the structured interviews were conducted to cross-check the statistical analysis findings among the communities in Alor Gajah, Bandaraya Melaka and Jasin. The purpose of this study is to find out how the existence of UiTM Melaka has impacted the community development, especially in the aspects of public transportation, facilities, business growth, education and job opportunities. The results found that the existence of UiTM Melaka contributes to the valuable impacts to the development of those aspects, particularly on promoting youth and teenagers to pursue higher education. Besides, its establishment does assist the community to increase their income as more job opportunities are available in the surrounding areas. However, there is a need to look at how UiTM Melaka can help in growing the business companies (commercial) around the residential areas. These findings provide significant implications to the university management and policymakers to re-look at specific strategies to further strengthen the university engagements and community development in the future.","PeriodicalId":333260,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123076386","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

W. Bush) (1989-1993). The change occurred in the United States foreign policy towards Jordan due to Jordan’s position opposing the United States of America towards an Iraq war. Jordanian-American connections were disrupted because of that war when Jordan took a stand of opposition to the United States of America, influencing political and economic relations between them. So Jordan is the only one affected by that war. The study is conducted as qualitative research. The study reached the following results: On the political side, the Iraqi war on Kuwait led to a tense relationship between Jordan and the United States of America due to Jordan’s refusal to enter the coalition against Iraq under the United States' leadership America. The Jordanian popular position in Iraq's support in that war led to Jordanian pressure not to accept that alliance and this position. The United States of America has pressured the Gulf States to cut ties with Jordan. On the economic side of every political event with economic consequences and the Jordanian political position towards that war, Jordanian relations with the Gulf countries were cut off due to American pressure. Also, oil supplies from Iraq, which were taken at symbolic prices, were cut off. Hundreds of thousands of expatriates in the Gulf countries returned to Jordan, also reduced American aid to Jordan and closure the port of Aqaba. Those pressures led to a drop in the gross domestic product by 8%, slowing economic growth, and an increase in the unemployment rate to 30% and poverty to 33%.","PeriodicalId":333260,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127482586","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper examines the components of mindset among food-based social entrepreneurship in Malaysia. A detailed review is used to sort out the literature and develop the research direction of the study. The review is focused on components of mindset among social entrepreneurs. An entrepreneurial mindset could sharpen the focus and strengthen the rationale compared to merely entrepreneurial competencies. However, research on the entrepreneurial mindset does not address these particularities, and the entrepreneur mindset attributes have been investigated mainly within the commercial entrepreneurial context. As the demand for food is continuously increasing, there are plenty of rooms to grow, to explore and understand the components that underlie the food-based social entrepreneurs' mindset. This paper is anticipated to shed some light on society and policymakers, which later help develop social entrepreneurship in Malaysia.","PeriodicalId":333260,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125385531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, numerous studies had been done by prior scholars to explore and identify the important factors for project success from holistic perspective. In addition, prior research also commonly agreed that project manager plays an important role toward project success. However, there is lack of study that particularly focuses on the roles played by project manager toward project success. Hence, this paper reviews the roles of project manager, reexamines the definition of project management from the project manager perspective and reassesses the relationship between project manager and project management success. Finding from this paper suggests that the capability of project manager on project team management, such as project activities planning, project team member skill evaluation and job distribution; knowledge on the application of project management tools and techniques; and how the project manager deals with political and cultural issues are the key elements for project success.","PeriodicalId":333260,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122718454","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, some may have less aesthetical sense and color appreciation for interior design. This paper aims to investigate ease of use and usability of color selection tool for non-designers, who are not familiar to apply color and mood setting on interior design. A usability evaluation was conducted with 30 participants. The result shows an average score of 2.63/5.0, revealing poor usability of using a Paint Tester Application for non-designers. Therefore, it is important for mobile apps developers to evaluate the usability components and user acceptance for improved apps development. Future studies will encompass a comparative analysis of different color selection tools for non-designers.","PeriodicalId":333260,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122719318","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various sources of poor mental health reported and playing dual roles as student-athletes could be more stressful. How happy these students are yet to be explored with their mental health. Thus, this study aimed to explore the mental health and happiness among university student-athletes and their differences with demographic variables. Participants were university student-athletes who competed in Sukan Institut Pengajian Tinggi (SUKIPT) (N = 364). A stratified sampling technique was employed in selecting the participants through self-administered questionnaires. The instruments used were the General Health questionnaire (GHQ) and Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) to measure mental health and happiness of the participants. Findings revealed that the athletes have a moderate mental health and considerable happiness. The female athletes were significantly happier than the male athletes (p < .05), while the mental health exhibited no significant difference (p > .05). The results also revealed no significant relationship between mental health and happiness (p > .05). Higher institutions should pay attention to the student- athletes’ sports and academic demand to prevent mental health issue.","PeriodicalId":333260,"journal":{"name":"The International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences","volume":"125 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132624446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
