From this we aim to analyse Ebola epidemic which in 2014 and 2015 devastated Sierra Leona, Liberia and Guinea. We have showed current status of epidemiology and have studied Ebola as a preliminary step to delimitate this work, in which we investigate various demographic and sanitary issues previous to Ebola epidemic, as well as the epidemic evolution and some epidemic effects. Lastly, we have linked at provincial level the number of Ebola cases with the geographic data collected across the work. Los objetivos de la mencionada expedicion consistian en ampliar y completar las colecciones minerales pertenecientes al Gabinete de Historia Natural. La expedicion arribaria a Montevideo, dirigiendose posteriormente a Argentina, para recorrer, finalmente, diversas zonas de Chile, Peru y Bolivia. La coleccion que se obtuvo de aquel itinerario, se encuentra actualmente en el Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales, poseyendo un gran valor historico al conservar el etiquetado original,  consistente en una clasificacion en grupos, mediante simbolos alquimicos. The expedition of the Heuland brothers, took place from 1795 to 1800, during the reign of Charles IV. The objectives of that expedition were to expand and complete mineral collections belonging to the Cabinet of Natural History. The expedition would arrive to Montevideo, going then to Argentina and, finally, to go through different areas of Chile, Peru and Bolivia. La enorme deforestacion que esta zona ha experimentado desde tiempos historicos plantea una intervencion de cara a su posible recuperacion y para ello es previo entender el funcionamiento fitoclimatico que permite recrear no solo las condiciones ambientales del entorno sino tambien sus posibilidades a fin de ponderar las diferentes actuaciones a desarrollar. La aplicacion del metodo de los Diagramas Bioclimaticos nos ha permitido caracterizar las diferentes localidades ubicadas a lo largo del valle del Zancara y ponderar de manera pormenorizada la gradacion termica, pluviometrica y fitoclimatica desde el inicio del curso fluvial a su desembocadura en el Ciguela. The present work focuses on the phytoclimatic characterization of a spatial environment located in the South Sub - Plateau and that coincides with the confines of the valley of the river Zancara in territories of the provinces of Cuenca and Ciudad Real. Aunque aun hoy en dia el entorno rayano siga siendo una de las zonas menos desarrolladas de la Union Europea (UE), ha sido precisamente la UE, a traves de su politica de inversiones derivada de su Politica Regional, quien ha impulsado la creacion de entidades transfronterizas de diversa entidad –regionales y municipales-. Una de estas iniciativas la constituyen las denominadas eurociudades, integradas por dos o mas ciudades fronterizas de dos estados de la UE. Entre Espana y Portugal se han formado cuatro en la ultima decada. Las cuatro eurociudades rayanas nacieron inicialmente mediante acuerdos entre municipios proximos, vinculados historicamente aunque pertenecientes a los dos estados ibericos. En principio se basa en compartir recursos y sinergias para la promocion conjunta, pero con vocacion, a largo plazo segun proclaman sus responsables, de convertirse en una sola ciudad con un solo gobierno municipal. The Hispano-Portuguese border - referred to as «la Raya» in Spanish- has been usually considered as a demographical isolated paramo. Nevertheless, you must weigh against this reality that the 1200 km borderline is also as secular world of subtle and powerful cross-border relationships between cities. Nowadays, the Raya is one of less developed region of the European Community. For this reason, the EC, through European Regional Development Fund, is encouraging the foundation of several border-cross entities (regional and municipal). This cooperation may take the form of Eurocities formed by a couple or more European State borderline cities. In the past decade, four Eurocities have been created between Spain and Portugal, being born initially with agreements between close cities, with historical links but each one in a different country. Several aspects are highlighted: the importance of cultural heritage, which justifies the classification of certain urban environments as “cultural landscapes”, as well as the complex social relationships that help explain their advanced state of deterioration and the threats that loom over them. To achieve this, a review of the literature and the statistical analysis of secondary data are used. {"title":"Las prácticas lúdicas en la calle y la imagen del centro de la ciudad en Santiago de Chile: Recreational practices on the street and the image of the city center of Santiago de Chile","authors":"Natacha Calvet Tapia","doi":"10.5944/ETFVI.8-9.2016.16356","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5944/ETFVI.8-9.2016.16356","url":null,"abstract":"Este articulo analiza la relacion de la imagen del espacio central de una ciudad y la calle como escenario de esparcimiento y las practicas ludicas que en ellas se manifiestan. Los espacios que permiten o promueven las actividades ludicas y festivas, ya sean parques, plazas, paseos o simplemente calles, en el Centro de la ciudad de Santiago de Chile responden a la necesidad consensual de todos los actores que componen ese espacio. Contribuyen a crear sentimientos de pertenencia e identidad, a disimular las diferencias sociales, como tambien constituyen una necesidad desde el punto de vista turistico y comercial. Mejoran la calidad de vida de los habitantes, a la vez que construyen una imagen positiva del territorio. Los espacios ludicos y las actividades ludicas son utilizados como instrumento por todos los actores y colectividades sociales, ya sea para ordenar, normalizar y estructurar dichos espacios y dichas practicas; o para criticar y subvertir ese orden; o para obtener beneficios economicos. No existe una relacion de causa-efecto entre la organizacion espacial planificada y las vivencias y apropiacion de un espacio por parte de la poblacion. Dicho de otra manera las personas no necesariamente usan o viven el espacio segun sea la voluntad institucional. This article examines the relationship between the images of central and the street as a leisurely space in a city against the recreational practices that are enacted in them. The spaces that foster festive and recreational activities, such as parks, squares or simply streets in the center of Santiago de Chile meet a consensual need of all actors involved.
