This paper describes children’s psychological affect by measuring their self-expression based on their daily experiences in welfare institutions. A total of 163 children in four private children’s homes completed the Malay version of the Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) developed by Ed Diener and Robert Biswas-Diener (2009). The results show that more than half of the children (60.1%) had high levels of positive expression, while 63.2 percent recorded intermediate levels of negative expression. In total, only 30.1 percent of the children had high affect balance. Independent sample t-test shows that male children had significant positive expression and higher affect balance compared to their female counterparts. Female children had higher negative expression than male children. Correlation analyses show that no significant relationships can be established between self-expression and the factors of age and length of stay at the private welfare institutions. Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) indicates that there was a significant difference in mean affect balance between male and female children while adjusting age and length of stay. This implies that gender is an important factor in the positive expression of children in out-of-home care. Statistik penagihan semula telah menunjukkan terlalu ramai bekas penagih kembali menagih setelah bebas dari pusat pemulihan dan pusat koreksional. Namun situasi penagihan berulang (relaps) berlaku disebabkan oleh kurangnya keyakinan untuk berhenti dari menagih. Penyelidik-penyelidik lepas ada mencadangkan implementasi modul sebagai medium untuk penagih berubah. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengkaji kesan penggunan modul Intervensi Pendekatan Terapi Realiti terhadap efikasi kendiri penagih dadah. Kajian secara kuasi eksperimental ini menggunakan soal selidik Pain Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (PSEQ) yang diterjemahkan secara back to back yang mengandungi 10 item yang perlu dijawab oleh responden. Kajian secara kuantitatif bertujuan untuk melihat keyakinan diri untuk berubah dalam kalangan penagih dadah dalam proses pemulihan. Pemilihan responden melibatkan penagih yang menjalani hukuman di Pusat Koreksional Dungun dan dipilih secara rawak bertujuan. Responden penagih dadah telah dipilih seramai 72 yang merupakan penagih yang berulang. Penagih dadah yang dipilih tersebut telah dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan iaitu keumpulan rawatan dan kumpulan kawalan iaitu seramai 36 orang menerima rawatan Intervensi Pendekatan Terapi Realiti dan 36 orang tanpa rawatan. Hasil analisis SPANOVA menunjukkan modul Intervensi Pendekatan Terapi Realiti menyumbang secara signifikan terhadap keyakinan diri berubah penagih dadah secara terus. Kajian ini mengesahkan bahawa modul boleh dijadikan alternatif untuk memberi kesedaran kepada penagih dadah untuk berubah. Salah satu aspek yang perlu dalam kurikulum asas kerja sosial adalah aspek memahami kepelbagaian klien. Dalam konteks Malaysia, kepelbagaian kaum, etnik, budaya dan agama memerlukan pelajar program kerja sosial memahami dan menerima kepelbagaian tersebut agar mereka kompetensi dalam praktis kerja sosial. Satu kajian telah dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui pemahaman dan halangan pelajar terhadap kepelbagaian klien yang melibatkan seramai 279 pelajar tahun akhir program kerja sosial di enam buah universiti awam, Malaysia. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan analisis data menggunakan program SPSS versi 23 menerusi ujian Jadual Silang untuk menilai tahap antara pemboleh ubah. Sebanyak sembilan item dikenal pasti dalam pengkajian ini iaitu memahami kepelbagaian klien berdasarkan etnik, budaya, gender, orientasi seksual, agama, keupayaan fizikal dan mental, umur dan latar belakang. Penemuan kajian menunjukkan sebilangan besar pelajar program kerja sosial mampu memahami aspek kepelbagaian klien dan tidak mempunyai halangan untuk memahaminya. Borang soal selidik Technostress Creators telah diedarkan kepada seramai 160 orang pekerja yang telah dipilih secara rawak. Data dari soal selidik dianalisis dengan menggunakan Statistical Package for Social Science 11.3 for Windows (SPSS) untuk mendapatkan skor min dan peratusan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tahap teknostres dalam kalangan pegawai pengurusan dan profesional Universiti Awam (UA) berada pada tahap sederhana. Oleh itu, beberapa cadangan telah dibuat untuk mengurangkan teknostres. Seramai 196 orang mahasiswa terdiri daripada 50 orang mahasiswa lelaki dan 146 mahasiswa perempuan yang majoritinya berumur antara 21 hingga 23 tahun dipilih secara rawak sebagai responden kajian. Tiga instrumen digunakan iaitu The Resilience Scale (TRS) bagi mengukur resiliensi, The Muslim-Religious Personality Inventory (MRPI) digunakan untuk menilai religiositi dan Beck Depression Inventory (BDI II) digunakan untuk mengukur tahap depresi. Hasil dapatan menunjukkan majoriti mahasiswa berada pada tahap resiliensi yang sederhana. Manakala tahap religiositi responden adalah tinggi dan depresi mereka berada pada tahap rendah. