In the collection of stories, The sound of guimbarde behind the stone fence, Do Bich Thuy expressed her concern about climate change and the fate of people in those changes. The core of ecoethical thought in this collection of stories is a change in perception of nature, awareness of the human's position in the heart of nature as nature is also a part of human life, the memories of the homeland and the root from which to call people back to stay in harmony with nature. At the same time, Do Bich Thuy directly addressed some pressing issues such as the misuse and appropriation of nature, and urged people to penetrate, comprehend, and treat nature fairly in order to coexist with it.","PeriodicalId":312958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science Educational Science","volume":"439 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121462856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the acceleration of industrialization and under the guidance of China’s Belt and Road initiative, tin ore mining, as a foundation for the steel industry, has achieved a significant growth rate and production output. Despite of the macroeconomic achievements, tin ore mining industry has caused adverse impacts to local. This paper seeks to understand how local community experienced the whole range of impacts from the exploitation of tin ores. The study applies the qualitative research method through 19 semi-structured in-depth interviews, participant and field observation in Na Hieng village, Chau Hong commune, Quy Hop district, Nghe An. The finding reveals that although mining industry might play a significant role in local economic growth, this activity has increasingly caused property damage, social instability and environmental degradation. The authors endeavor to provide timely empirical research to advance knowledge on mining industry with a special focus on the different consequences of tin ore mining in the affected community.","PeriodicalId":312958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science Educational Science","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127121488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, active learning is an issue to consider in the context of 21st century, especially in Asian countries. The flipped classroom is the model which has been used recently, especially after the pandemic COVID-19. The model adapted from the active learning theory has been discovered with quite a lot of advantages. With the methods of consulting materials of prestigious works in international journals and personal experience, this study is going to clarify several issues of active learning theory, flipped classroom model associated with this theory. As a result, a few advantages of the flipped classrooms can be seen: learners self control their learning activities, increasing their own opportunities of learning; learners are the center, interactive activities are focused on; learners are responsible and independent, developing high level thinking.","PeriodicalId":312958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science Educational Science","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129833010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

General Mathematical Education Curriculum 2018 pointed out the significance of rising experiential activities and real-life context in learning progression, that conduct to complete developing learner’s competencies objectives. According to Australian Curriculum and The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) researches, we found out that financial education, which promotes financial literacy for citizens, plays an important role in recent years. Especially in mathematical education, consumer and financial literacy offers rich opportunities for interdisciplinary approaches that support students to apply mathematical knowledge and skills confidently, effectively and appropriately in complex and changing circumstances, in their learning at school and in their lives outside school. For that reason, they could achieve dual goals which are fostering mathematical competencies and financial literacy. In this article, we propose a designing process of experiential activities which integrates consumer and financial literacy in Mathematics and illustrate the process through an example.","PeriodicalId":312958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science Educational Science","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115554987","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The movements, manipulation and troubleshooting of the virtual experiment (VE) are simulated using the Unity engine. The web-based VE was developed and evaluated the impact of VE by comparing a group of deployed students (Group 1) with a group of non-implemented students (Group 2). The results of implementation in students show that Group 1 had higher average test scores in understanding the concepts, definitions, steps of the experiment, and notes on using laboratory equipment compared to Group 2 (p<0.05). The students in Group 1 were also more confident in performing skills in scientific procedures as well as the ability to acquire knowledge in the laboratory was higher than in Group 2 (p<0.05). The students in Group 1 highly appreciated the criteria of the benefits of VE in memorizing concepts, steps of the experiment, and helping to recognize common mistakes during the experiment (p<0, 05). However, VE still cannot replace the \"real\" biology experiment in improving learners' manipulation skills. Research results showed that VE can become a powerful tool to cooperate with traditional educational methods in training students in biological laboratory skills.","PeriodicalId":312958,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Science Educational Science","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114880368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
