Prof. Owusu started his elementary school education at Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG) primary school, Akim Tafo from where he proceeded to St. Peters Secondary School, Nkwatia Kwahu for his Ordinary Level School Certificate. He later did his Advanced Level at Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS), Takoradi. Prof. Owusu gained admission to the University of Ghana to read BSc Agriculture, (after a year as an Engineering student at UST). Bharti","doi":"10.18311/GJEIS/2017/16056","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18311/GJEIS/2017/16056","url":null,"abstract":"Facility Layout Planning problem (FLP) concerns with the design of plan or layout for different operations within the enterprise for enhanced productivity and improved efficiency of a production system. The aim of FLP problem is concerned with optimum layout design and arrangement/positioning of personnel, machines, tools and equipments within a factory environment. In a manufacturing firm, cost entailed for facilities layout corresponds to 20-50% of the total cost, which can be reduced to 20-30% with better FLP. In the last 5 decades, many researchers have proposed several mathematical, classical and heuristic approaches to solve FLP problem, due to its combinatorial NP-hard nature. A research direction on FLP design using several approaches has been described in this review article. In short, the students send their documents to their teachers by e-mail. Along the electronic route between student and teacher, the documents are checked against three central source areas: Internet, published material and student material. If any document displays similarities with the content in the three sources, the system will flag it for possible plagiarism. An analysis overview is generated and sent by e-mail to the teacher concerned. Copyright law considers and encourages progress in two following ways: Firstly, the system pursues to increase both the quality and quantity of ingenious output. Secondly, it seeks to widen public access to ingenious works.
