Antara pendekatan diperkenalkan oleh Jabatan Penjara iaitu Sistem Parol yang memainkan peranan penting dalam memastikan banduan yang dibebaskan secara Parol dapat kembali kepada masyarakat sebagai seseorang yang berguna kepada negara dan mematuhi undang-undang yang sedia ada. Oleh itu artikel akan membincangkan mengenai sejauh manakah pencapaian perlaksanaan program Orang Di parol (ODP) yang dilaksanakan oleh Jabatan Penjara Malaysia khususnya di Bahagian Parol dan Perkhidmatan Komuniti berdasarkan kepada kajian yang dilakukan terhadap Pegawai Penjara (40 orang sampel) di bahagian tersebut. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tahap keberkesanan perlaksanaan Program ODP amat memberi kesan yang positif kepada ODP. Namun walaupun berkesan terdapat juga kelemahan-kelemahan dan cabaran-cabaran dalam perlaksanaan program ODP menurut responden. Oleh itu, pihak penjara perlulah sentiasa membuat penambahbaikan Sistem Parol dari masa ke semasa agar terus relevan dengan perubahan zaman supaya menjadi lebih komprehensif dan efesien. Abstract Various approaches have been taken by the Malaysian Prisons Department as an institution specifically responsible for the rehabilitation of prisoners to assist in rebuilding themselves so that they can play a role again in society whether as wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, employees, and others. Among the approaches introduced by the Prisons Department is the Parole System which plays an important role in ensuring that prisoners released by Parole can return to society as someone who is useful to the country and complies with existing laws. Therefore, the article will discuss the extent to which the implementation of the implementation of the ODP program implemented by the Malaysian Prisons Department, especially in the Parole and Community Services Division based on the study conducted on Prison Officers (40 people sample) in that division. The results show that the level of effectiveness of the implementation of the ODP Program has a very positive impact on the ODP. However, although effective, there are also weaknesses and challenges in the implementation of the ODP program according to the respondents. Therefore, the prison must constantly make improvements to the Parole System from time to time in order to remain relevant to the changing times to be more comprehensive and efficient. Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti hubungan antara sifat spiritual ibu bapa dengan estim kendiri pelajar Fakulti Pengajian Pendidikan, UPM. Responden terdiri daripada 205 orang pelajar dipilih mengikut kaedah persampelan kluster. Instrumen yang digunakan iaitu soal selidik Parental Spiritual Characteristics Scales (PSCS) dan RosenbergSelf-Esteem Scale (RSES). Ujian statistik yang digunakan ialah kaedah analisis diskriptif dan analisis Pearson Correlation. Hasil kajian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan sifat spiritual ibu bapa dengan estim kendiri pelajar Fakulti Pengajian Pendidikan, UPM. Kajian ini turut memberikan manfaat kepada pihak universiti, ibu bapa dan kaunselor dalam memahami aspek-aspek sifat spiritual ibu bapa dan estim kendiri pelajar. Abstract The spiritual nature of parents in educating children has a tremendous impact not only on family relationships but also on the child’s own personality when they become adults. The purpose of this study is to identify the spiritual characteristics of parents who are often practiced with the students’ selfesteem of the Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM. Respondents were 205 students, selected according to cluster sampling method. The instruments used were Parental Spiritual Characteristics Scales (PSCS) and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES). The statistical test used is descriptive analysis and Pearson Correlation. The results showed that there was a relationship between the parents’ spiritual character and the self-esteem of the Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM. This study also benefits the university, parents and counselors in understanding aspects of parent’s spiritual traits and student self- esteem. Kajian ini berbentuk deskriptif dengan menggunakan kaedah tinjauan. Populasi kajian terdiri daripada guru-guru Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) di Negeri Perlis, Kedah dan Pulau Pinang. Seramai 60 orang guru dipilih dengan menggunakan persampelan bertujuan. Modul T3P dan soal selidik digunakan sebagai instrumen kajian dan item-item untuk soal selidik diadaptasikan dari kajian-kajian lepas dan tinjauan literatur. Dalam kajian rintis beberapa aspek penyesuaian item telah dijalankan sehingga terhasil nilai Cronbach Alpha yang tinggi (0.90). Data yang dikumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan korelasi pearson. