De manera simultania, els estils \u0000democratics i la valencianitzacio dels projectes educatius s'aplicaren gradualment en la \u0000xarxa publica. Les assemblees, les comissions mixtes, la direccio col·legiada, els consells \u0000de centre i la introduccio del valencia com a llengua vehicular i d'ensenyament \u0000foren algunes de les practiques utilitzades. Apart from the outstanding figures such as Pere Verges, Artur Martorell or Anna Rubies other factors determined and contributed to spreading the didactic and methodological proposals that would make up a new pedagogy of reading, based on the New School movement. Sobre la base d'aquests suposits es revisa \u0000l'impacte de les idees de Rousseau en el Romanticisme del segle xix, sense perdre de \u0000vista les critiques que la seva pedagogia va mereixer dels ideolegs del Noucentisme \u0000(Eugeni d'Ors, Joaquim Xirau). Tambe els proposa col·laborar en la nova politica del MEC que emprengue el govern socialista en materia de formacio de mestres i professors, i en la construccio d'una escola publica de qualitat. Reflexionando sobre su propia produccion de «historias» de la educacion, los dos autores observan que las ventajas de metodologia de la utilizacion de fuentes orales, autobiografias, estadisticas, fotografias, peliculas, fuentes materiales, etc. fueron exageradas por el entusiasmo excesivo (el impulso del «descubrimiento») de investigadores por trabajar con estas llamadas nuevas fuentes. Desarrollan la tesis de que no existe una unica fuente privilegiada para la investigacion historica en pedagogia, y que una historia de la educacion debidamente matizada y contextualizada se basa en cualquier caso en una combinacion de todo tipo de materiales de fuentes. Pero la investigacion historica es mas que una busqueda de la fuente «definitiva»: un historiador que permanece prisionero de sus fuentes produce trabajos que son forzosamente muy descriptivos e incluyen explicaciones «desde las fuentes»; no es la fuente lo que se encuentra en el inicio de la operacion historiografica sino el/los interrogante/es que se plantean en la investigacion y son estos interrogantes los decisivos para la utilizacion de las fuentes, incluidas fuentes convencionales como las revistas pedagogicas, marcadas por los autores como la madre de todas las fuentes. Ademas, la respuesta a los interrogantes de la investigacion no depende unicamente ni tampoco principalmente de las fuentes utilizadas, sino de la interpretacion que se hace del pasado en base a estas fuentes. Y esto ocurre mediante un completo arsenal de instrumentos: conceptos, teorias, paradigmas y demas. No hay ninguna fuente definitiva, como tampoco existe ninguna interpretacion o explicacion definitiva. Desde esta perspectiva el posicionamiento iconofobico que se ha atribuido a los autores no tiene, por lo tanto, apenas fundamento. Iconofobos o iconofilos, poco importa, mientras los resultados de la investigacion sean validos. EnglishIn this contribution we enter into the workplace of the historian of education. By reflecting on their own production of «histories» of education it seems to the authors that the methodological advantage of the use of oral history, ego documents, statistics, pictures, films, material objects of school culture, and other «forgotten» sources from everyday life in education was often exaggerated because of the enthusiasm for the «innovation» of their approach. On the basis of their own research experience they develop the thesis that there is no single privileged source for research in the history of education. Well nuanced and contextualized «histories» of education have to rest on a combination of all sorts of source material. Historical research is more than a search for the ultimate source: a historian who remains imprisoned in the sources necessarily produces descriptive works with explanations «from» the sources.
