A poemphrase is a poem the title of which is a phraseological item and the text reveals its informational potential in one way or another – central and peripheral semes of the meaning of phraseologism, associative series, cultural and intertextual relations, etc. A phraseological title in the text of this genre becomes a special item, a createme semantically transformed and enriched with the meanings of the subsequent text. The article is based on the author's material (more than 60 texts of this genre created in 2015–2022). Six types of the main meaningful correlations a phraseological title with followed text of the poemphrase are revealed – personification of the image embedded in phraseology; demonstration of the content of phraseologism based on fictional personal examples; creating a plot text based on the semantics of phraseologism; literalisation of a phraseological symbol; representation of the phraseologism-stated problem side aspect rather than the main aspect; objection to the postulate of a phraseologism. The features of the disclosure of the information potential of a phraseological item, its plot-forming, genre-forming, text-forming features are analysed. Nenarokova","doi":"10.34216/1998-0817-2023-29-1-85-92","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.34216/1998-0817-2023-29-1-85-92","url":null,"abstract":"The article focuses on one of the episodes of ‟The Pilgrim's Progress” by John Bunyan (an episode in the House of the Interpreter) and the change in its emblematic content in the adaptations of J.Bunyan's book for readers of the 19th – the 20th centuries. The object of study is the meaning of the Interpreter’s image and that of the content and form of the seven emblematic descriptions in the episode. The subject of the study is the transformation of the source text in the adaptations of the 19th – the 20th centuries. The study is based on J.Bunyan's book and texts by Helen L. Taylor, ‟Little Pilgrim's Progress” and artin Powell 's comics. The tasks of the study were as follows: to determine the meaning of the episode in question in the plot of the book; establish the meaning of the Interpreter’s image in the context of the 17th – 18th c. English culture; to analyse the connection of the emblem complex with the Baroque religious culture; describe the changes in the adaptations of the Pilgrim's Progress for readers of the 19th and the 20th centuries. The study showed that the Interpreter’s image is the key one. The shift in cultural paradigms led to the destruction of the original set of emblems, but the authors of the adaptations used J.Bunyan’s emblems to create their own mini-sets that met the needs of their readership. There are two main types of narrative: theatrical performance and psychological sketch. Theatricality finds expression in the elements of surrealism, magical realism, absurdity. Sometimes it develops into an overt puppet theatre performance. The psychological sketch takes the form of an emotional monolog or an impression. The article analyses the transformations of the author – he constantly changes masks, breaks up into plurality of self; as well as of the protagonist, a passive, problem creature, often a person with damaged psyche. The article substantiates the need to study new concepts of constructing a literary text. Modern authors create “explosions of truth”, most often impartial, moving away from the usual canons and inventing new ones, sometimes taken to the extreme, exaggerated means of artistic expression. It is argued that a story is able to “capture” the momentary and barely noticeable. Kobzarev","doi":"10.34216/1998-0817-2022-28-3-214-219","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.34216/1998-0817-2022-28-3-214-219","url":null,"abstract":"Proceeding from the common human rights goals of the court and the prosecutor to achieve the appointment of criminal proceedings and the relationship of their powers in the pre-trial stages, the article discusses the content and features of the procedural interaction of these participants in the process of evidence. As an example, on the basis of an analysis of the procedure for consideration by the court of complaints in accordance with Article 125 of the Russian Code of Criminal Procedure, attention is drawn to the essence of the participation in evidence in such cases of the court and the prosecutor; the legal and law enforcement problems of the exercise of their powers and various options for their solution are proposed. At the same time, the importance of ensuring the correct combination of control and supervisory powers of these participants in the criminal process is indicated; moreover, taking into account the content of the resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Russian Federation on the category of materials updated in 2022, the need for a clearer legislative definition of the limits of evidence, increasing the assets, is justified. In addition, the directions of improving the procedure for considering such complaints, the need to comply with the sequence of their reception for consideration are specified. The study used general scientific methods (analysis, deduction) and private scientific methods (formal-logical, comparative jurisprudence, etc.). Polonskaya","doi":"10.34216/1998-0817-2022-28-4-81-85","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.34216/1998-0817-2022-28-4-81-85","url":null,"abstract":"The article examines the specifics of the perception of the “And Quiet flows the Don” in France, how the “French” view of Mikhail Sholokhov’s novel helped to popularise the work of Nobel laureate abroad; the role of French periodicals in the further awarding of Nobel Prize to the writer is analysed. Russian writer and critic, representative of the Russian literary diaspora, Vladimir S. Pozner’s response about Mikhail Sholokhov in 1959 for the newspaper “Les Lettres françaises” becomes the object of the study, affecting the reception of Mikhail Sholokhov in France. His article is an overview of the personal and creative layers of the writer’s biography. V.S. Pozner attempts to remove the barriers of misunderstanding of M.Sholokhov’s works, in which most of the narrative is occupied by a description of purely Russian realities that are not entirely understandable to a European. Thus, the critic performs an important educational function. The article about Sholokhov is an example of a fruitful cross-cultural dialogue between East and West. Before us, there is not just the reception of M.Sholokhov's heritage in France, but the perception of the Soviet through the prism of a compatriot who has been living and creating abroad long enough to be able to make M.Sholokhov's image more accessible to the European mentality, but at the same time to feel the connection between personal and creative in M.Sholokhov more multidimensional and deeply. The act of such cross-cultural communication is for V.S. Pozner himself, in a sense, a return to his own roots. The main purpose of the article is to analyse the identity of the author’s linguistic representation, formulating the basis of his understanding of Russia during the reign of Catherine II. The article examines the image of the Russian Empire as a holistic concept, as well as linguistic descriptions of the country’s inhabitants in order to generalise the information received and compile the image of Russia in the 18th century. To understand this image, based on the diary of Francisco de Miranda, some restrictions were made: firstly, because his social circle was limited mainly to aristocrats, and secondly, because of his considerations of a future mission in the colonies. The events of the dream narrated by the main character are analysed, as well as the changes made to the text in the second and third editions – the removal and rearrangement of some episodes in order to adapt the text to the requirements of censorship due to the high-profile trial of the French poet and representative of the libertinage of the 17th century Théophile de Viau who was ideologically close to Sorel; the commentary of Raymond, which appeared in the second edition, which is a conditionally “correct” interpretation; the moralizing comment of “author”, embedded in the text only in the final version, as well as the indication in the introduction of his name – Nicolas De Moulinet sieur Du Parc, who died in 1625.
