The use of tobacco plants is generally limited to the leaf portion used for making cigarettes. It poses a serious thread to the healt of the human body as well as the environment. Use of tobacco leaves as vegetable fungicides can be used as an alternative to combating fungal attack on agricultural commodities. One cause of agricultural commodity damage is the decomposition caused by the fungus of C. gloeosporioides and L. theorobromae attack. The research aims to learn the effects of the extract of tobacco leaves on the growth of the mold C. gloeosporioides and L. theorobromae, learn to know the minimum concentration of inhibition (KHM) and the minimum killing concentration (KBM) of tobacco leaves on the mold C. gloeosporioides and L. theorobromae. The research used a complete randomized design with a reated trial of 3 times. The results showed that the extract of tobacco leaves no significant impact in hinting the growth of the mold C. gloeosporioides and L. theorobromae. Minimum concentration testing of tobacco leaves (KHM) shows that the extract of 50% concentration of tobacco leaves is KHM of the C. gloeosporioides and L. theorobromae. The extract of 100% concentrated tobacco leaves is the minimum kill concentrate (KBM) of L. theorobromae. Minimum kill concentration of fungus C. gloeosporioides cannot be determined. The ex situ conversion by cultivation is needed to provide the suitable environment to ensure the plants grow in their natural habitat and maintain their properties. One of the traditional medicinal plants in Sanggau Malay which has been believed to neutralize the toxin is “anggrek penawar racun” ( Plocoglottis lowii Rcbb.f.). This research was important to be done since there was no data and information about mychorrizal type associated to root of orchid P. lowii Rchb.f. in its natural habitat. The aim of this research was to find out the data and information about the types, the characteristics, and the percentage of mycchorizal fungal infection in root tissue for conservation and cultivation purpose. The research used 10% KOH heating method and freehand section coloring using Trypan Blue, Acid Fushin dan Safranin-O conducted in cross section of the roots. The results showed that there was only one species of fungi and it was identified as Rhizoctonia sp. Binucleate type. The highest percentage of mycchorizal infection  occurred at the tip of the roots (90%). It has been found that the location of mychorrizal infection has occurred between the epidermis and cortex. Therefore, the increasing of soybean production has to be considered to decrease the dependency on imported. Soybean production can be increased by the cultivation technique. In this method, the present of weed should be concerned. Weed can reduce the quality and quantity of soybean. The research was done at Kebun Pendidikan, Penelitian dan Pengembangan Pertanian (KP4) Gadjah Mada University which located at Kalitirto, Berbah, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This research started on November 2015-April 2016. The research aims to identify the effects of weed on the growth analysis of several soybean cultivar. This field research is arranged using spit plot with three blocks as the repetition where the main-plot is the weed treatments and those are weed-free, weeding in a critical period, and weedy. Sub plot is the soybean cultivars which are Anjasmoro, Argomulyo, Burangrang, Gema, Gepak Kuning, Kaba, and Wilis. The research’s result show the weed treatments would effect no significant difference in the leaf area index, net assimilation rate, crop growth rate (3 to 6 weeks after planted/WAP), specific leaf weight, and leaf area ratio (3 WAP). This study was conducted to analyze the performance of the value chain of cocoa beans. The data used in this study was the primary data obtained depth interviews with respondents from; farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, companies and consumers. The method used to analyze in this study was the economic value added method. From the result, the highest revenue was found in the sales of the fermented dry cocoa seeds which was about 15.47; this showed that it is necessary for the farmers to apply the fermentation process to their cocoa products in order to boost their value and get bigger revenue. But the problem was the farmers need more time for the fermentation process as well as spending more money in buying fermentation box which are needed for the fermentation process. The sales of wet or non-fermented dry cacao seeds actually have low R/C value but farmers just do not want to bother themselves with the fermentation process so they end up in selling their products in wet or non-fermented dry state. Meanwhile, the process of making chocolate bar product has not given much value yet; eventhough this process should be able to give more value, considering the price for every kg of chocolate bar is around 65,000 Rupiahs. In this case, the cost for the cacao processing machine became the depression burden which cannot be covered by the amount of the cacao products produced by farmers. Sudah banyak penelitian tentang hama ini, salah satunya adalah tentang asosiasinya dengan parasitoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui parasitoid yang memarasit E. thrax di kebun plasma nutfah pisang Yogyakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan April – Juni 2018 dengan pengambilan sampel dilakukan seminggu sekali, Pengambilan sampel E. thrax dilakukan secara langsung. Pengambilan dilakukan beserta daun yang digulungnya. Sampling dilakukan dengan metode transek Penentuan titik transek ditentukan sejauh 500m antar titik sampling. Pada setiap titik sampling dilakukan pengambilan E. thrax dari 4 tanaman pisang yang dijadikan tanaman sampel. Hama yang diambil kemudian dibawa pulang untuk dipelihara sampai mati atau sampai keluar parasitoidnya. