It is a quantitative research study with the entire 5B class population. The design used in this study is a one-shot case study, and data collection involved using observation sheets to measure student activeness. The subjects of this research are 31 students from class 5B at SDN Oro-Oro Ombo Wetan 1. Data collection utilized validity tests, reliability tests, tests for prerequisite analysis of normality, and the results of the T-test (One-Sample Statistics) with a significance level of 5% (0.05), yielding a significant t-value (2-tailed) of 0.004. Based on the validity results, all 30 observation items and 31 student responses were deemed valid. The reliability test indicated reliability, and the normality test confirmed that the residual values were normally distributed. The t-test result showed that the significance value of student activeness was 0.004, less than 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This means that there is an influence of the problem-based learning model on student activeness in science learning. If this model is implemented in elementary schools, it will positively impact student activeness and engagement in the learning process.","PeriodicalId":326722,"journal":{"name":"Edunesia: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131126383","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Teachers' work or organizational climate is also seen as less favourable, possibly due to a lack of effective communication and feelings of jealousy towards colleagues. Indeed, this will impact the teachers' emotional state, which in turn affects their performance. Leadership participation is needed in such conditions. This study is field research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 30 teachers. The research findings conclude that: a) there is an influence of the principal's participative leadership style on the performance of middle school teachers, b) there is an influence of the work climate on the performance of middle school teachers, c) there is a combined influence of the principal's participative leadership style and the work climate on the performance of middle school teachers, and d) the simultaneous influence of the independent variables, the principal's participative leadership style, and the work climate, on the dependent variable, the performance of middle school teachers, accounts for approximately 90.1% and is influenced by other unmentioned variables. The implications of this research can serve as a guideline for school principals to implement a participative leadership style that supports teachers in developing their performance and creates a positive and conducive work climate to enhance teachers' performance in schools.","PeriodicalId":326722,"journal":{"name":"Edunesia: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134471370","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data was collected through reflective journals written every day by five PPL teachers. Reflective journals described PPL teachers’ experiences while teaching at SMAN 1 Malunda, including adaptations they made while on duty. In addition, a Focus Group Discussion was held after the PPL teacher assignment was completed to obtain additional information and some necessary data verification. Qualitative content and thematic analysis using NVivo 12 were implemented. Five phases passed in this analysis process: data import, coding, exploration, visualization, and data presentation. The finding of this study was that the PPL teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Malunda adapted through three stages, namely the period of observation, teaching preparation, and teaching actualization. Moreover, the PPL teachers believed that the earthquake and the Covid-19 pandemic simultaneously resulted in non-conducive educational activities in the school. The findings were significant for the PPL committee, school principals, and tutors in helping PPL students adapt and overcome the problems they face as new teachers.","PeriodicalId":326722,"journal":{"name":"Edunesia: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan","volume":"144 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116427008","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context of education, choosing to homeschool is an alternative for parents who want to provide more personal education and focus on their children. The decision to choose to homeschool is influenced by many factors, that parents’ beliefs about formal education, availability of resources, environmental conditions, and children’s preferences. This research method uses a qualitative approach with case studies. Where this research uses case research at institutions that provide homeschooling services, in Bogor Area. This study used interview and observation techniques, the research team conducted interviews with principals, parents, and students. These results indicate the selection of homeschooling is based on parents who understand that every child has a nature, they learn of coercion. Children have to be given comfort in learning because comfortable learning will make children not bored in learning. The teacher’s task is as a facilitator about what they need. Teachers and parents together in achieving goals tailor-made for their children, because to get there, an interview with parents is needed regarding their readiness to become partners, if parents do not cooperate with the teacher, then the school will follow up and it is not recommended to take part in the learning process.","PeriodicalId":326722,"journal":{"name":"Edunesia: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127353584","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to identify the factors that assist or impede the implementation of cooperative learning courses in two Elementary School Teacher Education Departments (PGSD) involving 40 students. The researchers used an approach known as purposeful sampling, in which they selected the sample by identifying particular features that were consistent with their research objectives and were expected to be able to provide solutions to research problems. This research was conducted at two private universities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive questionnaire was used to collect information on the supporting and inhibiting variables of cooperative learning. Grades in Indonesian language classes have been correlated with a group effort in completing assignments (78.75%). A contributing component, the students' propensity for cooperative learning in the academic appreciation course (78%), emerges subsequently. Another aspect is the desire to complete the assignment (77.25%). Furthermore, factors that encourage cooperative learning are investigated. More suitable media facilities are essential (75%), given that the brilliant students predominate (80.75%) but familiarize themselves with cooperative learning. These facts imply that cooperative learning lays the foundation for academy students' participation, engagement, and problem-solving to be implemented during the learning and teaching processes.","PeriodicalId":326722,"journal":{"name":"Edunesia: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121161615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