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara religiositi dengan depresi dan religiositi dengan resiliensi. Hasil kajian ini juga menunjukkan bahawa religiositi mempengaruhi depresi mahasiswa. Walau bagaimanapun, dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa resiliensi tidak mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan depresi. Selain itu, kajian ini juga mendapati bahawa tidak terdapat perbezaan resiliensi, religiositi dan depresi antara mahasiswa lelaki dan mahasiswa perempuan. However, the prevalence of unmarried pregnancy among female adolescents also resulted from rape and incest. Understanding the causes of adolescent pregnancy is crucial because it will give a different perspective. In addition, the way how to tackle this problem and the effects on female adolescents involved are also different. Hence, this article attempts to discuss the issues of voluntary sex, rape, and incest among unmarried pregnant female adolescents in Malaysia. This article is also hopefully can enhance the understanding between voluntary sex, rape, and incest that contributes to unmarried pregnancies among female adolescents in Malaysia. Abstrak Hamil tanpa nikah dalam kalangan remaja amat membimbangkan semua pihak. Permasalahan ini disalahertikan dan sering dikaitkan semata-mata dengan perlakuan seks secara rambang atau seks sukarela di luar pernikahan. Namun demikian, kejadian hamil tanpa nikah dalam kalangan remaja juga turut disebabkan oleh kes rogol dan sumbang mahram. Pemahaman mengenai punca kehamilan remaja amat penting kerana akan memberikan pandangan yang berbeza. Selain daripada itu, cara mengatasi masalah ini dan kesan yang dihadapi oleh para remaja yang terlibat juga berbeza. Oleh hal yang demikian, artikel ini akan cuba membincangkan isu mengenai seks sukarela, rogol dan sumbang mahram yang berlaku dalam kalangan remaja hamil tanpa nikah di Malaysia. The interaction between blood donors who share the same interest might indirectly increase the possibility of blood donation in the future. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the role of social capital among blood donors as a moderator to understand the blood donors’ motivation and intention to donate. This study hypothesizes that Social Capital among Blood Donors (SCBD) increases motivational aspects (attitude, self-efficacy, subjective norms, anticipated regret, self-identity as blood donor, social awareness, and humanitarian) in blood donation. A number of 431 respondents, registered as blood donors at the National Blood Centre, Kuala Lumpur were recruited via random sampling. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires. Results from correlation showed that all motivational aspects, except for subjective norm, were significantly correlated with the intention to donate blood. Meanwhile, results from the regression test reflected that forming social capital among blood donors could strengthen the blood donors’ attitude and the sense of social awareness, which in turn strengthen their intention to donate blood. This finding implies that blood donation campaigns need to highlight the aspect of social capital in the networking of blood donors, such as encouraging them to bring other people to donate blood. This could help to promote the significance of social capital among blood donors. Future researches need to pay attention to the role of social capital as a mechanism that influences the motivational aspects, which help to sustain the intention in volunteering activities. Abstrak Jaringan sosial penderma darah adalah penting bagi membantu mengekalkan konsistensi niat untuk menderma darah secara sukarela. Interaksi antara penderma darah yang berkongsi minat yang sama secara tidak langsung meningkatkan kemungkinan terhadap penglibatan menderma darah di