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 5 spesies parasitoid yang memarasit E. thrax pada lokasi penelitian. Ke-lima parsitoid tersebut adalah Brachymeria sp., Xanthopimpla sp., Telenomus sp., Ooencyrtus sp. dan Cotesia erionotae. The use of oil palm empty bunches (tankos) as a medium for the growth of Pleurotus ostreatus was carried out  to determine the effect of tankos as a medium on Pleurotus ostreatus yield. The experiment was conducted at the Production House of Pleurotus ostreatus Desa Cerme, Grogol, Kediri. This experiment was used non factorial Randomized Complete Block Design consisting of 5 treatments which is the ratio of tankos and sawdust for medium, there are 0%:100%; 25%:75%; 50%:50%; 75%:25%; and 100%:0%. The results showed that tankos potential as a medium for Pleurotus ostreatus, as indicated by the content of lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose which are nutrients for growth and development fungal, the higher the composition of the tankos, the higher the nutrient content. The observations for the hood diameter, harvest interval, and wet weight were best in the composition treatment of 50% Tankos: 50% Sawdust. Therefore, this study was designed to explore farmers’ perception of climate change and investigate changes in seasonal temperature and rainfall over the last two decades. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was employed to analyze the perceptions of farmers about climate change vulnerabilities and their adaptation strategies to cope with the changing climatic conditions. The results revealed that regarding environmental services, water availability was decreased due to low rainfall. In addition, the supply of firewood was also decreased due to a high demand on fuel and construction purposes. Furthermore, there was an increase in population density and a decrease in medicinal plants and wildlife due to deforestation. The temperature increased over the last 20 years and the length of the summer period was longer due to less rainfall while the duration of winter turned to be short. It is reported that the spring season is almost merged in the summer season, with the increase of temperature during the spring. Berdasarkan hal ini perlu dikembangkan berbagai energi alternatif yang dapat diperbaharui, ramah lingkungan, dan berkelanjutan  salah satunya adalah bioetanol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan (NH 4 ) 2 H 2 PO 4 pada eksplorasi khamir indegenous nira aren, kelapa, nipah, dan siwalan yang potensial untuk produksi etanol. Penelitian ini diawali dengan sampling nira aren dan kelapa serta nira nipah dan nira siwalan. Langkah berikutnya adalah skrining khamir penghasil etanol dengan penambahan (NH 4 ) 2 H 2 PO 4 pada Nira meliputi pH, kadar gula reduksi dengan menggunakan metode DNS, waktu fermentasi (0, 2,4,6) hari, dan jumlah sel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kondisi awal nira, yaitu pH nira aren 4,9 kelapa 3,7, nipah 4,3, dan siwalan 4,7, kemudian gula reduksi nira aren 13,41 mg/mL, kelapa 17,09 mg/mL, nipah 33,38 mg/mL, dan siwalan 43,35 mg/mL, kadar etanol nira aren 1,53%, kelapa 4,4 %, nipah 0,3%, dan siwalan 0,23%. Berdasar data tersebut terlihat kadar etanol tertinggi pada nira kelapa, sehingga skrining berikutnya dengan menggunakan nira kelapa dengan penambahan (NH 4 ) 2 H 2 PO 4 . Berdasar isolasi khamir dari keempat Nira diperoleh isolat sejumlah 48. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui virus penyebab penyakit pada tanaman pepaya di Malang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Virologi, Jurusan Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya dan rumah kaca di Desa Karangwidoro, Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif  untuk mengetahui jenis virus pada tanaman pepaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gejala pada tanaman pepaya di lapang yaitu mosaik dan klorosis pada lamina daun serta adanya bercak cincin atau ringspot pada permukaan buah. Hasil penularan pada tanaman indikator C henopodium amaranticolor dan C henopodium quinoa menghasilkan gejala lesio lokal nekrosis. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi menggunakan TEM morfologi partikel virus tergolong kelompok Potyvirus, berbentuk filament flexuous dengan ukuran sekitar 800-900 nm x 12 nm. Virus yang diuji mempunyai kisaran inang tanaman dari famili Caricaceae dan dua jenis tanaman dari famili Cucurbitaceae yaitu C ucumis sativus dan C ucumis melo L. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian sifat fisik virus diketahui nilai Dilution End-Point (DEP), Thermal Inactivation Point (TIP), dan Longevity In Vitro (LIV) virus yang diuji yaitu 10 -5 -10 -6 , 65 o C, dan 24-48 jam pada suhu ruang.
