The study is based on primary data with 382 responses. The self-administered questionnaires is used to collect the perceptive opinions from the respondents. The study concludes that hospitality industry employees’ the “honest and reliable team members” and “truthful employees” are most important factor to trust for knowledge creation while “employees have mutual faith in others’ abilities” influences less. There is no significant difference between response of gender, age groups, educational groups, work experience groups, marital status, current department and current position groups in the context of trust.","PeriodicalId":331142,"journal":{"name":"PYC Nepal Journal of Management","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116476698","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study uses natural logarithm of per capita real GDP as a proxy of output growth and means removal average of broad money (M2) to GDP ratio and domestic private credit to GDP ratio as a proxy of financial development indicator. The results of ARDL bounds test show that financial development and output growth in Nepal is co-integrated over the study period. The study results demonstrate that financial development in Nepal leads to output growth in the long-run. However, the study fails to detect any impact of financial development on output growth in Nepal over the short-run. Based on long run results of this study, it can be concluded that development of financial sector in Nepal can stimulate long-run output growth. Thus, considerable efforts should be paid on promoting the development of the financial sector that contributes significantly to achieve long-run output growth.","PeriodicalId":331142,"journal":{"name":"PYC Nepal Journal of Management","volume":"34 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114038153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The 43 years' annual time series data from 1974/75 to 2016/17 of GDP, tax revenue and nontax revenue have been used to test the causal relationship of the variables. A unit root test, Engle-Granger’s co-integration and Error Correction Model have been applied for the data analysis. The variables have been found stationary after first differencing I(1) when Augmented Dickey-Fuller unit root test is employed. From Engel-Granger test, it has been found that the variables are co-integrated. The short-term coefficients are not significant, however error correction term (ECT) is significant and contains a negative sign in the error correction model (ECM). It validates the ECM model. The ECT has shown that the annual speed of adjustment from disequilibrium to equilibrium is 34.3 percent. So far as the relationship is concerned, there is a long run relationship between tax revenue and economic growth in Nepal controlling the non-tax revenue. The impact of tax revenue on economic growth could be a good impetus for the policy maker and planner to increase the collection of revenue for the country.","PeriodicalId":331142,"journal":{"name":"PYC Nepal Journal of Management","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124038654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study was carried out to explore factors affecting decision to purchase fertilizer by the farmers. Data were collected from 200 farmers through five-point Likert-type questionnaire constructed for current study. The questionnaire was used to seek farmers’ opinion on the significance of the selected determinants to purchase fertilizer. These determinants are – price, fertilizer quality, brand, advertisement, soil quality, crop quality and landscapes. Results revealed that farmers gave more importance on quality of crops, fertilizer and landscape than price and advertising.","PeriodicalId":331142,"journal":{"name":"PYC Nepal Journal of Management","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128847609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
