Engaging students in active learning has been proposed as a means to enhance learning outcomes, motivation, and attitudes towards learning. Although previous research acknowledges the significance of assessment in shaping these factors, there is a lack of specific investigation in this area. The objective of this study is to elucidate the intricate correlation between teacher assessment and student engagement in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. This research uses a qualitative research design by conducting direct interviews to collect and analyze data. There are 3 of the 4 English teachers at SMP Swasta Al-Muslimin Pandan were included in the study at random as participants. This study aimed to examine students' perceptions of the use of quizizz on student motivation and engagement. A descriptive quantitative research design was used in this study, in which data were collected from questionnaires to gain insight into how quizizz affected the aspects of motivation and engagement. The questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study found that quizizz significantly increased students' motivation to learn English, with the interactive nature of the platform being a key factor in boosting their enthusiasm for language learning. Despite a minority of respondents finding quizizz boring, the majority reported enjoying the platform's gamified approach to learning and felt more active and engaged during classes where quizizz was utilized. Additionally, participants acknowledged quizizz's substantial contribution to their knowledge of English vocabulary and grammar. Moreover, the study found that quizizz positively shaped students' perceptions of online learning, its potential to enhance digital learning experiences and enhance student engagement in english learning. The design of this study is descriptive qualitative method. The source of data of this study was the conversations contained deixis found in students' English Textbook \"When English Rings A Bell\" For The Eight Grade of Junior High School. The technique of collecting data used by the resercher was observation with technique of taking note techniques. The data was analyzed By applying the theory of creswell (2007) and to classifying the types of deixis use the theory of Yule (1996). The results show that there were three types of deixis found in students' English Textbook \"When English Rings A Bell\" for the eight grade of Junior High School, namely person deixis, spatial deixis, and temporal deixis. There were a total of 472 deixis data that contained deixis. The variables to be studied consisted of visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning styles (X), and student learning outcomes which became the dependent variable (Y). All students in grades I - VI of SD Negeri 244 Palembang are the research population and there are 40 students who are the samples in this study. Information collection methods applied questionnaires and documentation. Questionnaire was used as a tool to identify visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with a focus on observing the implementation of learning activities at 'Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 3 Kindergarten, Southeast Pontianak. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed that the PBL method applied through loose parts media was effective in developing cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years. Careful planning, the active role of teachers in supporting activities, and the use of interesting media are important factors in the successful implementation of this method. In addition, the results also showed that children showed progress in problem solving, logical thinking and symbolic thinking through active participation in learning activities. Data was collected through tests and analyzed using IBM SPSS 23. After implementing the scientific inquiry learning model based on Malay culture and conventional learning, the average pretest score for student interest in learning in the experimental class was 59.77 and after being given treatment using the scientific inquiry learning model, The student's posttest score was 80.55. The results of the independent sample-test showed a significant value of 0.000, where the value was <0.05.
