Ho","doi":"10.35382/18594816.1.45.2021.781","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35382/18594816.1.45.2021.781","url":null,"abstract":"\u0000 \u0000 \u0000This study employed signaling theory for building and testing conceptual model to explore the role of quality cues (including University Business Cooperation (UBC) and Credibility Brand (CB)) to signal the quality for products which had unobservable quality and their impact on perceived sacrifice for increasing consumer’s purchase intention. The study was conducted with two independent cases: Tra Vinh Viettel and Tra Vinh University (TVU), there were 121 telecommunications service customers and 159 senior students interviewed, then the SmartPLS software was used for analyzing data. The research results confirmed these cues to be the quality signals; Credibility Brand negatively effects on perceived sacrifice in case 1, but for case 2, this has no statistical significance; UBC effects on perceived sacrifice in both cases positively. The results encourage enterprises and universities to invest in UBC and CB appropriately to effectively exploit this quality signal and also to attract customers to consume more products. Thirteen locations were selected with eight water quality variables at each location;which were temperature, pH, nitrate (NO3--N), total suspended solids (TSS), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD), coliforms, and total oil and grease were collected. Surface water quality data were compared with the Vietnamese standards. Cluster analysis (CA) and principal component analysis(PCA) were applied to determine the sampling locations and water variables affecting water quality in the residential and urban areas. The results showed that the parameters of temperature, pH, and NO3- - N were within the allowable limits - while TSS, BOD, COD, coliforms, and total oil and grease exceeded the permitted limit. The results of CA indicated that 13 sampling points could be reduced to 8, saving nearly 40% of the water quality monitoring costs which could be provided the cost for water treatment of water bodies. PCA revealed that at least three sources of pollution could explain 83.7% of the water quality fluctuations. The main sources that affected surface water quality in residential and urban areas could be wastewater, solid wastes, stormwater runoff, and other hydrological factors. Further studies need to investigate and curb the sources of water pollution. The question of ‘a faithful translated version’ gains most importance in the translation process. The main focus of this research is to foreground the Buddhist theory of interpretation and translation and to look into the Vietnamese translated version of Majjhima Nikaya (MN) of Theravada Buddhism’s Pali Sutta Collection semantically and etymologically. The study found out that, just like translated works in any other language, the Vietnamese translations of the suttas are still not satisfactory versions for readers- both monks and laypeople, as the translators determined the meanings of Buddhist texts from their own cultural and religious experience, outlook, and interpretative traditions. Han (Chinese) language influence of the Mahayana tradition suttas was also commonly found on both semantic and etymological features of the translations. Therefore, there is a crucial need to envisage and define proper methods of translation that would help translators of Buddhist religious texts to convey the real meaning of Buddha’s teaching to the learners. This is very crucial in the Asian contexts, especially in Vietnam, because Asian conceptions of language, interpretation, translation, literature, aesthetics are very different from that of the West, and even vary by country. Future translators should have a professional attitude towards the translation of such religious texts, should possess both language proficiency and wide knowledge in religious matters. In the study, 220 customers who had undergone medicalexamination and treatment at Tra Vinh University Hospital were selected as the sample to participate in the survey. The study was conducted by using the methods of assessing the reliability of the scale by Cronbach’s Alpha, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and regression analysis. The results show that there are six factors affecting customer satisfaction with the quality of medical examination and treatment services including (1)Information, (2) Continuity and efficiency, (3) Respect and consideration, (4) Conformity, (5) Facilities and (6) Payment of medical fees at Tra Vinh University Hospital.