masa depan. Oleh itu, kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peranan modal sosial dalam kalangan penderma darah sebagai moderator bagi memahami motivasi dan niat menderma darah. Kajian ini menjangkakan bahawa Modal Sosial Penderma Darah (MSPD) berupaya meningkatkan motivasi (sikap, efikasi diri, norma subjektif, jangkaan penyesalan, identiti sebagai penderma darah, keprihatinan sosial dan ihsan) untuk menderma darah. Seramai 431 penderma darah yang berdaftar di Pusat Darah Negara, Kuala Lumpur telah dikenalpasti sebagai responden berdasarkan persampelan rawak. Data dikumpul menggunakan soal selidik. Populasi kajian ini adalah pelajar-pelajar yang mengambil kursus Aplikasi Komputer dalam Bahasa Melayu. Persampelan bertujuan dalam kajian ini digunakan untuk mendapatkan kumpulan responden yang mempunyai ciri-ciri tertentu mengikut kehendak kajian. Seramai 243 orang pelajar dipilih sebagai sampel kajian. Dalam kajian rintis, beberapa aspek penyesuaian item telah dijalankan sehingga terhasil nilai Cronbach Alpha yang tinggi (0.89). Data yang dikumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan korelasi Pearson. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara Dimensi Reka Bentuk, Dimensi Penilaian Terhadap Pengajar, Dimensi Kandungan dan Dimensi Penilaian dengan Pembelajaran Mod Teradun Berasaskan Modul Interactive Lecture. The purposeful sampling was used to obtain a group of respondents who have certain characteristics according to the requirements of the study. A total of 243 students was selected as the study sample. In the pilot study, several aspects of item adjustment were carried out resulting in a high Cronbach Alpha value (0.89). The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlations. The findings of the study indicate that there is a significant relationship between the Design Dimension, Evaluation of Educators Dimension, Content Dimension and Evaluation Dimension with Blended learning mode based on Interactive Lecture Module among students who are taking Computer Applications in Bahasa Melayu. The findings explain that in order to increase the level of Blended learning mode based on Interactive Lecture Module among students, the Design Dimension, Evaluation of Educators Dimension, Content Dimension and Evaluation Dimension need to be enhanced. Research on an integrated framework that cover personal predictors of innovative work behavior is still limited specifically among Malaysia government school teachers. This research incorporated the components of an individual’s behavioral (behavior-focused), cognitive (constructive thought pattern and natural reward) and physiological (physical vitality) approach as self-leadership strategies that serve as predictors of innovative work behavior. This research used Revised Self-Leadership Questionnaires (RSLQ) to measure teacher’s self-leadership strategies and Innovative Behavior Scale by Robert and Christopher (2001) was used to measure individual’s innovative behavior. This research utilized quantitative approach where questionnaires were distributed to 250 government school teachers as a sample of the research. Overall, 234 completed questionnaires were usable for data analysis. The data was analyzed by using IBM Statistical Package for Social Science 22 statistical. The findings indicated that behavior focused strategies, constructive thought pattern strategies, natural reward strategies and physiological strategies significantly affected innovative work behavior of government school teachers. The findings of the study may help organizations to increase teachers’ innovative work behavior by improving teachers’ self-leadership strategies at the workplace. Abstrak Tingkah laku kerja inovatif telah mendapat perhatian dalam literatur tingkah laku organisasi. Kajian berkaitan modellengkap yang memberikan penekanan kepada elemen tingkah laku kerja inovatif masih terhad khususnya dalam kalangan guru sekolah kerajaan Malaysia. Kajian ini menggabungkan komponen pendekatan tingkah laku (tingkah laku berfokus), kognitif (corakpemikiran konstruktif dan ganjaran semula jadi) dan fisiologikal (kecergasan fizikal) sebagai strategi kepemimpinan diri yang berfungsi sebagai peramal kepada tingkah laku kerja inovatif. Kajian ini juga menggunakanRevision Self-Leadership Questionnaires (RSLQ) untuk mengukur strategi kepemimpinan diri dan Innovative Behavior Scale oleh Robert danChristopher (2001) digunakan untuk mengukur tingkah laku inovatif individu.
