A qualitative descriptive research methodology is employed in this study. Students enrolled in Manado State University's 2023–2024 Mathematics Education Study Program during their first semester served as the research subjects. Test and interview techniques are used in data collection. Three steps made up the data analysis in this study: reduction, data display, and data verification. Data analysis utilizing the Newman approach yielded the following conclusions: 5.6% encoding errors, 4.8% reading errors, 12% comprehension errors, 8.4% transformation errors, and 18.8% process skill errors were made when solving equation and inequality problems. The inability of pupils to comprehend the concept of the subject being explained, their lack of willingness to study, and their carelessness when reading and completing questions are the causes contributing to these blunders.","PeriodicalId":317961,"journal":{"name":"Journal Of Education And Teaching Learning (JETL)","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140490920","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research uses mixed research methods. The population in the study was all 11th grade of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The sampling technique in this research used a total sampling technique. The total population is 101 people, while the sample size is 101 people. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that some teachers do not understand how to assess essay questions that contain elements of analysis on material on the distribution and management of natural resources and that most students do not understand the answers to essay questions that contain analysis. This is based on the lack of complexity in the content of geographic concepts that can be linked in creating questions and answering essay questions that contain elements of analysis on the distribution and management of natural resources.","PeriodicalId":317961,"journal":{"name":"Journal Of Education And Teaching Learning (JETL)","volume":"405 24","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140490455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Presently, education has become entangled in the currents of capitalization or commercialization, which consequently affect the managerial systems developed and implemented by the educational institutions themselves. This research aims to (i) Identify the forms of educational commercialization, and (ii) Understand the impact of educational commercialization on school dropouts in the Bagan Asahan Village, Tanjungbalai Sub-district, Asahan Regency. This study employs a qualitative, descriptive research design. The selection of informants is done through purposive sampling. Primary and secondary data sources are utilized. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique employed is qualitative-descriptive. The results of this research indicate that, 1) The forms of educational commercialization include (a) expensive educational costs, (b) various institutional fees, and (c) trade within the education sector. 2) The positive impacts of educational commercialization for the community are (a) reduced government burden in financing education, (b) increased competitiveness of educational institutions leading to improved facilities and educational quality, (c) increased profits and income for educational institutions. However, the negative impacts are (a) higher education costs, (b) education becoming a business field, (c) emergence of stigmatization and discrimination between the wealthy and the poor, (d) persistent poverty cycles difficult to break through education, (e) privatization of education, and (f) a shift in the mission of education from an academic culture to an economic culture.","PeriodicalId":317961,"journal":{"name":"Journal Of Education And Teaching Learning (JETL)","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139358914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As previously stated, interactive media is a system for presenting lessons with visuals, sound, and video material, which are presented with controls so that students can not only hear and see images and sound, but also give an active response. Creativity is an ability to create something new, unique, different from before, either in the form of an idea or a real work by combining pre-existing elements. The type of research used is the method of developing interactive learning media. The purpose of this study was to increase the creativity of UHKBNPP physics education students in developing interactive teaching media. The conclusions obtained from the development of interactive teaching media to increase the creativity of UHKPNP physics education students are very high, namely the average percentage is 96%. This is obtained from the average percentage of media experts, namely 83.76%. For the average percentage of material experts is 91.25%. This is very good for students in developing media to increase student creativity.","PeriodicalId":317961,"journal":{"name":"Journal Of Education And Teaching Learning (JETL)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129044730","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to investigate incidents before and when the bullying happened, the role of schools and parents in bullying, and how to stop bullying. The research method employed was a systematic literature review. The research revealed that bullying happens when there is a lack of teacher supervision and the victim has often been bullied. The bully is often bigger, older, in numbers, and attacks suddenly. The role of parents is to behave after receiving reports of bullying from children. In order to prevent bullying from happening, a program against bullying (anti-bullying) needs to be introduced in schools. The program should target all layers, namely, the students, teachers, staff in the school environment, and parents. The more anti-bullying programs are launched, the more effective they will be in preventing the recurrence of bullying cases.","PeriodicalId":317961,"journal":{"name":"Journal Of Education And Teaching Learning (JETL)","volume":"94 10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128692711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
