After observing the school, multiple problems were found, such as students' lack of enthusiasm during learning due to their lack of extrinsic motivation, students still needing help to read and count correctly, and teachers still using traditional learning media. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through teacher interviews and school observations. This research was conducted at Middle School 2 Pamarican for four months, from March 2nd, 2022, to June 29th, 2022. This research was aimed at students in grades VII and VIII and was carried out directly. The results of this dedication activity include assisting in teaching, learning multiplication using jarimatika, operating numbers, arithmetic series, and the concept of 3 M with the GASING method, improving reading skills using five methods, learning to recite the Quran, and adapting technology aimed at increasing students' learning motivation. There were many obstacles and challenges during the implementation, especially when learning became limited, so teachers had to have high creativity to improve student learning outcomes. Therefore, knowing a good and effective way to teach English vocabulary using songs is essential. This study aims to determine the use of songs to teach English vocabulary by teachers at TK 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) 51. To be able to answer research questions, researchers conducted classroom observations and interviews with teachers who teach English in class. The subjects of this study were class B students, namely classes B1, B2, and B3. From the observations and interviews that researchers have conducted, it is known that teachers have taught well according to the correct stages and enabled children to recognize vocabulary well at each meeting. Students have high learning enthusiasm when the teacher teaches vocabulary using songs that are shown by being active students. The study results show that songs are very effective for teaching English vocabulary to students because they can foster learning motivation so that students can easily remember the vocabulary being taught and that the objectives of teaching vocabulary are well achieved.","PeriodicalId":326722,"journal":{"name":"Edunesia: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124892904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the pandemic forced schools to close and switch to distance learning, students had to adapt to new ways of learning. However, the impact of this transition on student concentration and independence is still under study. This study aims to summarize recent findings on the impact of this transition on student concentration and independence. This study aims to collect data using survey and interview methods to determine students' attention and independence. Researchers created Likert scale questionnaires and interviews. The respondent is a primary school teacher from her 1st grade to her 5th grade at Binus School Simprug Jakarta. A total of 20 teachers interviewed her 15 male teachers and her 5 female teachers. The results showed that most students tend to stay focused and be more independent when learning onsite compared to learning online. However, more research is needed to fully understand the magnitude of these effects and how they can be mitigated in an online learning environment. Overall, this summary highlights the importance of considering the influence of the learning environment on student learning outcomes and the need for further research in this area.","PeriodicalId":326722,"journal":{"name":"Edunesia: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132369392","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