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa variabel kesesuaian dan kerelevanan modul T3P mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dan tinggi dengan persepsi guru terhadap Modul T3P. Dapatan kajian memberi implikasi bahawa pembangunan profesionalisme keguruan yang sesuai dan relevan amat diperlukan untuk menambahbaik kemahiran PdPC bagi menjayakan transformasi pendidikan. Abstract The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the suitability and relevance of the module with teachers’ perceptions on the T3P Module in the development of teacher professionalism. This study is using the descriptive survey method. The population of the study consists of Secondary School (SMK) teachers in the states of Perlis, Kedah and Penang. A total of 60 teachers was selected using purposeful sampling. T3P modules and questionnaires were used as research instruments and items for questionnaires were adapted from previous studies and literature reviews. In the pilot study several aspects of item adjustment were carried out resulting in a high Cronbach Alpha value (0.90). The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlations. The findings show that the suitability and relevance variables have a significant and high relationship with teachers’ perceptions with the T3P Module. The findings of the study have implications that the development of suitable and relevant teaching professionalism is essential to improve teaching and facilitating skills for successful educational transformation. The stress management skills for these groups are important to achieve quality and life satisfaction. The main objective of this study was to evaluate the association between stress management skills and life satisfaction among secondary school students. In addition, this study also examines the differences stress management skills and life satisfaction by gender. This survey study involved 1,067 respondents consisting of students from form one to six (aged 13 to 18 years old) around Kota Kinabalu and Kudat, Sabah. The research instrument used in this study is the Emotional Quotient Inventory Youth Version (EQ-i: YV) and Cantril's Vertical Visual-Analog Scale Ladder of Life Satisfaction which has been translated into Malay. Data were analyzed by using correlation test and independent sample t-test. Results showed that there was a positive correlation between stress management skills and life satisfaction among secondary school students. Meanwhile, the results of the independent sample t-test analysis showed that there was a difference in stress management and life satisfaction by gender. However, the revelation of the Surah al Ahzab (4-5) of the Holy Quran had corrected the practice and leading to different understanding of the adoption concept between the Moslem and Non-Moslem communities. Today, the practice of adoption is noticeable in varied forms and understandings in Malaysia. Hence, this article explains the adoption practices in Malaysia especially the concepts of adopted child, breastfed child, and foster child between the Moslem and Non-Moslem communities. Library research method was used to conduct the comparison. The three concepts have distinct meanings in the local context and have been affecting the norm, cultural practices and legislation in Malaysia. Thus, it is suggested that educating general public to accurately comprehend the concept of adoption in Malaysia is needed. This survey was conducted to determine the relation of self-reflection with the three dimension of counseling competence; performing helping skill, managing the counseling process, and handling challenging counseling situations. A total of 100 trainee counselors from four public universities in Malaysia were involved in this study. The instrument used in this study is Self-awareness and Management Strategies (SAMS) Scale to measured the self-reflection, and the Counselor Activity Self- Efficacy Scales (CASES) to measured the counseling competence. MP-SI is an intervention that specifically developed to help Muslim married couples build a close relationship with Allah SWT, with themselves, and with their respective couples. This intervention is a structured format. In each session, the participants are exposed to the knowledge of Islamic marriage. The content of this intervention takes into account the content of the Holy Quran on man’s creation, which consisted of four important elements, nafs (soul), aql (intellect), qalb (heart), and ruh (spirit). The participants are exposed to effective communication skills, worked as teams to resolve problems, managed conflicts without decreasing closeness, preserved, and enhanced attachment through communication elements, conflict resolutions, forgiveness, sakinah (tranquility), mawaddah (love with passion), and rahmah (mercy). Kak Jun has now completely returned to the Shari’ah compliant lifestyle, and he is actively preaching to the transgender community. This study focuses on the factors that motivate Kak Jun to work towards returning to a pattern of sharia-compliant life. In Malaysia, based on the community’s policing, the community needs the presence of policemen. Unlike the outside world, their community members do not need the presence of police personnel everywhere. The crime prevention concept of Community Policing has long been established. The implementation of the current schemes, the Residents and Rukun Tetangga Association has helped a lot in preventing criminal activity in the surrounding communities. Among the current schemes currently and in Malaysia are the Salleh System, Partner Cop, Voluntary Patrolling Scheme, People’s Volunteer Corps, Police Volunteers, Department of Public Defense Malaysia, Amanita, Motorcycle Patrol Unit and National Blue Ocean Strategy. The implementation and achievement of community policing programs in Malaysia based on eleven organizations under the community policing demonstrate strongly in assisting PDRM especially in combating crime today. Therefore, with these organizations, it will also alleviate the task of members of the PDRM where the community has joined the members in full control of public safety. This study aims to obtain an overview of shifts or changes in aspects of culture in Sedulur Sikep Samin Karangpace Traditional Community. One aspect of culture studied was the aspect of the social system. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach through descriptive methods, with 7 informants.
